Coziest little cafe on Rue St-Paul Quest, and the perfect place to stop by on a snowy day. The latte and chicken sandwich were both fantastic, and everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to visit again!

During my last visit to Montreal, I stopped in the other Tommy's location. This time, my apartment was closer to this location. Hands down this is the Tommy's to go to. The place is beautiful and intimate. The service was great too. I placed an order for Lox and my fiancé ordered Le Bene. The bread was unreal! So fluffy and baked to perfection. The portions were on the bigger side and very filling. Absolutely loved this location and will be back again! Highly recommend coming in if you're in the area.

This spot was a few feet away from our hotel in Old Montreal so I decided to pop in for an early morning breakfast. Loved it. I was happy to find a cute spot that passed the vibe test and had some unique menu options. I went with an avocado toast minus the bacon and of course.... the Lucky Charms Latte. Overall it was a great little find. Service was a little slow for me...but as a solo traveler, she may have forgotten me and was taking care of her more demanding tables. In either case, by the time I left this place was packed by both locals and non.

Awesome food off an eclectic menu - check Vibrancy of a busy downtown cafe - check Good music - check Sure, the sticky table is rather vividly stuck in my head but it may have to do with both the age and material of the table vs cleanliness. Coming from Australia, the unavailability of iced water was actually a plus for me also. Service wasn't exceptionally attentive but it was busy and the delicious food made me forget any minor gripe I may have had about the experience. Tommy will definitely be on my mind if I'm around the area again.

If you're looking for an aesthetic breakfast/lunch spot, go to Tommy's cafe in Montreal! It's seriously adorable inside. The staff is super friendly, and their breakfast and lunch? Soo good, the tomato soup is to die for! And I don't normally even like lattes, but the lucky charms latte was so good! Like childhood nostalgia in a cup! You've gotta try it.

Cute cafe, we loved the live plants decorating the space. Busy but quick/attentive service. A couple vegan options (a few more if you remove cheese) but no vegan protein options. We enjoyed the Buddha bowl & Ella avocado toast. The falafel on the toast was a bit dry/tasteless - but the rest of it was perfect!

Came to Tommy for brunch with friends while we were visiting Montreal. Ordered the bagel and lox, which was delicious. Friends ordered the greek avocado toast and the regular avocado toast. All was delicious and highly recommended! Another notable thing is they'll split the bill with no problems!

Fun little cafe with lots of sandwich, toast and other options. Service is very friendly and swift. Nice ambience and view out to the old square. Winner winner chicken sandwich and the stellina(?) Toast were excellent.

    Lucky charms latte

We stopped by here TWICE during our trip to Montréal. We had first heard of the cafe because of the Lucky Charms latte and were so glad it met our expectations. DRINKS I had expected it to be too sweet, but it was just right. For the base syrup, you have the option of caramel, hazelnut, or vanilla, and the drink is topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with the cereal in question. It's so simple but so good. FOOD We shared a smoked salmon bagel on sesame and were not impressed. It was kind of languid as the salmon was cool and the bagel hot post-toast, and it just did not mesh well. It was also on the saltier side than I would have liked. AMBIANCE The cafe's a little more towards the rowdier side as people come in to catch up with friends, and it's a hotspot for tourists, but I saw a good number of people coming in here to work/study. If you want it to be a little quieter when working, I'd come in the morning, as post 10am, it starts getting pretty loud.

I adore this little cafe! Best mochachino--rich and flavorful. I had the truffle Benedict--quite possibly life altering it was so good. My son had the spicy tuna sandwich and raved about it. The service was on spot too. Both English and French spoken here.

Excellent brewed coffee and ordered the salmon on bagel with shaved cucumber! It was fabulous! Service was very nice and the restaurant was small , quaint and cozy. Husband had the latte and the omelet and ate every bite on his plate.

    A very popular place.

We wondered into Tommy's on our first trip to Montreal. We had to wait on a table but it was only a few minutes. The server was very nice and the food was excellent! We had the chicken and avocado sandwich and salad. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely try it again on a return trip!

Love this place. Great ambiance and music. Easy food made out in the open. The warm turkey sandwich - so so good. Side salad had great dressing. The citrus iced tea was also good. Some tables are communal and it's a very easy atmosphere. Very nice wait staff including Monica.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

I would assume many were customers first and then realized that this would be a chill place to eat. With my progeny, I almost made the mistake of eating in the Old Port. I mean, maybe chocolate crepes for dinner would have been more consumed than the healthier cheese and chicken alternatives at Chez Jose, but the relaxing vibe, and wholesomeness of it all, made me so relieved that I didn't settle for a tourist trap. I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too.
