    Build Your Own (Calzone)

Great spot in Springfield for drinks, pizza and more. The build your own calzone was massive. I had a salad to accompany my meal and that was also huge, could share it between 2-4 people. Service was good and food came out quickly since it wasn't super busy. The restaurant is easy to find and parking is available on street. Good visit, with no issues. A nice place for a quick bite and good vibes.

2.5 stars. Let's be clear - this is 1-star level food. The pizza is floppy, with a thick gummy cheese layer that dwarfs the crust and overly salty sauce. The slices I got were noticeably uneven and different sizes, and looked like they had been sliced by Stevie Wonder. The Caesar salad is more dressing than salad, with croutons from the bag. I recall coming here years ago and the food being above average, but definitely not the case now. Some points are made back through an affordable lunch special (9.75 for two slices and a drink) and very friendly service. But this was a bummer.

Whata time with Jacksonville Eats at Crispys with an added bonues of 80s trivia night. I had a blast I was alone but the buz at Crispys was infectious. I will be back with the wifey. What a time I had $3 drafts and $1 wings. You cant go wrong. All in all I had a good time. I knew 8 of the king of Pop songs that were number 1 in the 1980s. I had the dry rub lemon pepper wings. Alittle salty for my taste but hot and finger licking good. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you Jacksonville Eats and Crispys for hosting.

I stopped in to see a few friends who are active Trivia participants. Thursday was 80's Trivia night. The place was buzzing with guest and the music from the game LOUD! I just had a few beers but my friend ordered the Calzone! It is so big! Service was great and we were constantly checked in. I need to go back and taste the menu

Karaoke night + good vibes = a win. Wings were okay, but the bruschetta bites stole the show. Friendly crowd and that perfect local hangout feel.

The food here is always excellent and comes out quickly! The service has been consistent since the new ownership, though in my opinion it could be better. The interior is always clean and has a great ambiance.

The place is under new management and they've added some great new food items (mostly salads, calzones and sandwiches) to the menu. Highly recommend the Ahi Tuna salad and the garlic knots! Great place to go with a family to hang out and play games or a chill date night. Lots of TVs for watching sports.

I am giving Crispy's 3 stars bc of the staff and pizza alone. The Laura was amazing!! Meatballs were def not fresh and the "sauce" is straight up tomato paste. Caprese was good, but not much can go wrong there. We went at an odd time and the place was pretty empty with plenty of seating options. There's no fluff here and very casual, perfect for a quick drink. Love that they do HH on the weekends. The staff were very friendly and fun. Not certain if the pizza was enough for me to come back, but we shall see.

Upon entering, I immediately got the neighborhood sports bar vibe, similar to Cheers. My sister and I walked around the tables for a bit to see where we'd like to sit and ultimately decided to sit at the bar. Unfortunately, I had to switch out my barstool for another because the bottom was falling apart. Additionally, the counter at the bar was quite sticky. We asked the bartender to clean it, which he did, but afterwards, it was still sticky. When I asked if I could borrow the washcloth, he offered to wipe it down again. We ordered drinks and asked about happy hour specials. Ultimately, we decided on a pizza with fig, prosciutto, and arugula. I also ordered the Jose wings, which were absolutely delicious, while my sister ordered another dish, but I can't recall what it was at this time. In conclusion, I'd likely return again to try a different type of pizza and those Jose wings. However, I believe that the barstools need to be replaced; otherwise, everything was fine.

Stumbled onto Crispy's by accident and loved the look and layout of the place. We came back the next day for some food and drinks midday on a Saturday. Place was quiet when we arrived, but definitely ramping up as we left. You can see this is a well established place for both locals and new comers. All the food we had came out well, especially the Laura Pizza. Drinks were on point and service was timely. Only tip I would suggest, keep the music going on a good volume level to keep the atmosphere. Otherwise, well done!!

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

We'd been here before but only once prior to a Michael Jackson event at Painting With A Twist nearby. First, let me say that I made my beer choice on name alone. It ended up being a great sour red though, so I'm not mad at it. Humor goes a long way with me though, so even if it wasn't great I would've dealt with it on name alone: Cherry Busey! We only hung out for a little bit (again, we need to get home for dinner) but it would he very easy to stay for longer. You can see from the photos that they have a ton...and I mean a ton of craft beers. In addition to that, they have a big room with lots of room to kick back. Our night was delayed shortly when my wife decided to take on one of those wooden barrel puzzle. You can see her dismay in the picture of us! We both took a crack at it for a while and never did solve it, but we eventually decided we needed to let it go. You win this time wooden barrel puzzle! One other thing to note is that there's parking behind it. So if you decide to go there, don't be intimidated by what looks like street only parking. Go around behind the place and you'll be all set.

Most who know me know that I am a craft beer aficionado and many (and I mean, MANY) of the craft beers that I've enjoyed are bought from or enjoyed within the confines of Beer:30. I love a great brewery as much as the next person, but as someone who loves to try out new and different beers that are not located in North Florida, the local bottleshops are my usual place to go. Beer:30's staff works incredibly hard to have a wide swath of options for any craft beer drinker. I am someone who enjoys all kinds of different beer, but who usually opts for something on the sour side of the house. Luckily, there's usually something in the fridge or on tap that fits the bill. Not to mention, how many prestigious selections from near opposite sides of the country that they are able to obtain through their distributors. Another great thing about bottleshops is that you can put together a mix-and-match 4-pack or 6-pack to take home with you. You can even get just one or two if you don't necessarily want an entire 6-pack. I will forewarn folks that some of the cans may seem a bit pricy, but it's the unfortunate side of the brew scene as a whole with the cost of aluminum and ingredients consistently going up. Beer:30's ownership changed hands not too long ago, but what I've appreciated in that changeover is the quality events and promotions. There's a silent reading hour every Tuesday, they are starting to host Diana Testa and her Italian Cooking Lessons, different fundraisers for local nonprofits, as well as beer collabs with local breweries. They've been hosting all sorts of cool arts and craft workshops, plant swaps, Beer:30 Day (on the 30th of the month), tap takeovers, and beer pairings (that Sundae Fundae with Left Hand Brewing & Mayday Ice Cream has been my fave so far). As always, Beer:30's anniversary parties are a can't miss! Due to my work schedule, there's been quite a few that I haven't been able to take part in, but I'm so happy to see their success.

It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you'd hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last.
