This was my kids' most favorite breakfast restaurant when we were in Montreal. They came there every single day for their breakfast. The food was good and this is a huge place so there wasn't typically a line except for the weekend

We got the salmon, bacon & egg, smoked meat & strawberry banana pancakes. All were very good. Free refills on coffee. Toast was good, choice of white or wheat, 1 refill for it in basket. Fruit presentation is impressive. Good variety in menu choices.

My husband, myself, and our 2 friends were itching to find a brunch spot nearby. We ended up agreeing to Cora! It was a little tricky to find since it's actually inside of a hotel. You must walk into the entrance of the hotel, walk down a couple of steps and the entrance is to the left. They were really quick to seat us around 1030/11am during the Canada Day celebration! All of our breakfast orders came in a timely manner and were quite tasty. If our own hotel didn't offer a free continental breakfast, I would've eaten here everyday. The service was fairly quick and the walls are mostly a yellow color with fruits painted on the walls that allow for a more warm, cheerful environment. You really can't go wrong with any item on the menu. They serve various dishes that range from variations of crepes, sandwiches, regular breakfast items, etc. Definitely worth a try for a nice, casual brunch.

We didnt know it was inside a hotel. It was really nice that almost all breakfast dishes come with a fruit salad and they were variety of fruits. The harvest 90 was good, the french toast was a bit heavy. The gigi was very light and delicious.

Ham and Cheese Crepe :)

Noticed that the Cora was attached to the Best Western that I was staying and decided to go there for breakfast this morning. Came in, the waitress was cheerful and asked us if we preferred French or English. My sister replied French for her, English for me. We were then quickly seated and asked what we would like to drink. For me definitely coffee. I ordered the ham & Swiss savoury crepe while my sister ordered the original crepe (crepe nature) w/sausage along with a side of maple syrup. Both dishes came with one strawberry, a slice of cantaloupe and a slice of pineapple. My crepe had about three slices of ham and promptly covered in melted Swiss cheese, folded in half then two slice of Swiss cheese melted on top. I ate about half of it without maple syrup just to get the taste then added the syrup... definitely eat with the syrup lol. We were in a bit of a rush so we scarfed down so fast and quickly pay and left. Overall good experience.

This is a great breakfast joint. The mountain of fruit is no joke, and the meal comes with coffee! It was pretty busy when we went in, but we didn't need to wait too long to be seated and order. I ordered the Recolte 90 (and substituted the bacon with ham and selected scrambled eggs). The cinnamon raisin brioche french toast was very light and fluffy. I didn't add any syrup and found the flavoring perfectly adequate. Very happy with the mountain of fruit. It was super fresh, and it was not drowning in syrup like you'd find in many other breakfast joints. I wished there was more egg though. Besides that, my breakfast was perfect. I also ordered orange juice, and that was good. My partner ordered a small Sarraisn Surprise. I didn't really care for it. The crepe wasn't very appetizing to me, and the sausage inside was okay. She struggled to finish her meal because she thought there was too much fruit (which I happened to love because I finished her fruit). In other words, if you're looking for a heavy American breakfast, this may not be the place to go. But if you want a lighter breakfast to get you going for the day it's excellent.

Never fails to impress- always good food and good service. This is our 3rd time back and this time with family of 5 - wonderful food - Thomas exceptional server- kudos to him. Understands service and making guests welcome and want to come back. Food is advertised in the picture; reasonably priced. Will go back each time I'm in the area

This is a great spot for breakfast in Montreal. It's not too far off the main street (St. Catherine's), and the place is huge! There's a big sign out front, but you might walk right past the entrance like we did, as it's attached to the Best Western hotel. The breakfast menu is ginormous with tons of options -- several yogurt & granola dishes, eggs, omelettes, crepes, waffles, pancakes, bagels, and even a gluten-free. I had my eye on the omelette section, but being in Montreal (with so may French influences), I wanted to try the crepes. Lucky for me, they created a dish here that combines both into a Crepomolette! It was delicious, with eggs, spinach, Swiss cheese and Hollandaise sauce. It comes with a side dish of fresh fruit, which they carve into beautiful little works of art. There's nothing fancy about this place, in fact it looks almost like a fancy Denny's. But the service was excellent, and the prices are very reasonable (especially with the favorable US exchange rate!), and the food was delicious. I will certainly come back the next time I'm in Montreal.

3.5 stars! Easily my favorite brunch place in Montreal. It was next door to me when I was staying at the Sheraton for conference. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, and you get quite a lot of food for the price. (Especially compared to the $19.99+ breakfast price tag at Sheraton) Since I'm a fruit fanatic, I love the food combination at Cora with huge sides of fruits. The food is decent, we ordered cinnamon bun and bacon topped with a lot of fruits as well as egg/sausage/bacon with hash browns. The atmosphere is quite relaxing, a great place for friends to social in the morning. Nothing exquisite, just simple delicious relaxing food.

After over half an hour, we haven't gotten our food. The table is also dirty, and our server is nowhere to be seen. This is outrageous.

Great food, great place. My advice for penny-pinchers: get there before 8 AM. There's an early bird menu.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. It was very busy when we arrived, but we were told it would only be a 10 minute wait. We sat outside on a bench, and waited to be called. I admired the ambiance as we were shown to our table. It was full, and noisy, but so much that we couldn't talk to each other. Bonus points for whoever designed the sound system that played 80s music during our visit. Enough speakers to fill the room with sound, and the system didn't need to played loud to be enjoyed. Coffee was superb. Just the right strength, with lovely notes of chocolate. I had the chicken melt, which was incredible. Real chicken pieces, sauce with a touch of heat, and toppings with just the right amount of savoury. Her panini was equally good. The star of the meal was the french roast. Heated all the way through, with the right balance of fruit, cheese, and syrop.

I stayed there recently, and on the morning of my check-out I received a phone call with devastating news about a life-threatening medical emergency in my immediate family. I was on the phone trying to resolve the problem with Emergency Room doctors and lost track of the time. When I received a call from the hotel management to inform me that I had overstayed my time in the room, I raced at lightening speed to clear out of the room. Minutes later, I cleared out of the room, which I left immaculate and ready to be sold to another guest. I departed the room well before the 4pm check-in time for new guests; I checked out just 2 hours late (literally it was 2 hours). They nonetheless slapped me with a $60 fine for this very small, very human error. It was one of the worst days of my life, I was in tears and begged them not to charge me. I am also disabled and they not only refused to remove the $60 fine, they also did not help me with my bags when my taxi came, they let me limp and drag my own luggage to the curb. I am beyond shocked at this cruelty and greed, at this utter lack of compassion and inability to relate to a fellow human being as anything other than a cash cow. I will never forget being treated this way when I was in distress. Also the breakfast is terrible and overpriced; the coffee was cold, the fruit was flavorless and dried out, there were few fresh and healthy choices, mostly ultra processed yoghurt and cereals, commercialized white bread. All for $25, way too much in a city with such incredible food. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and I tried to resolve this both in person and on the phone subsequently and was met with cold indifference at every turn.

My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.
