We both ordered oat milk lattes which were beautifully served at the perfect temperature. The waitstaff was excellent as always. The only fly in the otherwise perfect soup, was the maître d who rudely shooed us from our table. At about 11:20, he told us that he had allowed us to stay for nearly three hours when really, two hours was the standard time a table could reasonably be held for any guests. In our rush to not cause anyone any trouble, we gathered our things and prepared to leave. It was then that I looked at my watch and realized that we hadn't even been there for two hours! In fact, I had time to leave Verdun, drive to Mile-End, do my grocery shopping and get home before my 3-hour meter even expired.
