    Finally what a lot of you have been waiting for is montreal content, and I am so behind! But here is the first one! This brunch place is super good and I highly recommend it, they have a nice variety and loads of drink options too! Avo smash benedict ($22) ~ this was delicious the avo smash was good and that avocado was perfectly seasoned and the yolk was nicely poached. I liked the potatoes it came with and the hollandaise sauce was yummy too. 8/10. Chicken & waffle ($25) ~ the waffle was good the batter itself was nice and airy still with the savory chicken it paired well. The chicken was crispy and had nice spice to it. Tasted good with the sauces. 7.5/10 Short stack ($16) the strawberries and whipped cream paired so well with the French toast. It was airy, sweet and yummy. I do wish there was more strawberries to it instead of just the one piece though LOL. 6/10. Espresso martini ($15) ~ DELICIOUS it was rich and yummy. Not too strong but had a good amount of baileys in it. The coffee was prominent and just the perfect pick me up that in needed. 8.5/10. Overall this place was good and that espresso martini was delicious. Highly recommend the avo smash it was my fav dish here we tried.

    Nice atmosphere. Attentive service. Large variety of brunch type meals. Food was good, well seasoned, but maybe a little boring., at least the standard menu items. Breakfast burrito was heavy on egg, and light on the rest of ingredients. Which was a bit overwhelming. El Hefe was good, but simple, could have used more mayo and bacon and guacamole and less big brioche bun. Not 5 star. But solid 4.

    Food was delicious! The hulk was delicious. Service was excellent! Came with a group of 12 and was seated fairly quickly.

    I got the Rustic which is the eggs benedict with sauteed mushrooms and St. Paulin cheese on an english muffin. So delicious and flavourful mushrooms with incredibly rich and buttery hollandaise sauce. I highly recommend this brunch spot. We came around opening and we were one of the first people seated though when we left, the place was getting busier. Service was great!

    Fabergé's been around forever and we're glad we finally got to try it! Every plate was unique! We tried the smoked salmon benedicts (creamy and well seasoned), the cubano sandwich (pork wasn't dry, just perfect!) If you're really hungry, we recommend the Massif, a generous plate with 3 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage and french toast. The brunch plates are served with a side of their breakfast potatoes: exquisite. Try their iced coffees or lattes as well, they were super good! The service was also quick and great Price: around 20$/person

    Chicken and waffles! So bomb!

    So good! Spilt with our kiddo! Huge serving and so tasty! You have to try this joint if you're in the area...

    This was honestly one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! We ordered: Classic eggs Benedict Benny mac 2 scrambled eggs with Beyond sausage & toast 2 poached eggs with bacon & a bagel Tea A large freshly squeezed orange juice A small half & half (half grapefruit, half orange) I asked for my eggs poached hard and they were!! No one has ever gotten this right! The juice was small so make sure that you order the large. It was sweet. My family thoroughly enjoyed their food! The Benny mac is eggs Benedict on bbq pulled pork on top off baked macaroni and cheese. Service was adequate. Loved the food & would come back for the potatoes!!

    This was our first meal out in Montreal. We were courteously greeted upon entering, and seated promptly. We did wait a few minutes to get our order taken, but ingot the feeling they are not there to rush you and want you to take your time. I had the Crepes Czar with bacon, spinach, tomatoes and hollandaise sauce and a poached egg on top. The whole thing was insanely delicious and the home fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The drip coffee was also excellent. Great service, great staff, awesome food, will be back.

    I had high expectations for this place; so many people raved about it. Even on Yelp Montreal, the ratings are pretty high. Either I went on a wrong day or the quality of food and service went down. There was a bit of tiny a line up, but we were seated within 5 minutes. I didn't find the spot clean. I felt very crummy and sticky the place. Our waiter was average. He told us the service will be very long since it is super busy. I turn around, the restaurant is half empty. He brought my coffee; spills around the saucer. My coffee tasted ok, but leaving a dry taste afterwards that was bothersome. He brought my sister mango juice, but it tasted cucumber, and she barely drank it. We wanted to notify the waiter, but he was always rushing and didn't seem in the greatest mood. Our food arrived, at least the my PBJ French Toast was delicious and my sister's Banana Nutella Crepe was good but nothing ordinary. Unfortunately, it was disappointing except the food. I don't think I will ever come back.

    Sparkling.........{Lychee Mimosa}

    Brunch has got to be my favorite meal of the day! Especially when there are Mimosas in the mix. Instantly, those two things struck gold for me when I saw their online menu. Plus...there was no way I was gonna leave Montréal and head to NY- without having Crêpes. What??? If you don't mind the lines here, lay low and expect to wait a bit- it's just part of their game plan. But when you head inside though, the place is popping. Layout has all these different seating nooks with Booths and regular tables. And Black outline drawings, decorate their walls and ceiling. There's something for everyone here. My Nutella Crêpe was gooey and Chocolatey. While my husband went for a simple Croissant, with eggs and bacon. My Lychee and Passion Fruit Mimosas were equally excellent and unique. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of their food. Breakfast was simple and nicely made. Totally cozy spot- Calls for another visit!

    Daily lunch special: steak beni with a side of home fries and fruit; side poutine and Lychee mimosa

    My friends and I were in town for the weekend and settled on Faberge after finding it on some top lists for brunch in Montreal. I'm glad we came here! Everything was absolutely delicious! I was already expecting a line as it was Sunday but was glad to see that it wasn't too long when we arrived. It took about 20-30 minutes to get a seat for the 3 of us but it was expected, the place was packed! Between the three of us we ordered the daily special of Steak Beni, the Smoked Salmon Beni, the alouette omelette and shared a side order of poutine. Of course 2 of us had to get the lychee mimosa. I must say, this was one of the best beni's I've had. The hollandaise wasn't heavy at all and all the flavours were balanced. Usually I find eggs benedict to have too much vinegar flavour but this one was just right. Everything was super flavourful and cooked perfectly. My favourite part had to be the homefries! Even though they had cooled down by the time we got our meals, they were still crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My friend who's usually picky about her fries, ate every single piece. The poutine was also very flavourful with really tasty gravy and squeaky cheesecurds. To top this meal off, the lychee mimosa was great; the lychee flavour really peaked through. Service was good, a little slow at times but it was really busy. The waitresses were all very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. It's safe to say, I would definitely come back here to try more items on the menu.

    If you have a friend that lives in Montreal, they would most definitely rave about the brunch at Fabergé. It has the absolute best brunch in town. It has some amazing brunch dishes but also can add a twist of Montreal poutine into it too . I love getting Montreal bagels whenever I'm in town so I had to get their Fairmount Lox. It is a smoked salmon with cream cheese on top of a freshly made and toasted everything bagel . They added some fried capers, marinated onions and lemon, which really accented the salmon smoky taste . I always loved a good smoked salmon bagel but this dish definitely got to the top of my list . This brunch spots have many great dishes too including their classic egg Benedict and their oatmeal bowls . You have to try this spot if you're in Montreal .

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

I would assume many were customers first and then realized that this would be a chill place to eat. With my progeny, I almost made the mistake of eating in the Old Port. I mean, maybe chocolate crepes for dinner would have been more consumed than the healthier cheese and chicken alternatives at Chez Jose, but the relaxing vibe, and wholesomeness of it all, made me so relieved that I didn't settle for a tourist trap. I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too.
