Pooh and I came here for breakfast today. I had the grilled cheese du terroir and Pooh had the grilled cheese with ham. I accompanied my sandwich with a latté made with almond milk. Both sandwiches were delish!! The bread was crispy and not thick so each piece was easy to pick up. When I see "crusty bread" I cringe because most of the time it's so thick I have to use a knife and fork but not here - the bread was the perfect thinness Served with fried potatoes and greens. The only negative comment is the grilled bread was very greasy.

A nicely done flat white :) yum!

I just had the best breakfast dish, EVER! You know you are in for a special treat when the place is packed at 9am on a week day. Forget getting in for brunch on Sunday without a reservation. When I say it was the best breakfast dish, I'm not exaggerating. It started with an excellent exquisite flat white espresso. Made to near perfection. Bonus, they are refillable :) After looking at the menu, and seeing all the great pics here on Yelp, I just could not decide what to order. Plan B kick in, "tell the chef to cook whatever he would like". Oh boy, that was a smart decision. What a fraken treat!! Every.single.bite. was an explosion of flavors. Multi dimensional flavors, so fresh, so we'll balanced between salty, sweet and savory. Un.be.li.vable! The attention to details in my plate was, what I can only describe as passion, visible with each bite. Bending the trend of deconstructed dishes, pêche matinal served us a constructed breakfast dish out of this world. Home fries on the bottom, followed by a flax seed thick toast, some thinly sliced smoked salmon, a bunch of fresh veggies, perfectly ripened avocados with a yummylicious dressing crowns this jeweled of a dish. Pêché matinal is a bucket list item without a doubt! Mark my words, we will be back, very soon!

This place is a hidden gem. When I say hidden, I mean it because it took me 15 minutes, wandering around Saint-Charles in Longueuil to find the spot. Despite the fact that their sign is hard to see, this is one of the best breakfast spots I've tried on the south shore of Montreal. If you want an out of the ordinary breakfast place, that gives you options that you've never seen before (not the typical toasts-eggs-bacon-sausage mix), try it! I always get the plate called "Le Grano" and it fills me up without me feeling disgusting after. It's a great option if you don't eat meat. They have choices for everybody! Also, I've tried their iced coffee with almond milk and it was truly delicious, felt like high-quality coffee. In the summer, they have a cute terrasse and since the street doesn't get too busy, it's not loud. The inside of the restaurant is small, but if you RSVP in advance you'll be fine (I actually recommend to RSVP or else you'll have to wait 15-30 minutes before getting a spot). Parking is accessible on the streets next to Saint-Charles so do not worry about that!

Given that it is in Longueuil, it is worth 5*. The south shore definitely lacks selection of good restaurants and brunch places. Located in the Vieux Longueuil, there is definitely a line up on the weekend. I would say that the breakfast/brunch plates are quite flavourful. Great selection of savoury and sweet options. Portions are also quite generous. Pricing is above your average breakfast restaurant but the quality of the food is also superior. I would recommend going there.

Wonderful place! They close the kitchen at 3:00, but the kitchen closes at 2:00. We arrived at 2:12 and they accommodated us. The service was friendly and the food was awesome!

Péché matinale is definitely my go to brunch place on the south shore! I've come so many times with friends and family and it's always a hit for everyone. On weekends if you arrive after 9am, expect to wait at least 1 hour. On week days you can arrive anytime and wait 10 minutes maximum. Their French toast is fantastic (especially the salted caramel one!), their healthy breakfasts with homemade yogurt are very good and their lunch-breakfast options are my favourite. They make alot of their own breads. I particularly love heir orange rind and fennel buns. Their lattes and cappuccinos are great but if you want a pipping hot cup of coffee best to go for a filter coffee. They also accommodate cealiacs by offering a.selextion of gluten free bread that can be substituted in any dish. They also have seperate grittles to avoid cross contamination.

Amazing & Friendly service! My favourite restaurant during my last visit to Montreal :D Open-faced Sandwich (Tartine with Gravlax) - creamy goat cheese, salmon gravlax, avocado, onions ($13) - comes with a lovely grassy arugula and russet potatoes :) Grilled Cheese with Pears - caramelized pears in maple syrup, brie cheese and bacon on hazelnut and raisin bread ($14) Both were so good! I can't even describe how unique these dishes were because you'd have to try them out for yourself. The dishes were full of surprises!

Menu -well part of it! Looks like lots of yummy stuff

Charming restaurant with fantastic food. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu had so many great sounding dishes it was hard to choose. We ordered with gravlax and eggs Benedict. Both were excellent.

More than what I expected. The best brunch place I've been to thus far. Delicious food, great ambience and great service. What more can I ask for? Expect a bit of a wait, but the wait is worth it. Bonus: They even have a menu in English We ordered the following: 1. Grilled Cheese w/ Pears: 10/10 The best grilled cheese I've ever had. Comes with grilled Brie cheese in between pears and a tasty raisin bread. Came with a light salad w/ hash. Can also opt for fruits ($1.50 more). Great presentation & delicious savoury and sweet taste. Would order this a million times. 2. Grilled Cheese du Terroir: 10/10 This was a great grilled cheese sandwich for those looking on the savoury side. Reminded me of a perogie stuffed with cheddar cheese, bacon, mushrooms & more but with a twist. Great presentation & savoury taste! 3. Country Bread French Toast: 10/10 Big portioning & delicious savoury taste. 4. Banana/Pear Mousse on Banana Bread French Toast: 10/10. The mousse was the best part, nice and smooth with some tiny pineapple bits. The plate also HS their signature homemade Nutella with almonds. If you're craving something on the sweeter side, order this! If you're travelling within Quebec, this is a must try!!

If you've ever seen Dragged Across Concrete and watched Vince Vaughn enjoy his egg salad, you'll know how I felt eating my grilled ham and cheese on gluten free bread - I never wanted it to end. Highly recommend and good vibes from the staff too.

Benedict with an extra egg lol.

Be prepared to wait awhile but absolutely worth the wait! The food is spectacular even if the service is a little bit slow, though our waitress was very nice. I ordered the benedict, the bread pudding was so good, the cheddar flavor was perfect and added just enough salt to the dish. There was a ton of meat in the dish as well. I ordered toast just so I could try the homemade jam which was amazing. All in all, highly recommend!

The legendary brunch place in old Longueuil! It was super crowded there even on a rainy Thursday morning! If you pay a visit here in the weekend then there's no doubt that you need to lineup, so avoid those busy days! I tried their Amarillo latte, which was not strong enough for me, which was quite a pity because it was quite pricey. We took the smoked salmon bagel and a deer meat sausage casserole with homemade bread, very good but a bit too oily. The price is a bit high too, but clearly people are very willing to pay, since the restaurant was so packed. The service was quite good and I enjoyed the overall dining experience.

Ça c'est un péché matinal. Awesome place for brunch. It is a liittle bit crowded, we had to wait for a while. So we decided to wait at the bar next door and we said to ourselves, mmmm, let's have some beers (it was around 11am). When the table was free at the Peche Matinal, the hostess came personally to the next door bar, and told us that whenever we were ready, we could join the restaurant after finishing our beers. But she also offered to bring plastic cups said that we could enter with the beers from the other bar no problem (that was pretty cool). So we did since we were hungry. We were a little bit on the happy side and when entering the place, everybody could tell and were smiling at us hehehehe. The food is absolutely amazing. Very good place for brunch. I would recommend to sit at the back, it has a nice glass ceiling (it was a sunny beautiful day).

I had a typical 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast while my, absolutely amazing, wife devoured the tuna melt. We both enjoyed our food and the diner vibe. The service was prompt, the kitchen expedient, and courteous. Never had an empty cup of coffee! Although we've not tried them, it looks like Tutti Frutti offers some yummy crepes and waffles too! Bonus, coffee is pretty much included with almost every breakfast. Plenty of parking and easy access from the street makes this diner a great quick eat and dash option. It's a pretty big location, the line on weekends moves quickly and its very clean. If you order a latte, espresso or cappuccino, it will be a Nespresso beverage. Ive be twice now and the ingredients are of good quality, fruit is fresh and they accommodate gluten allergies. They actually have a separate griddle just for gluten free meal preparations to avoid cross contamination. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. It was probably a mix but it didn't taste like it. My mom ordered a crepe made with buckwheat so it was already gluten free but they made sure to prepare it carefully on the seperate griddle. The staff are very efficient and knowledgeable about allergies. Portions are also generous. This place is great for budget breakfast! Definitely recommend this location.

Small restaurant owned by two ladies who both run the kitchen and man the tables -La Visite…read morespecializes in breakfast - although they do have table d'hote meals and lunch items like pasta or sandwiches. They have no frills breakfast deals like eggs and toast for 5$ advertised at the entrance. I wanted something a little fancier so I opted for a custom omelette combo that is served with potatoes, toast and a choice of veggies or fruit as as side. I was disappointed with the cheddar cheese that I chose for my omelette, it ended up being Kraft Single slices which kind of ruined the whole thing. Makes me think the ingredients are cheap - although prices aren't a bargain for everything. The only orange juice they have is bottled Minute Maid and it was 4$. They try to upsell by asking if you want thicker italian style bread, but there is an additional charge, and the overall portions are small. I suppose if you want a basic breakfast, this does the trick, but the lime green setting is unappealing and tiny, doesn't make me want to dine here knowing I can make something perfectly equivalent, if not better and just stay at home. The chairs and booths are cramped, very uncomfortable. The backrest for the booths are angled in a way where you are leaning forward the entire time. Note - They have pictures and menus on their Facebook page "Resto La Visite" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Resto-La-Visite/454891847907743
