Danielle & her crew (Maisy, Courtney, & Laura) did a fantastic job of coming to my rescue when I needed my garage decluttered on short notice. We plan to install an elevator/lift in our home. It will start in the garage and ascend to the living room. I've always had floor-to-ceiling industrial shelving units lining the perimeter of the garage and they stored a tremendous amount of stuff. But now, we needed to remove 3 shelving units (15 shelves) to make room for the elevator, which meant a drastic reduction in what we owned. We've lived here for 40 years, though and I was excited to reduce what was stored there. I needed everything done fast, so I hired Danielle & team to help me with the process. This is what a team of three (plus me) accomplished in five hours! We also hired a hauler to take things to the dump and we donated a significant amount of valuable items to charity. It was a fabulous, quick-paced experience. I loved every minute of it.

I rarely write reviews--whether good or bad--unless the service is so impactful that I cannot keep silent, as I feel deceived. Miss Clutter Organizing "earned" that distinction on May 13, and their poor work is still influencing me as I write this on moving day, May 18. My husband and I hired the company to organize a single "clothing room" before our move. The instructions were clear: pull every garment from drawers and closets, sort by type, and leave neat piles ready for boxing. Danielle, the owner, quoted just under a thousand dollars for two organizers--Nora and Anne-Marie--to work for six hours. I accepted the price because I thought their expertise would give us peace of mind during an already hectic week. And I had to work in the living room, typing restlessly. From 9:00 to 10:40 a.m., the organizers hung shirts, refolded jeans, and chatted about a friend named Ellie. Then, they wasted nearly twenty minutes moving their car instead of using the free guest spaces. Lunch was at noon, a forty-minute break that turned out to be billable time. By early afternoon, I noticed an unopened closet (which is THE ONLY CLOSET in the room) in the eight-by-ten room. "Oh, we didn't know there was more!" they said, claiming their boss had told them simply to "put clothes in boxes." Boxes, mind you, that weren't even on-site yet. Why did they not confirm this again? No. Why did they not listen to my instructions in the first place? My husband even made a joke by saying "my wife (me) is the boss and there are her clothes. So follow what she says." "Every garment from the drawers and closets has to be out to categorize." I still do not know what made them misunderstand this one clear sentence. Their lack of communication and disqualification made me doubt their business's identity. When professionals encounter confusion, they pause, clarify, and adjust. Instead, I received courteous nods and the refrain "Now I understand," even as evidence mounted that they didn't grasp the task at hand. Halfway through the session, I abandoned the clothing project (THE PRIMARY REASON I HIRED THEM) altogether and redirected them to sorting stationery and chargers--tasks simple enough to salvage whatever time was left. The entire experience lingers to create unsettling introspection: Was my English suddenly failing me? (Unlikely, considering I teach in English every day.) Despite their friendly demeanor, their sluggishness and lack of initiative made me feel like I was overseeing hobbyists rather than professionals. At their rates, I expected a strategic plan and one output--Clothes Organization; instead, I felt as if I were supervising hobbyists. Because large sections of the job were left unfinished, I spent my moving day redoing work I had already paid for. Furthermore, the quote never mentioned that lunch breaks were billable. Nor was it clear that overtime depended on the organizers' personal schedules ("I have to pick up my kids"). WHY DOES THIS MATTER? This hidden fee gives significant advantages to their service over others when customers shop around to compare the service. So here I am, on the very morning when the movers are carrying boxes out the door, redoing work I thought I had paid US$1000 for professionals to complete. For nearly a thousand dollars, I received an unfinished clothing sort, added stress, and the lesson that "professional organizer" can sometimes mean "extra pair of hands that I have to direct." If I am desperate for this service to save time and make a living, I will challenge the cost vigorously. Ergo, If you're willing to supervise every minute and provide detailed instructions repeatedly, Miss Clutter might suffice. However, if you expect a team to assess a space, develop a strategy, and leave it genuinely organized, I suggest looking elsewhere. I hope my experience spares someone else from the time, money, and frustration I faced.

This was for a one-way move from the Bay Area to Nevada, about a 4+ hour drive. Cost: reasonable and better than some other companies which wanted much much more. Fixed price based on what I described we had to move. I conferred w Nancy via phone, text, email. 4% fee if credit card is used. $200 deposit, can pay by cash/check/Venmo or Zelle. I used a cash app. There's no written contract. Moving day: Last month: movers Bao & Deng, don't speak English but seemed to understand us. Owner/supervisor Nancy came to out house to see, a surprise! Their moving truck was clean. Moved items from house and storage facility. They padded and plastic wrapped bigger items like sofa, dresser, desk, etc. They are efficient and know their stuff - what would've taken me and my family 3-4 hours to move they finished in 30 minutes! Nothing broken, nothing damaged. Payment: $200 cash tip each. $2,100 final payment via Cash App. Reliable, efficient movers, would use them again!

I asked why when fuel is not being consumed while loading / unloading. The answer that is what we do. Wow, that is strange to charge $13.00 per hour for a truck not using fuel. Additional there is a min 30 min travel time charge which would be an additional $65 for this move. Not using them! This also appears to be illegal in California "Unfair Competition Law (UCL): Charging for a service not rendered (like fuel not used) can be argued as "unfair or deceptive" under California Business and Professions Code § 17200, especially if the surcharge is used as a hidden profit center rather than a cost recovery tool." Below is a reply and here is my response: The information about the fuel fee was presented to be based on a percentage of the total move time. Not your actual cost, which I would have been okay with. I'm not asking for anything to be waived, just transparency. Your remarks about your family are completely out of line. It's clear you want to change the subject from your questionable practice and make this personal. It is not personal. I don't know you other than how you have presented your business here. Very Questionably. I see you removed your statements about your family business. I provided the law that it appears you are not following in a private message. BEST MOVE EVER!…read more BOTTOM LINE: No unhappy surprises and one rather large happy surprise at the end. Moses was the ONLY service listed on Angi So I also checked Yelp. Uniformly high ratings there. I contacted three other movers. Moses was the ONLY one who showed up. Moses himself, the owner. While his rate seemed high at first compared to some lower estimates, the "cut-rate guys" weren't willing to take the time to look at my actual place, Moses' price was at least on a Not To Exceed maximum basis, I decided to accept it since it was all-inclusive for a crew of four and no add-ons.. For example, others charge extra for things like wardrobe boxes, art packing, and the drill of getting the No Parking signs in place. The last thing I wanted to hassle with, standing in line at some City Hall office. Moses was true to his word. He sent four energetic, attentive and careful men who did not so much as crack a wine glass in the process. Each one was unfailingly professional and proud of caring for our possessions. At the end of the day, a HAPPY SURPRISE. The actual price I paid was approximately a third lower than his not to exceed amount, which I would've been happy with. anyway. Thank you, Moses & Company!
