    Tea and cucumber basil lemonade
    Sharon M.

Juliette et Chocolat...and I didn't even think about having any chocolate. I was here all for the crepes!! I was researching the menu while on the metro going to this place. Crepes crepes crepes!!! And of course, when you hype yourself up that much for something, you're bound to be a little let down. A group of friends and I came here for crepe lunch, which is quite a good value. About $20 for a savoury crepe, a dessert crepe, and then coffee or tea. It was a good catch-up session between the group...because the crepes took almost an hour to get to us. Lots of time to catch up. The tea and coffee were great, served in real pitchers with loose leaf for the teas. Also ordered a cucumber basil lemonade which tasted like a grassy smoothie...hmm. At least it felt really healthy. The crepes were...kinda meh. Correction, the savoury crepe, which was supposed to be the main attraction, was kinda meh. I got the Sunshine Crepe made with sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, bacon, cheese, and bechamel. The buckwheat crepe wasn't very smooth nor flavourful. The ingredients were kinda lackluster (limp greens, flimsy bacon, goopy bechamel). What saved it was the smoked salmon...which I had added for $4. On the other hand, the dessert crepe was marvelous. The crepe itself was light and smooth, like what I'd expect a crepe to taste like. It was filled with either melted dark chocolate or caramel, with a light sprinkling of powder sugar. Very satisfying end to an otherwise meh meal. I mean, not a bad brunch deal. I rank it higher than an overpriced mediocre brunch place (like Cora's), but it's not going to be a favourite spot any time soon. Dessert crepes though? 100% will eat that instead of real lunch again. (61/100) - 2018

Only come here if you really have a sweet tooth. The desserts were honestly way too sweet for me, it could definitely use some dialing back. All the desserts are quite massive and could very easily be shared. Their price point is a bit high, and for seemingly simple desserts. We got the Oreo and s'mores waffles, raspberry cheesecake, and the brownie and s'mores milkshake. The raspberry cheesecake is a smaller and less sweet dessert than the rest. It's a nice simple dessert, and probably the only thing that doesn't have chocolate. The brownie and s'mores milkshake is pretty good. The marshmallows don't really have a s'mores quality to it, but the milkshake itself is a good balance of sweetness and chocolate goodness. The Oreo and s'mores waffles was probably a low point for the dessert. The marshmallows were more s'mores-like than the shake, but the waffles were...gritty. There are very glaring chunks of sugar in the waffles that doesn't make a good mouth-feel when eating it. I'm pretty sure the waffles should be warm enough to have these at least a little melted...but it wasn't. The whole mix of items was also simply way too sweet! I'd probably end up with diabetes if I tried to eat it all. Part of this is probably our fault for ordering it, but I feel like it should have some sort of balance so it's not completely overwhelming. Overall, this is one of those places you should come to share desserts. It's much too sweet to eat on your own, unless you're REALLY into sugar.

My friend and I were visiting Montreal & we stumbled upon this delicious, decadent and chocolatey spot. The servers / cashiers were super patient. They knew English and French, which I think is amazing in customer service, and also the employees were able to explain everything easily and in a helpful & patient manner. I got the hazelnut ice cream with a lava cake that had salted caramel and mocha latte and they were absolutely wonderful! I loved every bit of my visit here my friend enjoyed hers everything tasted like perfection wish we had one in Atlanta.

    February 19, 2019 - Yummy!

February 19, 2019 - one of my co-workers recommended this place. When we got in it was near closing time. The staff was friendly and the interior was nice. Lots of yummy looking desserts and different items to purchase. There was a small little tasting area for the Tartinades by the cashier, I tried all of them but loved the Salted Caramel one. I decided to get it the Salted Caramel Tartinade and a Tiramisu. My cousin bought the Strawberry cheesecake and a cookie. When we got to our Airbnb, we ate the Tiramisu and Strawberry Cheesecake first ... we loved it!! It was so good. My cousin ate the cookie and fell in love. As she was eating the cookie she couldn't understand why she didn't buy more... but then slowly started to remember that the cookie was almost $6 for one!! Totally worth it though! As for the salted Caramel I brought it back to Toronto with me thinking how yummy would this be on Ice cream or whatever... but, but.... one day I was in the kitchen and my mother was like "Ann where did you get that Sauce from??... I was like what sauce?!? Then I noticed an empty jar -_- !! I was not impressed! Happy she LOVED it! But wooo she ate the whole thing. I never even got to try any more of it. So if I go back to MTL is have to get a few more and hide them!

For every person who has a sweet tooth! This place is a must! Chocolate heaven! From drinks to brownies to ice cream. I went here with my friends to catch up. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The place was always packed means there's a lot of people who loves chocolates. The menu prices are a bit high but it was worth it. The presentation of the food is very appetizing!

This is a great place to lounge. I think that's what many people were doing. Everyone was talking but it didn't feel that noisy, I guess because the place is spacious. Their menu contains a lot, so be ready to sit there for a while to decide on what you would like to drink and/or eat. There is chocolate on everything, chocolate can even come with your tea. I ordered the Chocolat fondant, which came with lava cake and an ice cream. i stuck the ice cream in the lava cake because the cake was so sweet because adding more sugar makes it less sweet. In this case it did, trust me. I also got the Grandmother's Hot chocolate ( 33%) which can come with a bowl of whip cream. For me this was too sweet, tasted more like syrup. I wish I had a glass of milk. The presentation for this drink was really nice though, so I would order it to take pictures haha I would come back to try out other less sweet options from their menu

Wanting a sweet treat this place was recommended to me by a fellow Yelper. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate- heaven's delight! Fairly empty on a weekday I was shocked to see how huge this place is! Tables in the front and lots of seating in the back (looks more fancy in the back, red chairs, loungers, etc). You can get some pastries and coffee/tea to go - there are several chocolate desserts - white chocolate, dark chocolate and every kind of chocolate in between! I decided on chocolate mint tea (delish!) and then decided I would actually sit down and grab something from the menu. I decided on the dark chocolate dip with fruits. When this was brought to me I was surprised- I would have assumed the fruits would be just strawberries and bananas but it was so much more than those 2 options. Apples, orange slices, pear, blueberries oh my! You can choose the type of chocolate dip you want (dark; extra bitter, white, etc). Service was really friendly and this cafe/restaurant also has a small store in the front where you can purchase some of their unique chocolate spreads. A great dessert place!

I don't think I am the first person to make such comments on this place. I was actually just going to get something for take out. The place was half-packed. Only one guy server. Two ladies in the counter making the desserts. There's just a couple in front of me waiting to be seated. After a few minutes, they got their table. Now it was my turn. Waiting for the guy to come back to me and ask if I'm dining in or taking out. He NEVER did. Stood there for I don't know how many minutes until another couple came in, stood behind me and to my surprise, this guy server went to them! I WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM and he talked to the people behind me! I don't want to believe this is a racist act. I don't. This is straight up rudeness! And because I'm just visiting Montreal for the second time, I had to calm myself down and call the attention of one of the ladies in the counter to just get what I want and leave the heck out of there. Not coming back here for sure. As for the tiramisu I ordered, there's nothing special. Plain Jane.

Maple syrup waffle with berries and vanilla ice cream

I had been plotting a return visit to Juliette et Chocolat since learning of this new and more convenient location. Situated on Ste Catherine O, just west of Guy, the dessert salon is huge and can accommodate shoppers, students from the nearby university, groups of friends, and couples. Mid-afternoon, the restaurant was relatively empty but filled up quickly. At the front of the restaurant is a dessert case with limited offerings. The menu, however, showcased the wide range of chocolate desserts available, including chocolate, Nutella, and fruit crepes; Belgium waffles; numerous brownies including the Balsamico (bitter chocolate, raspberries, balsamic reduction) and the Brookie (brownie and cookie); fondues; ice cream treats including banana splits and sundaes; a variety of drinking chocolates featuring dark and milk chocolates with different cocoa content, and other desserts such as s'mores, tiramisu, etc. It took a while to decide given all the options, as well as, I'll admit, some people-watching. Previously, I had the fruit fondue which was at once refreshing and decadent. This time around, I was leaning more towards the banana split or sundae. However, while in Montreal, I thought it made more sense to go the crepes or waffles route; the maple syrup waffle looked amazing. With each waffle square topped with strawberries or blueberries and lightly dusted with powdered sugar, the waffle looked better than it tasted. Generally, waffles have a satisfying caramelized crunch and tender interior. The waffle here was lacking. I did like the vanilla ice cream though - rich, creamy, and with an intense vanilla flavor. Service was painfully and unnecessarily slow. We were there before the rush and had to wait a long while to be served a brownie from the dessert case while my waffle sat cooling at our table. Ours was not an isolated incident: a neighboring table actually called the waitress over to confirm if their order had been put in, given their wait.

Came here for a quick post-dinner dessert. We shared the salted caramel crepe with bananas topped with vanilla ice cream. The waiter was very nice and service was quick. The crepe came out fresh and hot. Only complaint is that I feel like they didn't put enough bananas. I really like the atmosphere in here and maybe it was the snow (in April ugh) but the place makes me think of Christmas and the holiday season for some reason. I left feeling joyous and satisfied! Looking forward to coming back. Next time I'll get my own crepe so I don't need to share!

Even though it was cold, we still stopped in for ice cream and the ice cream was terrific. FOOD: The chocolates were good but not the best. See's Candies in California is so much better for flavor and variety. But we did love the look of them and the options they offered. So don't go too big unless you're sharing. SERVICE: Everyone was super nice and the portions were HUGE. Definitely they do it right here.
