Lily worked with us on a big project that spanned multiple rooms in our house. She was really organized with laying out on paper all the things that were going to have to happen before we dove in. When i've tried to declutter on my own in the past, my closet will look great for awhile, or my pantry will stay organized for a few weeks, but then chaos has always crept back in. Lily had us work with a more global approach, like gather all the bags in the house or gather all the towels at once. It was a mix of surprise, overwhelm, sentimental emotions, and a feeling of shedding or restarting which felt good. She really talked us through how to decide what to keep and what to donate or trash without judgement. And listened to our ridiculous stories and laughed and cried with us as we made it through each part of the project. Most of the systems she helped us implement are still in place now and feel sustainable, and I know more about how to approach any new clutter that tends to build up. Lily is fantastic at what she does! My parents sold the 4 bedroom home they lived in for 25 years and had to incorporate all they kept into an already lived in substantially smaller retirement home. Their goal was to deal with everything and not put a bunch of useless stuff into storage. In 5 days Lily worked on site to declutter a range from everyday items to a garage full of things that had been stuffed into an attic, dating back to moves that happened in the 80s. Lily was absolutely amazing. I have tried many times to discard things and reorganize, but never my whole home all at once. Within 4-5 days she helped me do it all. She created a supportive space and incorporated a spiritual component which was essential for me. There were times where we came across items that had a lot of sentimental value. She never rushed me. She gave me time and space to sit with the item and determine if it and was important to keep. This is not an easy process. It is tiring and emotional but she motivates you and is beyond kind. She noticed when I was becoming overwhelmed. At those times, she would have us take a break and get a snack or lunch. As we started back into the process, she would lead a short guided meditation that ended with reminding me of my intentions.
