One of the many anticafes in Montreal. I stopped by to get some work done and I'm so glad I gave this place a try! It's so much coooler than a library, and much more cozy and welcoming than a cafe. If you've never been to one, it's basically paid per hour, with a max rate per day, and all coffee and drinks and snacks are included! Plus they have free wifi (of course). When you go in, theres a shelf full of slippers and even crocs for you to wear, so their place stays clean and your feet stay comfy! There's lots of soft couches, or dining tables, or theres a high table/ledge with stools facing outside, and lots more. The decor is full of interesting vintage objects, and lots of cute green plants. Very quirky and full of character. There's blankets and board games around too! They have another floor with more seating as well, but I didn't venture upwards. The snacks are pretty simple but tasty and with a good variety. Theres cookies and biscuits, carrot sticks, tortilla chips, rice crackers, hummus (homemade), gumdrops, mini oreos, bread/PB/Jam and more. They also have a panini press if you want to make a grilled cheese sandwich! The coffee is included too and you can ask the staff to make you a fancy drink, or they have just plain coffee as well, with milk, creamer, almond milk, and soy available. Their tea selection is very impressive with lots of options. Most are loose leaf, and they have these little teabags you can fill yourself. Their only rule is for you to wash your dishes when you're done! I like how they are quite eco friendly, as they minimize on packaging and disposable dishware, and they have compost as well. The staff are very friendly and approachable, and I really liked the general ambiance of.the place. I think I'd definitely come here quite often if I lived downtown! *note: this place is located upstairs, so not wheelchair accessible unfortunately :(

I saw many people going into this place at around 6pm on a Saturday night so decided to check it out for myself. Firstly, the entrance is easy to miss as its just a narrow door with no windows, which lead to an even narrower steep flight of stairs - really uncomfortable. Once upstairs, there is another set of doors, that opens out (onto the staircase) and really require both to be opened in order to even fit through (definitely would not pass building Code). Inside it was super crowded as the registration area is right in front of the door so creates traffic; I know it is a 'shared workspace' area and I am sure it could have been very cosy as a cafe, but it was more like a secret hidden hang-out spot where barely one person can fit through the corridor at a time. The snacks and kitchen are shared by all, again everyone touching the same utensils etc in a very cramped space. Overall, it is an extremely tiny and narrow layout with lots of little 'booth' rooms and full of people - forget social distancing here, it was like the total opposite. I felt suffocated almost instantly and wanted to leave. Enter at your own risk!

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and attentiveness of our server, considering how busy the place was. The service was fast, the food was excellent-really generous portions, savory, cooked really well and presented attractively. I had an honey goat cheese omelette with peppers, red onions, arugula and a delicious balsamic sauce drizzled on top. It was served with cubed potatoes and the best rye toast I've ever had. My son enjoyed his Nutella and strawberry crepes. Their coffee was great and they provide unlimited refills of it while you eat. We loved it so much that we returned the following day and I had perfectly fluffy blueberry pancakes with English cream which was so good it makes regular whipped cream seem like nonsense lol...my son had banana waffles and Nutella. We ate in silence. You know the food is great when you can't be bothered to speak!

Ordered a Choco Coco De Luxe which was marked as a favorite. Eggs over easy with sausage and a tasty Crepe filled with strawberries. Hearty dish and pure comfort! Two of the Specials (Allo Mon Coco) were ordered also-the pancakes with Hazelnut spread took it over the top. Service was friendly and upbeat with our food arriving in a timely manner. They have a handful of other locations in the MTL. Area. Solid neighborhood Brunch/Lunch spot.

The service is nice and amiable. I wanted to try their signature ice cream which is Gaufre Gonflé. So I took pecan butter ice cream topped with reese candies and Bailey liquid, and my cone was made of waffle. Honestly, the tastes isn't so crazy as it's hyped about. Crazy sugar rush, now crying.... just kidding. Yes, the ice cream does look funky and fancy. I paid a hefty amount for its look. I felt like a shallow person to enjoy this ice cream for its cover than its quality.

It was light and fluffy and even though it was quite large it didn't feel too heavy afterwards! Their is a large selection of toppings! We also took the watermelon bubble tea. The pearls aren't tapioca they are like small bubbles filled with juice inside. The cup was so cute with all the lights you can also change the settings for the lights by pressing the button under it. the bubble tea (more juice than tea) was fine. There are only a few tables and a couple of chairs and we got lucky we got there before a big wave of kids came. Definitely recommend the bubble waffle for a special occasion (because it's still not that cheap)!

I couldn't finish the Egg on Your Face, so I had the rest for lunch (it was almost as good cold!). But it was DELICIOUS. Everything was really tasty and the croissants are so flaky. Service is fast - but you can tell some of the items are freshly made (like the French toast and panini). The atmosphere is adorable & quaint. Seating is a bit crowded, but that makes it charming.

The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.
