14" The Rocks Meat Lovers Pizza ... they flew a chef in from Italy to teach everybody how to cook the wood fire pizza oven.

The ambiance, service and food are very good and wonderfully worth the visit. Our waiter was very friendly and polite. Great suggestions and good service.

    Slimy crust.

The pizza dough raw except for the crust edge which was burnt. I bottom crust was so raw and slimy we couldn't eat it. We picked off the toppings and threw the crust away. Very ,very stingy with the sauce. This was my fist and last time eating there. Little Caesar's Pizza is much better and not as expensive. My daughter said the Caprese salad was okay, just looked thrown together. My son in law agreed the pizza crust was nearly raw. YUCK! I'll stick with Larry's Subs.

Authentic di bufala margherita was very boring to my taste. But it's pretty! My friend loves her white pizza and gets it every time. I love all the cheese!

Pizza had an unusual smell for meat lovers, and looked nothing like the image online, taste was not good at all . We actually threw the 14in pizza away after 2 slices, just couldn't make ourselves eat it considering it smelled bad. Wings just lacked flavor, very bland taste threw that away as well. Just wasted 50.00 . No desire to go back. , the staff was friendly maybe because its a shared restaurant with Larrys Giant Sub. I thought it would compare with V's Pizza, but not even close. Possibly comparable to Blaze pizza. Depending what sauce you choose at blaze.

Right next door to Jacksonville Pottery studio- which I've been practically living at, I ran over for a very belated lunch. Famished- I went with what I know and got Larry's Giant Subs (both share the space) the pizzas and other wood fired dishes smelled amazing! I will surely be back to explore more of the menu and the bar!!! I need to pop in after studio time and enjoy a cocktail with dinner. That's the plan. For a mid afternoon, weekday, they had a fair amount of customers- and that's a restaurants slow time!

We discovered this restaurant during the Hill-o-Ween event last month. Very lucky we did. I ordered a couple beers that day, and a large pepperoni pizza. Not sure if it was because we haven't eaten all day, but it was off the chain. We decided to come back on Halloween night and dined in. We ordered the large pepperoni pizza again, cheese curd and the Bushmaster wings. The pizza was good, not as good as last time, but still good. I also liked the cheese curd. The Bushmaster wings were absolutely burnt. Not sure if that's how it was suppose to be, but that was a big nope for me. We love us some Larry's sub and haven't gotten to try that yet. Will be back for sure.

New to the neighborhood in Murray Hill, so thought I would give Fired Up (FU) a chance. Friday night...5 pm....let's go to FU and try them out. First and foremost, great area, seating inside and out. Patio seating with a bar to belly up to. FU is nice and clean with very friendly staff waiting on you with TV's lining up the bar area. 2 places in 1: Larry Giant Subs and Fired Up....with a full liquor bar. The menu is fairly good, with tons of temptations. We ordered the marinara pizza and wings. The marinara pizza had exactly the toppings I was looking for....marinara sauce, fresh garlic, oregano, basil, sea salt, and olive oil. The wings were delish! They were not only cooked well, they had a crispness from the wood fire grill. YUMMY! The pizza, where as the toppings and taste were perfect, the crust left you wanting something more than a wet noodle flopping around. I would definitely ask them to crisp up the crust more. I mean, come on guys, it's a wood fire grill....no excuses here. Even on the reheat in MY oven....still very flimsy and not hard like crusts should be. Good news...they are still new and may firm up their crusts as people share their experiences with them....but they have a nice lunch special and happy hour. Even though it seems to stop when happy hour should begin: Happy Hour is M-F 3p-6p Draft beers and liquor is 1/2 off Apps are 25% off Lunch special M-F 1030a-3p 10 in cheese pizza and a 22 oz drink for 11.00. I'll be back...and hope for better crust, but overall a good time was had by all. ***update review I've been coming here for a couple years now....the food is better, the happy hour rocks, the service is friendly and fast, and that pizza has improved by leaps and bounds! My Friday nights wouldn't be the same without FU!

She was patient and very helpful as well. I ordered a bacon and mushroom pizza. My go to pizza. The places is simple: ovens, slice station, and the prep counter. Exactly what's needed for a pizza place. The mural on the wall listed the 5 boroughs and had the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as the Statue of Liberty. I mean, New York is there. The pizza came out fast and I got back. Here's the thing: Florida is notorious for having lackluster pizza. There's no ways around it. The pizza was cooked perfectly, thin, and a thicker crust. Perfect for folding. The sauce: not too loose and not too thin. Good amount for pizza, regardless of location. Flavor wise, not bad. Cheese and toppings had the right amount so it could incorporate into every bite. Now going back to my statement on Florida pizza. It's better than other Floridian pizzas I've had. It scratched the itch and I definitely enjoyed it. They'll get my business when I come back to Jacksonville!

The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.

On May 16, my order was incorrect, so I called the restaurant and spoke with Sydney. She apologized for the mistake and explained that she had spoken with management. She assured me that a replacement pizza would be noted on my account and that it would be covered the next time I ordered because of the error. When I called today to redeem that replacement, I asked to speak with Sydney, but she wasn't working. Instead, I spoke with the owner, who told me that all order adjustments or issues have to go through him. While he explained how their system works and why he couldn't find the credit, he never offered to make the situation right, despite the previous commitment that had been made to me. What was most disappointing wasn't that there was confusion about the record--it was the lack of customer service. Had someone simply acknowledged the previous mistake and honored what I had been told, this could have been resolved quickly. Instead, I was left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, when a business promises to correct an error, customers should be able to trust that promise will be honored. This is not the first time my order has been incorrect at this location, and unfortunately, this experience has made me question whether I'll return in the future.
