The hem sat 2 inches past my shoes and dragged on the floor. I was unable to walk without tripping. The seamstress refused to fix the length of the hem unless I agreed with her that I had "changed my mind and said I was sorry." I've never been treated so rudely by a business. Mai and her husband keep the place nice and neat. 3. Service: Mai, her husband, Loc, and the entire team always go above and beyond to make sure your clothes are evenly pressed, clean, and well maintained. They have been in business for a very long time, and are extremely knowledgeable and kind. In addition to dry cleaning, Mai tailors clothes very well. She had hemmed many of my work pants and jeans. Furthermore, Mai and her husband are amazing at spot checking for stains and ensuring the removal of it. 4. Costs: The price is reasonable and subject to change based on the category of the clothes. I specifically explained this a re-clean because they didn't clean it effectively the first time. Upon picking up the jacket the second time, the same smell exists and is easily detected by waving the jacket around. The staff claim they can't smell any body odor. I was absolutely appalled 1) that they claimed they couldn't smell it and 2) they refused to return the paid amount $8.50. Why would I bother to give them a third chance to 'clean' it again. I explained I have been coming here for a number of years (mostly laundry not dry-cleaning) and asked why they are they lying, not providing a cleaned product, and do they not care about retaining customers. The owner said, 'We don't need your business.' Well there you have it folks, consider finding a dry cleaner that actually needs customers instead of taking money for continued failed service. Now I know why they make you prepay for all their services. No ones works the hours they say they are opened. The store sign says that they close at 6:30 pm and I was told to come after 5pm or my clothes would not be ready. However, I show up at 5:45pm and wait for 25 minutes because I need my clothes for work the next day. No one ever shows. About 5 customers show up and walk away. Lights are out and no one to be found. Dry cleaning is supposed to have a quick turn around so I can have clothes for work. This is why this business will fail. Thanks for making me wear the same close to work 2 days in a row and look like an asshole. And I still have to come back tomorrow and get my cloths from this place. She greets me by name, brings my clothes to my car with me when I have a lot to pick up (which is often), and happily let me pay the next time I came in after forgetting my wallet one day! She even whipped out her pliers and fixed my necklace that became stuck on my dress I was wearing when I came in for a pick-up! Even when I don't notice a spot on one of my items, she will find it and do her best to get it out. I've also relied on her for a number of alterations. She has a great eye and knows what will work best. When her seamstress (Maria herself was out at that moment) pinned a jumpsuit of mine that came out too short, she let the hem out for me at no charge. She also repaired a zipper pull that just snapped off a favorite dress after a few years of wear. I tend to go long stretches between picking up my items, but in the rare event that I do need everything ready next-day, there's no extra charge. My clothes always come back in good shape and I will keep going to G&W while I live in the area.
