This was a strange place. Me and my boyfriend love trying out pizza places and we were excited for this one. When we walked in, it took a few minutes for someone to notice us and tell us we could take a seat. It's confusing as half the place is pizza and half is Larry's giant subs. They also have a large bar. The vibes are casual, but maybe a little too casual. It's very loud and clear that many of the patrons were very drunk which was not the vibe we were going for or expecting. It took quite a while for us to sit and be helped since the place seemed disorganized. However once our orders were taken the food did come out fast. For the food, it's a bit overpriced. We both really liked the pizza and felt like that was worth it. However the corn nuggets (pictured) were $11 when they were very clearly frozen and deep fried. We have been here many times but usually get a sandwich. Today we got pizza and it was great. Ordered the toasted ravioli and a Meat Lovers Pizza. Our server Chloe, was wonderful. The only suggestion I have is for the bottom crust to be crispier. I guess it's hard to do that when it's so thin. But the taste was great! Will be back. The pizza dough raw except for the crust edge which was burnt. I bottom crust was so raw and slimy we couldn't eat it. We picked off the toppings and threw the crust away. Very ,very stingy with the sauce. This was my fist and last time eating there. Little Caesar's Pizza is much better and not as expensive. Don't let the name or the space shared with a Larry's Subs fool you - the pizza here is outstanding. It can be on the pricy side, with a 14-inch pie running in the neighborhood of $25, give or take a few depending on which you're ordering. But it's super worth it - great thin crust, with outstanding cheese, sauce, and toppings. One large is easily enough for two people to share. Also, do not miss out on the Bushmaster wings - a little spicy, a little sweet, perfectly crispy. We mostly do takeout or DoorDash, but they've got a ton of screens inside the seating area so it's a great place to watch some sports while eating. There was no extra cheese or parm...only something that looked like a light sprinkling of shredded cheddar. Cheddar cheese does not belong on Italian style NYC crust pizza. We actually threw the 14in pizza away after 2 slices, just couldn't make ourselves eat it considering it smelled bad. Wings just lacked flavor, very bland taste threw that away as well. Right next door to Jacksonville Pottery studio- which I've been practically living at, I ran over for a very belated lunch. Famished- I went with what I know and got Larry's Giant Subs (both share the space) the pizzas and other wood fired dishes smelled amazing! I will surely be back to explore more of the menu and the bar!!! I need to pop in after studio time and enjoy a cocktail with dinner. That's the plan. Ordered a pizza with "light sauce" and went inside to pick up. Bartender asked "whatsup" instead of greeting us like a normal employee. We discovered this restaurant during the Hill-o-Ween event last month. Very lucky we did. I ordered a couple beers that day, and a large pepperoni pizza. Not sure if it was because we haven't eaten all day, but it was off the chain. We decided to come back on Halloween night and dined in. We ordered the large pepperoni pizza again, cheese curd and the Bushmaster wings. The pizza was good, not as good as last time, but still good. I also liked the cheese curd. New to the neighborhood in Murray Hill, so thought I would give Fired Up (FU) a chance. Friday night...5 pm....let's go to FU and try them out. First and foremost, great area, seating inside and out. Patio seating with a bar to belly up to. FU is nice and clean with very friendly staff waiting on you with TV's lining up the bar area. 2 places in 1: Larry Giant Subs and Fired Up....with a full liquor bar. The menu is fairly good, with tons of temptations. We ordered the marinara pizza and wings. The marinara pizza had exactly the toppings I was looking for....marinara sauce, fresh garlic, oregano, basil, sea salt, and olive oil. The wings were delish! They were not only cooked well, they had a crispness from the wood fire grill. YUMMY! The pizza, where as the toppings and taste were perfect, the crust left you wanting something more than a wet noodle flopping around. I would definitely ask them to crisp up the crust more. I mean, come on guys, it's a wood fire grill....no excuses here. Even on the reheat in MY oven....still very flimsy and not hard like crusts should be. Good news...they are still new and may firm up their crusts as people share their experiences with them....but they have a nice lunch special and happy hour. Even though it seems to stop when happy hour should begin: Happy Hour is M-F 3p-6p Draft beers and liquor is 1/2 off Apps are 25% off Lunch special M-F 1030a-3p 10 in cheese pizza and a 22 oz drink for 11.00. We were in Murray Hill picking up our pottery from Jacksonville Pottery Studio (another place I'd recommend!) and decided to stop in as I've been really curious ever since I heard about a Larry's with a pizza restaurant in it. I thought it was going to be two separate restaurants sharing a space, but it's actually all owned by the same people responsible for Larry's! Just like Larry's bread is from NY, the pizza dough is made with NY water so it tastes more authentic! I actually don't really like NY pizza, it's too thin and "floppy" and greasy a lot of the time, but Fired Up pizza was really good and while it still had some "flop" to it, it was much more sturdy! Lol We sat at the bar and from there you can see the pizza cooking in the pizza oven. We saw some wings comes out too that looked realllyyy good! Service at the bar was good! They were nice and told us sort of the history of the Larry's people deciding to start a pizza restaurant. Food came out quickly too! I've been here a couple of times now and I am pleased with the food and the customer service. The staff is really exceptional. I can also appreciate that there's outside seating or NOT a ton of children running around. The staff is attentive, very upbeat, friendly and helpful when you don't know exactly what you really want from the menu. The first time even YOU will be confused...give me a second. :) My first time, I ordered from the Larry's Giant Subs menu: Chicago's Own Italian Beef which consisted of all natural USDA choice roast beef, melted provolone and hot giardiniera peppers with a side of au jus as was recommended by an avid regular who was behind me in line. I ordered the 12" ($10.19) knowing I would probably take the other half home. I asked for fresh veggies on top and added some of their marinated olive salad mixture just to kick it up a notch. This is a filling and hardy sandwich and if you don't like spicy, ask them to hold the giardiniera. If you really want this over the top, I recommend asking for some of their balsamic glaze to balance it all out. Trust me. It's GOOD! This is definitely a family-friendly spot with kid-friendly menus that also welcomes the happy-hour drinkers during the weekdays with your typical half off drink specials and 25% off all of their appetizers with handcrafted beverages, high-top bars, multiple televisions and plenty of space. They have something for everyone on the menu so whether you're in the mood for just appetizers or their signature wood fired pizzas, subs and sandwiches, chicken wings, French fry combinations, just desserts, or you're just there to get your drink on [they have beer, wine & liquor], they pretty much cover most of the bases sans seafood, steaks and burgers. Honestly, I really enjoyed their wood fired pizzas. I initially came skeptical, but left convinced with having tried both their Bianca "Off-White" PIzza and their regular 10" Cheese Pizza. Both were thin crust, simple yet flavorful. I didn't leave feeling overstuffed with a pound of bread on my butt like other places where you are left with a pile of pizza bones on your plate. This last trip, I had the great pleasure to meet up with fellow Yelper, Naomi B. whom I haven't seen in ages and we got a chance to taste the tiramisu they offer here. And while it was very tasty and a perfect way to finish off your meal, it does need a minute to defrost to really enjoy. Fantastic! The bartender was awesome. She got our orders quickly and took great care of us. She was very good about my order being good for my diet. I had the Wedge Salad which was huge but I had brought my own dressing. What a huge meal and probably even better with the blue cheese and crumbles. I ate the entire thing and watched football on multiple screens. The staff was having some fun stacking boxes which became a real show and no damage, no fumble, just fun to watch. My friend really liked his pizza as well but I can't speak to it. The back up bartender/barback was also great. I think this place is awesome. And want to come back to watch NFL. They look like they really have their TVs organized well for that. And each TV is labeled so you can tell where you need to sit to better see you team. Love that. We really enjoy stopping at fired up pizza on our way back to Jacksonville from trips to the panhandle or GA! The margherita pizza is amazing. Super thin crust, a sweet authentic San marzano tomato sauce, and a crispy crust. Recently we tried their fries and they remind me of boardwalk fries from the northeast - they were so good and came out hot/fresh! We also had the Italiano panini which was packed with Italian deli meats and mozzerella cheese, but the drizzle of balsamic really made it. It's located in the same building as Larry's Subs. We've only ever done take out but there's tables both inside and out to enjoy your food from either business. We'll be back again when we're back on that side of town! read more

Maybe this place just isn't my slice of pie! I appreciate the true Italian style pizza and honestly in my book, no pizza is "bad" I love pizza! All styles all types! Walking in it's confusing where to go, what to do...we found the counter where you order then they bring your food out to you. When the food came, the pizza reminded me of V's pizza, thin wood fired crust, which is expected because they also have one of those fancy Italian ovens here...but idk it just wasn't that good!? I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited to write this review and welcome FU Fired Up Pizza to the Murray Hill neighborhood! I met up with one of my favorite Elite Yeeps, Leah H. to catch up over dinner, since it's been what seems like ages. I'm loving the modern design, the full bar and fun concept of FU, with my favorite decorative items being the life size Deadpool statues by the drink station. The menu board on the wall is ginormous and there's a lot to take in, but the staff were very patient, informative, and accommodating, answering all questions without a hitch. I'm a white pizza fan through and through and I didn't hesitate to order the "15" Bianca, drizzled with pesto and balsamic. Shyitttttt, Leah H. And I tore this pizza UP. Not too much garlic, and the drizzle of sauces alone will have you reaching for another slice....then another. She ordered the "10" cheese pizza with red sauce and yeah, you'd think we were a couple of Kevin McCallisters from Home Alone the way we were excited over this pizza. Not too much cheese, not heavy handed with the sauce...just right. When we were through, there were just a couple slices left, yet we didn't leave feeling like a couple of heifers out in the pasture because the crust wasn't overly thick. That's what I love about thin crust pizza. Neither pie was greasy, in my opinion, they were both just right. NOW........ive read the reviews and saw that some were dissatisfied with the crust, it was like a wet noodle, wasn't crispy enough, etc. I didn't mind that our crusts weren't crispy from beginning to end. It definitely wasn't a "wet noodle" experience, however, if I wanted a pizza that felt like it was on a Triscuit cracker, I'd go to the store and buy a Totino's. That's how I feel. Oh I'll be back.
