We were looking for a quick breakfast spot and were able to sit at an outside table at maman. It was a beautiful fall morning, the staff was kind, and the food came out so quickly! Everything was tasty. I love almond croissants and so I've tried about a million and a half and this one was fine - I give it a 3.5. The rest of our food was fantastic!

Went here for the first time- wow! From the moment you walk in it feels like you are entering a fairy tale, with beautiful vintage decor and mismatched furniture. The service is good and menu delicious! Tried the avo toast, sophia sandwhich and Yves salad- all absolutely delectable! Would not change one thing, and we were very well served in French! Highly highly recommend for a charming and delicious brunch experience!!

I've heard a lot about Maman NYC locations and couldn't wait to try their new Montreal spot, and let's say that it didn't disappoint! I went there on lunchtime with a friend, first we ordered a moka and a latte, both were great... kudos to the latte art which was amazingly done! Then I went for their croque maman à la truffe with an egg (they kinda had me at homemade bechamel sauce), the bread wasn't dry, the portions were gargantuan, I loved it! Now, my friend who was raised in the south of France, was more than happy to see items on the menu that were familiar to her palate and ordered the ratatouille... and didn't like her dish. She ended up giving it to me, and guess what? I loved it! To me it was mostly a matter of taste, or maybe because I'm not an expert in South of France cuisine lol. All in all, the service was great, the interior was fabulous, I'll be back for sure!

Loved this place! Not sure why everyone was complaining about the service, we had no delay being seated, served and our water was always full even if it was busy. Either way Sunday afternoon is fine for service! As for the food it was really amazing. We had the egg ratatouille (vegetarian) and the breakfast sandwich which had the most amazing sauce in it. Would definitely recommend the sandwich! There were so many other great sounding dishes, will be back to try them! The decor is also very pretty! They have individual tables to sit at for 2 people and also large picnic tables. We sat at the big tables and it was very cozy and still felt private unlike some other restaurants which have communal tables. Very cute new spot in Griffintown.

Service correct

My high expectations was a let down. Maman is well known in NY, Toronto... is located in the heart of our Montreal, in Griffintown. It's a perfect spot; the restaurant is very charming with old and new mix of decors. It has the vibe of rustic feel and Victoria era. The service is initially super slow; a waitress attended us after 20 minutes of sitting with no water yet. The restaurant wasn't busy yet, but it got afterwards. After, ordering our drinks and meal; everything arrived promptly. My coffee is presented beautifully in Victorian cup with a saucer. The highlight was the creamer which is a bunny. Very adorable. As per the main dish, I had a sandwich called Jessalyn sandwich with greens on the side. The sandwich was with grilled halloumi, pickled onion, cucumbers, leek hummus and mint. The sandwich was good but halloumi was very salty, and the bread was hard to chew. The side salad's dressing was very bitter. My sister had a cappuccino and Florence salad with red quinoa, halloumi, squash, artichoke and harissa. Again, halloumi was too salty, and the salad was soggy because of too much dressing. Overall beautiful place, average service and below average food. In conclusion, I was happy to try this place though.

We had an amazing time, we came here early and were tired but our server was in an awesome mood which made our day. Friendly staff, good vibes, the food hit the spot too I love a place that's genuine, isn't over the top for no reason, and this has just the perfect balance. Thank you guys!!! Keep it going, keep it real.

This place was hands down a highlight of my Montréal food scene experience. The shop itself is very cute and cozy, with just two small tables by the window and a few chairs. The décor is simple, and so are your choices, which honestly works in their favor. When you step inside, you get a direct view of the bakers working their magic, which makes the experience even better. We ordered a hot chocolate, plain croissants, chocolate croissants, and a slice of the Kouign‑Amann. If you like a dark, rich hot chocolate that's not overly sweet, look no further, this is the place. As for the croissants, both the plain and chocolate versions were good but fairly standard. However, the real star was the Kouign‑Amann. It was served warm, perfectly crispy, and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It was so good that when I finished my slice, I went back to the counter hoping for more but they were sold out. To be fair, I arrived around 2pm and they close at 3pm. Despite that, the line moved quickly, and the staff were some of the sweetest people ever. My only regret? I only bought one slice. I'd highly recommend this place, but make sure you get there early if you want to snag a slice of Kouign‑Amann before they sell out.

I was intrigued, and since I can always go for some carbs I decided to head in and check this place out. Unlike most bakeries I visited, Boulangerie Guillaume has a much more modern look, and is larger than a standard bakery. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by stairs which led up to the main production area. All of the bakes were arranged on the back-wall perimeter of the space separated from the pedestrians by a glass wall. The color scheme was mostly black to contrast the bright yellow of the bags and signage. The arrangement of the bakes, combined with the color scheme and modern aesthetics, resulted in a stunning, visually striking presentation. I wasn't too hungry, but I can always go for some sweets and their date square looked good. I went with that, along with a cappuccino. The square was delicious - the dates were high quality, and the crust underneath was moist while maintaining its integrity. The cappuccino was also good, a great complement to the bake. Service was efficient, and overall I had a great experience at Boulangerie Guillaume. I definitely want to return to explore more of their menu - I noticed they had some savory items so perhaps for some lunch. Definitely one of the best bakeries I visited in Montreal.

The reviews looked great, so we made our way over for some bakes. I assume La Cave gets its name from the fact that you are kinda entering a cave. The bakery is located in a basement surrounded in stone both on the exterior and interior. The bakery isn't large, but it's arranged in a way that foot traffic flows well. They have a good variety of bakes, though we were there relatively late in the day so some had already run out. Despite that, we had several to choose from. We decided to go with the ham and cheese croissant and one of their stuffed croissants. The former was pretty standard - there's wasn't a lot of ham but the flavor was there. The latter was one of those viral circular croissants that have been popular on social media; they had three flavors and I went with the lemon meringue. It was pretty good - it had a good ratio of stuffing to pastry and the lemon curd had a bright flavor. Service as good, the team was eager to help and super efficient. Overall, I had a good experience at La Cave a Manger - there are definitely some good bakes here and I wouldn't hesitate to return to try more of their menu.

The Long Version: So I had never heard of Rossetti before. They didn't exist when I was living in Montreal (the 2000s) and after I left, my husband (who was still my boyfriend at the beginning) and I would return often (at least a few times a year until 2019) and I'm pretty sure they weren't around then. We took a few years hiatus from visiting Montreal and then when we returned in 2024, boom, Rossetti had 4 different locations in the downtown core! What's their origin story? I have no idea. Their website has no "About Us" section. All I know is they opened sometime between 2020 and 2024, lol. I tried their caramel eclair ($5.50). The caramel icing was really tasty, but I found the choux pastry and the custard filling a bit dry. They have cannoli, amaretti, financiers, croissants and tarts. They also have sandwiches and pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have sfogliatella, my favourite Italian pastry. Oh, they also have coffees and teas. The interior is nice with seating to dine in. Service was neutral. I may return to try another item. Maybe at one of their other locations. Review #16 (2025)

While in Miami last year, my husband, mother-in-law and I became big fans of the Rosetta on lower Collins Ave and then once they opened the one by Lincoln Center in NYC, we began to visit that one often since it's walking distance. After climbing to the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mont Royal, we decided we needed sustenance on our way back down and we spied Rosetti as we were walking back to our hotel. Since it looked very similar to Rosetta, we decided to stop in and grab a bite. The sandwiches and pastries were on full display and we knew we made a good choice. I had a Pizza Margherita which was huge...I could have shared it. I also had a caramel tart for a sweet treat afterwards. Others in the group had sandwiches and other sweets which they all enjoyed. There are some stools at a counter downstairs and a little more seating upstairs with a few low tables along with some high tops and counters. The ladies who worked there were very nice. We enjoyed our food and think it's a great place for a quick bite that's a bit elevated from traditional fast food.
