    Outside of restaurant

Family run restaurant. Charming interior. Food was excellent, tasted like homemade. We had the fillet of sole and schnitzel. Would definitely go there again

The service and attention to detail is amazing, the food is not only great it feels healthy and very well done with a lot of care

Vacationing with my boyfriend in the area and stopped here for breakfast one morning, the food was great we actually ate everything on our plates. Such an awesome little hidden gem, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is very european and interesting. The entire menu was in French (my boyfriend and I only speak English) but that didn't stop us from figuring it out. We could tell that everything was fresh and made to order because we could hear the cook who was also our waiter cutting and chopping away in the kitchen preparing our meals. It was honestly so good that we actually wanted to go back the next morning, but unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place, go check it out!

This is a literal hidden gem that is surrounded by residential area. I only been there for brunch, but I can tell they put all their heart in their food, every ingredient might be simple, but all cooked right with just the right seasoning.

Here's the insider scoop: Schnitzel: Perfectly crisp, gold-fried, and so tender I may or may not have audibly moaned mid-bite.

What a relief it is to finally have a great independent coffee shop/café so close to home. This delightful new addition to the South Shore opened about a year ago and has already become one of our favourites. Being a small family-run business, we were welcomed with so much warmth and hospitality that we did not want to leave. Inside it is warm and cozy with mismatched tables and chairs, coffee-shop blackboards and charming decor, great for getting some work done or catching up with family and friends. We ordered a chicken panini, mocha and cappuccino. The chicken panini was one of the best I have ever had - a generous size full of flavour and fresh ingredients, served alongside house potatoes - delicious! The owner himself prepares all the meals and from the big smile on his face, it is obvious to see he does so with so much love and passion. Being an Italian coffee shop, it is no doubt that the drinks were also spot-on - I just wish the cups were larger as for the price, they were a little on the small side. Seeing the rest of the menu and the talent of the owner & chef, we have already decided to return again for lunch/dinner. For fresh homemade food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional hospitality - Café Lazio is the place!

Let me preface by sharing you enter in the dining room and just behind a glass partition are three senior aged ladies working the phone lines taking orders like it was a busy call center. We ordered a Como special large sub and a half anchovy pepperoni pizza, half Como all dressed. The pizza really blew me away. Fluffy soft and crispy dough with some burnt cheese taste on the edges. It was also had slightly sweet flavour which was mildly discernible. Loaded with toppings. Overall one of the best pizza's I've had in the MTL area. The sub was a solid 7.5 out of 10 loaded and with fresh salads and Italian dressing but the pizza was amazing. Pizza was so good I had to order and other to take home. When I arrived home the wife and daughter tried it also and commented how delicious It was. Service was impeccable and we asked our server and she said this was the original location since 1967.they have 15 delivery cars here and the other location has another 15 delivery cars. Come judge for yourself. Wow!

We wanted to try the Tomahawk but it wasn't on the menu so we decided to do steak on another day. To drink we ordered the apple cider. The cider was delicious and very crispy like I was eating a Cortland apple. We were served crispy bread with herb butter. The bread was crispy like toast and the butter was soft. It came with a small jar of baby dill pickles. They had a good crunch! We started with the lobster bisque. This bisque was very tasty. We could taste the lobster and it was very light; not a heavy or overly creamy soup. Pooh ordered the seafood risotto and I took the Dijon chicken. Both dishes were amazing. Pooh really enjoyed his risotto. He likes the addition of zucchini to give it a little crunch . The seafood was cooked to perfection. My chicken was super tender. I could taste the Dijon mustard. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the green beans were crispy and cooked perfectly. Our server was very polite and checked on us regularly. He apologized for not getting the wine when our meal arrived. Our only complaint was the wine. Usually the wine arrives right before the meal but our meal arrived first and we ate slowly as we waited for the wine to come. The wine arrived five minutes later and the server explained that it wasn't cold enough to give us. By the time I finished eating (because we had to wait for the wine) my potatoes were cold. We finished our evening with dessert. I had the lemon-in-a-jar and Pooh had the Crème brûlée. Pooh's crème brûlée was perfect. My lemon dessert was too sweet. The tartness of the lemon was overpowered by the sweetness of the almond crumble We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent but they need to put the white wine in a cooler sooner.

Overall an okay spot, nice inside, my one dish was mediocre but not sure what the other dishes taste like.

It's a between breakfast and lunch place but it's not really your typical brunch place. I ordered their linguini con vongole; seafood pasta with tomato sauce. It was quite good actually. Lots of clams meat; it's decorated with 6 clams but there's more if you dig into the pasta. Waitress were friendly. Doesn't take too long for food to come either. One thing have to say though not very vegetarian/vegan friendly but again they don't advertise it either for it. Overall nice little place to go in family relax.
