1 Drumstick Solo with Crisp BBQ Spicy
    Michael R.

I absolutely love pizza by the slice spots but how about chicken by the piece? Even better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A cook casual diner located in the heart of Lincoln Square. It's small inside but fits the idea of just a place to get a bite with quick and easy counter service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got two drumsticks. One with their famous Soul Sassy sauce and the other dredged in their spicy BBQ. I'll be honest, their sauces didn't wow me but the quality and crispness of the chicken did. And that's what counts. PERFECT CRISPINESS (so what a fitting name.) the crispiness was a 10/10 but the chicken wasn't greasy at all which made it even better. Yep Crisp is on my radar now.

They claim to have the best fried chicken in Chicago. Yes, it's worth the hype! We walked over after a show at the Vic Theater (about 10min walk) for dinner this weekend. Wow! So good and so much food. The bowls and chicken breast sandwiches are huge. My wife and I both had the Bad Boy Buddha bowl and added beef. So good and can't wait to have a second dinner with all the leftovers. Our daughter had a single chicken breast sandwiches and could barely eat half of it. Good and BIG! Our son loved his Chi-Town chicken bowl. We didn't need chicken legs, but of course we had to try some. We also added an order of 5 drumsticks with a mix of their sassy and BBQ sauces. Seriously good fried chicken! We'll definitely come back in future trips into the city.

I can confidently say these were the BEST chicken wings I've ever had in my life!!!!! I got the sassy and the bbq flavors. A 10 piece contained 10 entire wings!! Kimchi was also delicious and a huge portion size. The service was super friendly and fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is small but we had no problem getting seating on a Thursday afternoon for lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] $38 for the wings, kimchi, & 2 drinks with tip!

One of my favorite places for Korean chicken wings. Sadly they don't deliver where i live but always a good excuse for a bike ride to get some take out. Definitely get the sassy sauce and bone in large Korean chicken wings. Great service and amazing staff.

    Half buffalo half plain

I came here years ago and decided to come back to give them another try cause my friend would not stop talking about them. We did 3 chicken wings, half chicken with buffalo sauce, and half chicken just plain. I thought the plain chicken was overcooked/dry. I usually like to judge a place on the juiciness of the chicken after it is fried because the sauce is just tossed in after the chicken is fully cooked. I thought the chicken wings sauce was too sweet. The buffalo sauce smelled really good before we tried it then I got really disappointed. It wasn't spicy at all and it smelled way better than it tasted. Overall, I don't think this place has improved since my first visit and I don't think I will come back. I think their sauces are just on the sweeter side and I'm personally not a huge fan of it.

Always great fried chicken and a staple of the neighborhood. If you're debating whether you should stop by, don't. Just go in.

Used to live around the are on the 2018, love to come to thisnplace to have the best korean fried chicken and kimchi. Was there few days ago to remember nostalgia, and things are the same or even better than before, and I love to see that this place is still alive! The chicken drums here it is fantastic and huge, the kimchi it is a big portion and filling. I will recommend this place infinite times, please don't miss out this place if you are around boystown or lakeview.

Crisp is a staple, good prices, good food, and great spot to take visitors for a quick meal! Loved the Seoul sassy sauce and boneless wings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Can get pretty crowded but always able to find a spot to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is very friendly

[[HIGHLIGHT]]BYOB! Cozy restaurant with communal tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very busy on a Friday night at 7:30pm but I was still able to find seats for two.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There seemed to be a lot of to-go orders. Food came out fast and the customer service was friendly and quick. Definitely took advantage of their BYOB to have my chicken with beer! I thought the half chicken was the best deal for $11.99. I got a lot of chicken. The BBQ spicy was spicy but still sweet and delicious. My friend got the crispy chicken bowl. That was even more food. Both of these meals could have been shared.

Crisp is my favorite place for fried chicken in Chicago! As the name suggests, their fry is just right! I've tried many establishments throughout the city for that crunch, that crisp, and juicy chicken. I've tried both their wings and jumbo drumsticks. DEFINITELY GET THE DRUMSTICKS. Crisp definitely delivers. I will always pay a visit when in the area. Pro tip, order the original with sauce on the side. You can even go without sauce in your order, as the communal tables already provides free gochujjang and ketchup.

Tendies, wings, and sandos are all good. Low key some of the best fries in Chicago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun place to eat at, and the service is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wings and tendies are huge so be careful not to over order.

I've heard a lot of good things about this neighborhood icon but today was my first time trying it. I have no idea where they get their chickens, but they are so fresh and bursting with flavor. The jumbo wings are huge and cooked to crispy perfection. We ate in and enjoyed trying the different varieties of sauce. The bowls also looked so tasty. This is a high energy place and the buzz is all good. There is limited communal seating and we were lucky enough to snag a seat at the window.

These wings live up to the name. Super crispy. Huge wings. Fast service. The restaurant was full as we got out food within 7min. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun loud music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Picnic family style tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Then I saw the KBBQ menu and all bets were off. I immediately pivoted and ordered the chef's tasting set, the Diweji, featuring pork jowl, pork collar, and pork belly, complete with an assortment of banchan. Zero regrets. And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

We ordered a seafood soup, seafood pancake, and a salmon crunch roll. We quickly realized that this was an atypical Korean restaurant experience as we did not receive banchan and there were not many traditional options on the menu. I think that should've been our cue to go, but we stayed and were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask multiple times when it was coming, and when the food finally came out, it was underseasoned and the texture was very off. The seafood pancake tasted deep fried and had chunks of imitation crab. It had the texture of an unrisen focaccia. The soup was tasteless, and the salmon roll was drenched in mayo and eel sauce. They also gave us a "special" hot sauce that tasted like just a mix of sriracha and Tabasco. Small highlights: the ambiance was nice; it seemed clean. Waiter was nice enough. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was quite a shocking meal.

Strike 1: We had an 8:00PM reservation for six, checked in at 7:50, and weren't seated until 8:20--despite plenty of open tables. Then we waited another 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Strike 2: We understood service might be slower with a large party nearby, but nonexistent is more accurate. Our server was taking shots with that table while we waited 20+ minutes for water. At the end of the meal, the same server had the nerve to ask us for a positive review in exchange for free meat. Suddenly, the good reviews for this place make a lot more sense. Strike 3: Management was somehow even worse. I asked to speak with a manager and had two different people come over claiming to be one. One was the second server taking shots with the large party--and was visibly intoxicated and slurring his words while handling a table with scissors and open flames. You can go with a friend or bring a book to read. Either way you're in for a treat.

They have pictures on their menu which I also enjoy. I've had the chicken wings (sweet n spicy), their kimchi fries, their bibimbop, bulgogi bap (favorite!!!), burger, kimchi fried rice (fav), japchae noodles, Soondooboo (another big fav), and Yukejang (favorite soup in the winter time, the beef is so soft) their Seafood Pajeon is also delicious- recommend eating there though cause its crispy, along with the fries and chicken wings. And lastly the Hotteoks are a nice sweet n savory dessert. Favorite place in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious; my standouts were definitely the handrolls and the burger, but truly everything we tried was so tasty. Such a great spot for tasty food, music, and a fun night out. Would absolutely recommend!

The space has such a fun, modern interior with records and other music decor lining the small space! Perfect spot for a date or small group. A live DJ was spinning various records during our visit, which I thought would be too loud, but was the perfect backdrop for our great dinner conversation. Staff were friendly, and didn't hang around too much, which was nice! The cocktails and food were the real deal! I had the Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail, which I thought would be SUPER sweet, but it was balanced and refined in the best way. Lovely take on a tropical cocktail. We shared the Korean Chicken Sandwich, the Burger, and the Bing Bread. Every single bite was delicious: fun take on a pizza with the Bing Bread, a fresh and light take on a Korean Chicken sandwich, and a deliciously savory burger with all my favorite toppings! The servings were perfect to share, so I'd grab a close friend, order up some drinks and plates, and just take in the chill vibe! So glad we stopped!

Del Seoul - Chicago Sometimes the best food finds happen…read morewhen you're simply walking by and your nose says, "Wait a minute... what's cooking in there?" That's exactly how we ended up at Del Seoul! We were walking by, saw the food, smelled all that goodness, and knew we had to stop. Even one of the diners told us the food was good and that we would enjoy it. That was all the confirmation we needed! Del Seoul is a quaint little spot with a dining area that isn't very large, along with additional seating on the side. When you enter, you place your order at the counter. One thing to know if you're dining with a group: everyone in your party must be present when ordering. We had a group of four, and they prepared a table for us. Ordering was easy, and Reilly was very friendly and helpful, which made our first visit even better. We started with the Kimchi Fries for the table. I didn't really taste much of the kimchi flavor, but the fries were still good. We also grabbed a bottle of Mango Soju to share. It wasn't overly sweet, and we decided shots were the way to go. Cheers! For my meal, I ordered the Bulgogi Bento Box, which came with grilled, thinly sliced flatiron steak with sautéed onions, an egg and scallion omelette, mixed greens with ginger vinaigrette, and steamed rice. The bulgogi was the star for me. The steak was tender, flavorful, and very tasty, and everything in the bento box worked well together. Definitely a satisfying meal! What started as a simple walk-by turned into a delicious Chicago food stop. If you're a Chicago native or visiting the city like I am, give Del Seoul a try. Sometimes you just have to follow the aroma! Five stars from me!

Service was great. They explained where everything was. 8/10. The tacos were good, but nothing really stood out. 7/10. They were a little too heavy on the slaw and mayo for my taste. The Sesame-Chili Shrimp Taco was my favorite. The shrimp stayed crispy and had the best flavor. The Sambal Fish Taco was a little soggy, while the Kalbi, BBQ Pork, and BBQ Chicken were all on the drier side. I honestly still prefer traditional Mexican tacos over these. The K-Town Chicken Wings (7.5/10) were my favorite item. They weren't breaded, but the sweet soy, chili, and garlic glaze was delicious. The skin had a nice firm bite, which I really liked.
