The ladies working there at the time were both very friendly and took our order promptly. 20 bucks gets you a whole little pot of chamomile tea, a gigantic shawarma wrap, a huge salad, and about 3 portions of salty , crispy, thick cut fries. For Rockridge prices, that is very good. Whoever was in the kitchen knows their stuff and I didn't even get a crepe. The manager even threw in two small complimentary chocolate muffins, for me and my aunt, completely free of charge. The shawarma was flavorful , tangy and soft and very well seasoned. I feel like I been here before, many years ago, but can't remember. This time, we came here for the "Buy one, get one $1 crepe" special for Valentine's Day 2025. When we sat down, I had the classic "strawberry & banana" crepe. My husband had "The Santorini" which had coconut, pistachio, mascarpone & other stuff in it. Both crepes came with whip cream & vanilla gelato. This place is bright & open, inside. The doors are open, so pigeons literally fly in. Doesn't bother me, it's just funny. Crepevine is a great place to go with friends! My old friends and I caught up over crepes and drinks last weekend. The reason I'm overall giving it three stars is the pricing - it's delicious, but I wished my crepe had much more chocolate in it. It felt like almost none at all. However, the fruit in the crepe was yummy. My margarita was good, but not particularly strong. It was a bit pricy given the strength, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. While Crepevine isn't, in my own experience, exceptional, I would still go back to spend time with friends, and the staff was very kind to us. It's a great casual place to eat. read more

Came here for a late afternoon happy hour to catch up with a colleague. We didn't get any food but enjoyed two giant sangrias. It was very quiet and slow on a weekday around 3:30 pm but perfect for catching up with a colleague to chat about work and non work things. The service was very friendly and fast. I absolutely love Crepevine in Oakland's Rockridge district on a sunny day. This airy restaurant serves delicious breakfast and lunch options to choose from. They have outdoor patio seating perfect for gorgeous weather. They have a walk up counter where you order your food and they bring it to you. The wait to get your food is not long at all. Their portions are large and I usually take home leftovers. Their food is delicious and fresh. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. While I was eating the staff served everyone free cinnamon muffin samples which was genius because they were so good we ordered some to take home. It's first come first serve seating so it may take a minute to find a table. They also have a upstairs seating area that most people don't see but perfect place to do work or have a lunch meeting. Only downside is parking can be challenging but a block away is Bart parking that may have spaces available. read more

The dish was really sour and I could tell because the blueberries that they gave me were super tiny and not ripe at all. I also would blame it on the sauce being sort of warm still and made the crepe somewhat soggy. There is also no wow factor to this dish but I think the sour blueberries made it less enjoyable. Obviously this place is known for its crepes. And yet, I couldn't help myself and had to order the NOLA eggs benedict with crab cakes and Cajun hollandaise sauce. I'm so glad I went that way. Not only did I get eggs benny but I also got a delicious sauce AND two very large crab cakes all for $15? Absolutely wild that I had so much food and good stuff for that price! There are so many options. My counterparts got a crepe each. One savory which was stuffed to the brim with chicken and filling. She couldn't eat the whole thing and said it was good but a little plain. The other friend got a sweet crepe with marscapone and similarly liked it but didn't love it. Crepes are a rarity around here though so I'd still love to come back and try one. Drinks are plentiful. I ended up getting a hot apple cider, another got an espresso drink, and one a mimosa. If I was drinking this weekend, I would have loved to try a mimosa with guava juice! They have at least 7 flavors. The servers were great. Our birthday girl wanted crepes on her day so off to Crepevine we went! Located on a cute shop lined street on College Ave in Rockridge, it's been a few years since coming out this way for crepes. We ended up eating inside and our party of 7 sat in a little nook off just off the counter. It was the perfect spot. It was counter service so that was comical ordering the amount of food we did all at once but the staff was on top of everything and our orders came out quickly. 3 kids chose the Tri-Berry crepe ($9.50), all sweet crepes come with whipped cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The tri-berry has strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, Nutella and topped with a chocolate drizzle. They all destroyed their crepes but all would've preferred to get crepes with just strawberries and Nutella next time as the blueberries and raspberries were a bit mushy and added a tartness to the crepes. Our youngest kid ordered the kid's mini pancakes ($5.50) pretty standard but she gobbled them up so they must've been good. Our eldest ordered the Tuscany crepe ($14.95) all savory crepes come with organic mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette as well as your choice home potatoes or French fries. The Tuscany was filled with chicken breast, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted almonds, provolone, feta cheese and pesto. Not something I would typically order, but my kid LOVED it. My husband wanted a savory crepe similar to the House special at another crepe place and they did their best and made him one. It had turkey breast, scrambled eggs and jack cheese in it. Not sure how much that one cost as they built it for him. Really nice of them to go out of their way! I had the El Paso ($14.25) all egg dishes come with home potatoes and your choice of toast. The El Paso is house made corned beef hash with bell peppers and onions with melted cheddar cheese over home potatoes and topped with 3 eggs any style. That dish was so damn good we went back the following weekend and ordered it again. It was so filling and really 1 dish is enough for 2 people. We would've ordered a sweet crepe as well but we were just too full. Lol There's ample seating inside and out. Expect to show your vaccination card if dining in. Staff was incredibly friendly both times. Just describing the food now makes me want to go back immediately! I wish! Will most definitely be back though as soon as possible for the El Paso, also want to give the Chilaquiles special a shot next time too. read more

My staff and I had breakfast/brunch here for one of our morning meetings and we really enjoyed it! You can sit outside, or inside, there's also an upstairs area which is where we sat. Loved the atmosphere! The menu has everything you could probably think of! Breakfast, sweet and savory crepes, brunch; sandwiches, burgers, fries, and they even have pastas! I ordered the pesto pasta with salmon and it was ok. It was quite bland and the pesto didn't didn't have a pesto taste. The salmon also didn't have seasoning and could've used more. Overall the dish was bland BUT, the portion was excellent! Good for 2 people to share! I gave it 4 stars because everyone else said their food was great. FYI - the mango iced tea isn't sweet at all, sodas are refillable. My meal was around $26. I'd go back again but idk if I'd get the pasta. I Ordered the Tuscany savory crepe ($15.95). Came with pieces of chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, pine nuts, feta cheese and pesto sauce. Also came with a side salad and potatoes. Today 6/14/25 was a hard day for me. I have an autistic child and he has severe food aversions and doesn't eat that many different foods. But his father who passed last year would always treat him to a crepe with bananas, chocolate, and Nutella. This evening he was refusing his regular food he eats for dinner and I couldn't think of an alternative. Then I thought of a crepe and where I took him for one last and that was Crepevine in Berkeley. I found the Oakland location which is closer than Berkeley, and drove there from Hayward praying that my autistic child would eat. The Black young lady, sorry I'm identifying her by race, but I didn't get her name I was too stressed out (I'm black as well). She was so kind, when I rushed in at 7:00pm to order to go a crepe, bacon, and apple juice. I was standing outside trying to calm my child who was just not in a good mood, very sad and hungry but not wanting anything to eat. The nice young lady brought it out to me when it was ready and that kind action was so helpful in that moment. My child ate everything in the car even the whipped cream on the side that he usually doesn't like. He said everything was soo good and his mood brightened up. When he got home he was able to fall asleep with no problems tonight. The food must of been magical because I haven't seen a turn around in his mood like this EVER! I wish I got the young lady's name but whoever reads these reviews please thank her for me for her excellent customer service and kindness. I really appreciate it! Have overheard the coworkers talking about this place and I'd been looking for a place to go to since moving back and discovered that Rolling Dunes is no longer. Place an order for a California with chicken and a Philly cheese for pick up. Parking is pain in that area, but after a few times circling found a spot. Pick up food and headed home excited to ear. Well as we started to eat, my guy asked if they put lamb in his. There was no chicken in the California even though I paid extra. I also noticed mine had salsa on it. Luckily we caught in time because he doesn't eat beef. I thought maybe I got the boxes mixed up. No, it was on them. The boxes were labeled, but they had put the crepes in the wrong box. I've had many items from the crepevine over the years... all good, especially the crepes with pesto! BUT my life is forever changed by the purple stack pankekis! Swedish oatmeal pancakes with marscopone and a blueberry compote. Tbh, I would have never tried them except that the restaurant had made an extra order by mistake and had offered them complimentary - so I decided to try 'em! (So sweet, btw - thank you!) And let me pause here to also mention the folks working there were all so friendly and welcoming!
