It's been 7-yrs since I bought a package + then added extra hours to fully transform my life and home, and it's still the smartest thing I ever did! Not a moment was wasted, no judgement ever, and extremely personable/positive! ** TBH, if I was rich ... I'd have created fake messes just to hang out with him 12x/yr! In addition to removing 12-years of my past trauma/busy clutter, I then asked him to help refresh my home decor because I was sooooo stuck & burnt-out. He listened/clarified/understood the feeling I wanted to achieve. We hit 3-stores in 3-hours, literally running to load our carts with treasures. How he fit everything into his SUV is a testament to his organizational skills! Then my visitors said, "Wow!" when they entered. I'd ask, "What does that mean?" Consistently they replied, "I didn't expect it to look THIS good!!!" Everything Steve suggested & placed in my home was a winner. Steve is the organizing super genius. He came in, got a quick sense of what I was after and we hit the ground running. I had worked with a different organizer who insisted I do things her way but that didn't work for me and how I do things. In contrast, Steve was able to listen to how my brain works then easily, cheerfully and skillfully organize in such a way that made sense for me and how I need things. Good lord, Steve's great. I am extremely pregnant and useless and while I'd normally be the sort of person to get right in there and get dusty... I needed someone to do all the work for me this time around. He normally collaborates with clients, but was very accommodating and tirelessly hacked away at my shithole of an art room for 3 hours, transforming it from a disaster zone where nothing creative could possibly happen to a place with space for all sorts of projects and work to occur. Does this man even drink water or urinate? He certainly didn't for those 3 hours. His rate was much higher than others I've seen, and it was worth every penny -- because at the end of 3 hours, I had a space I could use and very little "homework". If I ever let myself get horribly disorganized again, he will be my go-to guy. Steve's also got an art background, so if you happen to be a messy artist, it's nice that he knows what different art supplies are and why you might be very attached to things you made in the past even if they suck. Steve absolutely saved us. After our third child was born, our house felt incredibly cramped and we considered MOVING to a new house. Instead, we called Steve. We figured even if we decided to move, having our place organized wouldn't be time/money wasted. At the end of 2009 - just as I turned 59 - the company that had employed me for 24 years laid me off as they did with every employee nearing retirement age. Of course, I was unable to find work and now live on my Social Security, so you can imagine that I've had to downsize seriously. My late husband and I lived in a spacious home in Alameda with lots of stuff. I initially moved into a two-bedroom place near South Shore but couldn't keep up with the rent after spending what little retirement money I had. So, I wound up living in a very, very nice but also a very small apartment in the Berkeley Hills. When I moved in, I still had not only too much stuff but also many items that were simply too large for the space. Steve helped immensely with all of these problems. It took several appointments but by the time we decided that he was done, the difference was remarkable! Steve from Creative Space Organizing & Design is amazing and I cannot recommend him highly enough! A friend referred him enthusiastically after he had successfully helped get her father organized to move out of the home he had lived in for decades. After he came over and touched stuff ( I had not purchased anything new) my friend came over and said "Why wasn't it like this before?" It looked great. A few purchases in, it looked fabulous. Steve Adams came several times to help with organizing our apartment. We downsized from 3800 Sq feet to just under 1300. I can put things away. I just cannot organize closets and drawers and kitchen counter tops in the first place. Steve is a wizard at this! I ordered an armoire just to house all of my small appliances and extra stuff( large kitchen aid mixer, food processor, juicer, etc) and per my request, he was here when it was delivered. He also found other things to go in there and I regained my valuable counter top real estate space. He organized my junk drawers and a month later they are still great. We also did recipe books and more paper work My vanity area was a night mare. My husband thought it looked like a pirates treasure box with all of my jewelry hanging out from it. After Steve was done I found all of my jewelry that had fallen to the bottom of my ocean. It was like a party and I now had all of my favorite pieces. He even helped with some pictures and placement. In the kitchen cabinets he found space to have my every day dishes organized and we were even able to fit my mother's china that I had inherited in there so that I can use this set easily. Before it was difficult to get to the china set and basically I did not use the good china for any of the holidays last year. I now not only can use them but I see them when I open the cupboard. For this I am thankful. My husband and I have very organized clothes closets. This is really wonderful to see and get to everything now. He had his trusty labeler and put it all together like magic. I love my closet now!!! It makes sense and we did get rid of things. I have lots of candles and candle holders. They were stored everywhere. Steve helped me ferret them out and now they are in one place. I have a clear accounting of where they are stored and I can use them easier. This may sound small but If you have something you love then they could end up in all sorts of places By utilizing Steve's services, I can focus on other things like work, vacations, dieting and physical fitness. I had planned to take a stay cation on my own. I would have wasted 40 hours of my paid time off and I would not have had the results that I had with Steve. I sleep better knowing my home is organized. I spend less time looking for things and I am confident when people come over that they will not open a cabinet and have items jump out at them. Steve even went out to my 50 foot balcony and helped with plant and furniture placement. Things like this increased the comfort and beauty of my space.I loved my apartment when I first saw it but then making your things work in a smaller space than what I previous had took Steve's acumen and talent. The 3 hour increments were great. We got a lot done and he worked fast. Even though my husband did not want to do anything with his part of the bedroom, Steve reeled him in and we got it done. I hired Steve to assist me in sorting and organizing my middle bedroom (which had fast become my over run storage room) in my home. I am a first time home buyer and was under a lot of pressure dealing with last minute problems with the escrow closing, which pushed my date to move back. Therefore, I had to get a lot of work done on my house in a very short time before the move and did not have the luxury of testing paint colors and kicking back to review before painting. I had to hit the ground running. I sought Steve's help with color consulting for all the colors in my house. I told him the experience I wanted in each room and we collaborated on looking at the colors. Steve made the experience easy and fun and I'm not sure how I knew at the time, but I felt like I could trust his insights on color and color relationships. I'm normally good with color but was going through a lot of self doubt due to stress and fear of making a mistake which would cost me in a few different ways. Steve met with me twice because he felt it was important to see the colors in the space (and he was right!) before buying the paint. Reviewing the paint samples in the house made me want to completely change the idea of one of the rooms. Steve did not try to talk me out of it, but worked with me to discover the exact mood I wanted to create. He was consistently professional, decisive, and fun! I asked a few side questions about whether I should keep or pitch this or that thing and he was very helpful, provided reasons, and encouraged me to let go of some things (that is difficult for me!), while being very respectful of me. Organizing whirlwind! We just moved into Oakland and into a very small house with a small, crafty kitchen with an unusual layout. Steve works non-stop, efficiently and is simply fun to work with and get through anything. I started out with a 3 hour test run and he did not stop for a second. Then a 6 hour session and it seemed like my entire garage was taken outside, re-organized and then put back in order almost to the minute. I hired Steve to help me with organizing pretty much every room in my house - a project that I've been putting off for a long time. He jumped in and helped me initially organize my storage shed which I hadn't been able to get into. It is now accessible and I can walk into it and see all that I have and I know where everything is. I got rid of 2 carloads of bedding and other items I no longer needed. Next we moved onto my bedroom where I purged almost two-thirds of my closet. I previously hadn't been able to get into the closet due to shoes and other items on the floor. We pulled everything out, made decisions on what to keep and donated my previous work clothes to Wardrobe for Opportunity, benefitting underprivileged women. I had Steve come over and take a look at my son's room so that he could provide me so help on posters for the walls and carpet ideas. He told me what he thought it would cost and I paid him upfront. What a MISTAKE! I should have had him bill me once all the work was done to my satisfaction. He sent me the links to various stores which was fine and asked if I needed more help he had time left over from the money I had already paid him. I didn't need any additional help so I asked that he refund me the amount left over. He then told me "the contract was for 2 hours and he did not offer refunds". He and I did not have a contract and initially it was no problem to send me a refund for unused time. Not very trust worthy. read more
