I brought in my pink dress that had mud stains all along the bottom and up into the midsection (which is easily washable but I wanted it professionally cleaned). They told me my dress was ready to be picked up the next day. When I went to pick it up, all of the mud stains were still there as if they didn't even look to see if the dress was dirty. I asked them to redo it, and I came back for my dress about 3-4 times and each time they still did not remove all of the stains. Every time I had to request for them to redo it, I pointed to the stains and showed several different employees. They charged me $22 for a dress that I doubt they even tried washing. I had a wrap - basically a sweater-sized shawl - cleaned. Crest did a fabulous job of cleaning it, but charged me for cleaning a king sized comforter. Outrageous! If you use this business you need to double and triple check the price of every piece you leave with them. While I appreciate the quality of service and friendliness of the staff, the over-charging is not okay. It is a shame you need to monitor a neighborhood business so closely. If a more thoughtful and ethical business opened up close by I would certainly give them a try. read more

What a terrible experience meeting Crest's Union Mill manager today! Last year, I literary took my whole business wardrobe to the Crest, as I had a long study break and stopped using my suits and jackets for a while. Only last month, I started to wear them to meetings and found out at least one had a big gash on the back, probably a burn mark or may be caught in between Crest automatic hangers. I wrote to them about the issue but never heard back. So I took the suit to the shop today. The guy at the counter asked for his manager. So the elderly gentleman came in, and before I could complete my sentence, he said, "I don't like lying customers". I was absolutely shocked!!! I have never experienced such rude customer service in my life. Then he accused me of lying about the exact date I used their services (I had the receipt), but he never looked at it and said I could do whatever I wanted now. While I am going to pursue this issue with them, I am deeply saddened to see in this day and age we have such people with horrible customer service in these relatively large stores. I truly hope for a resolution and improvement in this matter. read more

I will admit right away that it was my fault for not asking for a price list or a quote before I dropped off my cleaning. I do not get clothing dry-cleaned very often, maybe once a year. I gave them 7 women's sleeveless blouses, 1 dress, and a scarf to clean. They were ready the next day and when I picked them up I almost fainted. $71 for nine pieces?? I never expected it to be so high. I have tried calling twice to speak to a manager and have been told twice that there is no one there for me to speak with. Lesson learned, I will seek out a less-expensive, more up-front dry cleaner to use. I am very disappointed. read more

This was my first and last visit to a Crest cleaners. Firstly, I drop off 8 items on Saturday morning at 830am. The ticket clearly states that they will be ready for pick up at 5pm. Just as Crest advertises and prides themselves on same day service. That was not the case. I received no notification that the items would not be ready in time. I come back every day, still they are not completed. I return on a Monday morning to find that not all my items are done and to check back later that day. When I return at 530pm that same day, only 7 items are complete.  In addition to this, the staff was incredibly unhelpful and had attitudes when I addressed this concern with them. Also, they completely ruined a bomber jacket and left stains all over it!!! The staff had no willingness to help nor were apologetic. I did not realize I needed to take photos of the conditions of my clothes prior to dropping them off. However, I took pictures of the jacket the way it was returned to me. The final item was never cleaned and I had to ask multiple times to get it back as I was going to take to a different cleaner after this whole mess. Crest does provide excellent service nor same day service but definitely charges you for it. Do not use!!! read more

Great place and they deliver to my door. They are currently running a special where they take a percentage off for having the clothes delivered and having a delivery relationship for a year. I'm consistently happy with their work and my clothes are always clean, fresh, and ready to wear. I get a lot of time savings by not having to go to the store to drop it off and pick it up but also I have a time-saving for not having to launder shirt and having the iron then all. read more

Crest Cleaners lost a $300 Burberry long-sleeve shirt. The person in-taking the shirt said, "I'll take care of it" and put the shirt onto my account. She did not give me a receipt. While they have record of the intake, they have no record of cleaning the shirt and now have no idea where it is. They said perhaps they gave it to another customer. I spent a couple of hours on the phone and going into the store to resolve this issue. Crest Cleaners is only willing to reimburse 30% of the value. Unfortunately, Burberry still charges $300 for said shirt, so I must pay $200 plus tax to replace the shirt for what is their mistake. Because this is an extremely unsatisfactory response, I will never use this place ever again. Be forewarned, they are not very careful during the intake process. read more

Never try this place. My husband have a Burberry trench coat($1800)for dry wash and they ruined it. They burned one of the epaulets and lost the other one. Also lost one button. When we try to solve it next day(since we pick my staff right before their closed hours the first day I can only come the next day), the manager aggressively states that the epaulets are burned and lost before I get it washed. I have to call the crops to do the mediation. Since the system gives it one start, for my experience I will not give any starts. read more

This place charged twice what I paid at WESTFIELD DRY CLEANERS with not even half the quality! I only went to CREST because I moved to the area and was hoping to save a trip to Sully Station. This service is fantastic. After an hour commute each way to work & other errands during the weekend, I'm glad I can take dry cleaning off my list. I get txt messages twice a week for pickups & a detailed statement with shirt color & brand after each service. After an injury I was happy to know they also pick up & deliver regular wash & fold laundry. Expensive, yes, but a lot of time & effort saved. Horrible place. I went a few times before I noticed that the buttons on the shirts I was getting cleaned here were all starting to fall off. I started looking closer at the shirts and noticed that this was true of every single shirt I brought in. Would NOT recommend this place. As I went in to pick up the last load I will ever be giving them, I saw the reason for this too. When they iron the shirt, they go through the buttons instead of going around it. We usually go to Centreville Cleaners to drop off our clothes and were sad to discover they had gone out of business. So we ventured over to Crest to see how much they charge...$14 for a suit! We only paid $9 at Centreville Cleaners so we're talking over a 50% increase in price for us. We may just try the "Organic" cleaners over by Trader Joe's, they only charge $10 for each suit. read more

We have been using this Crest mainly because I'm too lazy to iron my own shirts, but unless I find a place that does a better job, I may have to go back to doing just that. I've never been real happy with the quality of their pressing - too many creases where there shouldn't be any. On the collars, on the buttonholes, sleeves are lately a disaster. Busted up buttons were a problem until we complained, stains that they couldn't take care of, Mostly,their "mea culpa" consists of giving you coupons for further business. Not happy with the latest crease problem they took three times to fix. (I suggested they use a steam iron). All this being said, the staff is always pleasant, but that doesn't make up for the poor product. read more

They did a fairly nice job of cleaning, but I got turned off by the home pickup and delivery service. They missed my pickup three times and, each time I was told that I was wrong and that the delivery driver had come by. There was no evidence on my front door camera. The hassle of trying to pay for convenience and then not being able to rely on it is not worth it. I am switching dry cleaners. read more

I'm sorry to say that if I could give zero stars I would. My family and I have been going to Crest Cleaners Clifton for well over a decade. We have come to know the employees and have appreciated their quick, quality service. Unfortunately, my last few business exchanges have been less than satisfactory. From the initial drop off with employees miscounting pieces of clothing, receiving "cleaned" clothing back looking worse than when they had been dropped off, and pieces having gone missing all together. The first occurrence I received a dress back with a popped seam. The following weekend I brought the dress back, still on the hanger, with my weekly dry cleaning. I was told that because I took the dress out of the store they were not responsible for the torn seam. The following week my pickup was missing a shirt and another shirt was found with seams popped, wrinkled and damaged. (See picture.) Hate this place. Had a huge chicken noodle soup stain on my khaki pants. It looked a little faded when I brought it in since it was all dried up. When I went back to pick it up, the stain was still there...when I showed them, the woman said she didn't know the pants were in for stain removal...sooooo they said they'll clean it again. We've been going to Crest Cleaners for years. Recently, they forgot to spot clean an ink stain on a brand new dress shirt and as a result they locked in a stain that I could have gotten out myself if I washed it at home. Ironically, I brought it to them as I thought they would do a better job. I asked them for help for reimbursing me (maybe a partial credit) as I only wore the shirt once but they would not take responsibility for the damage. They did offer to return the $3.00 for the cleaning of the shirt. I've put up for paying twice as much as any other local dry cleaner based on the location but after 15 years as a good customer I've become disenchanted with their customer service. We do the delivery service. They're nice and on a schedule, so I always know when they're coming, within the hour. The only problems we've had are starching when we asked for them not to, and a seriously shrunk winter coat (maybe they washed it instead of dry cleaned it like I asked?). I have used Crest for several years and find the people who work there to be very professional and courteous. I use home delivery and that helps me very much with my workload at home. I also chose to use them because they are "green" and do not use perc in their cleaning process. The EPA has deemed perc as a potential carcinogen. I certainly don't need perc in my clothing. They have very honest employees because they once called me and told me they found some money in my husband's pants. Well,,,, I was thinking maybe $5.00 in my husband's pocket. It was $200.00.
