We have brought clothes and other items to be laundered and dry cleaned. Almost every time I come, this employee 'Esmerelda' rejects some piece of clothing. She has rejected dresses, pants, shirts. Sometimes giving reasons, sometime correcting me about the clothes, or the stain and sometimes just saying they won't clean an item. We have even resorted to washing the shirts before laundering them at this place because of her comments. Today was the last straw, I brought in a Zara dress my wife wore once. Esmeralda rejected "it because the tag doesn't say how to clean it. I pointed out the several tags and QR code from Zara that gave information about how to clean the garment. She refused to take the garment. Because this person has been a problem with me I asked my wife to come out of the car to talk to her and I called the owner. While the owner agreed that that type of garment could be problematic, he agreed that her response wasn't the way to keep customers. I agree they lost our family's business today. While I appreciate the owner taking the call, I am going to choose to not patronize this franchise. We took our other clothes back and will take our business elsewhere while she is still there. I return a dry-cleaned suit jacket because the arm pits still smelled after Fair Center Cleaners' initial service. I specifically explained this a re-clean because they didn't clean it effectively the first time. Upon picking up the jacket the second time, the same smell exists and is easily detected by waving the jacket around. The staff claim they can't smell any body odor. I was absolutely appalled 1) that they claimed they couldn't smell it and 2) they refused to return the paid amount $8.50. Why would I bother to give them a third chance to 'clean' it again. I explained I have been coming here for a number of years (mostly laundry not dry-cleaning) and asked why they are they lying, not providing a cleaned product, and do they not care about retaining customers. The owner said, 'We don't need your business.' Well there you have it folks, consider finding a dry cleaner that actually needs customers instead of taking money for continued failed service. The anarkali is immaculate so that I can wear it for future occasions, and my gown is neatly preserved in the provided "Bridal Chest" box. For gown preservation, the staff will begin work on the gown (I had a veil as well), then contact you to assess how it looks before packaging for preservation. My gown was rumpled in the back of my car for nearly a year before I made the time to find a preservation service and take it in, so I have a lot of faith and confidence that the staff here can make miracles happen, especially if you are more timely than I was. I will definitely use Mclean cleaners again for specialty cleaning.
