I do not recommend this business to anyone and will outline the issues. 1) They are hardly open and specific classes times may impact your ability to use the groupon. 2) The technology they use is more annoying than helpful. They are still in full blown Covid (or using it as an excuse for everything) and therefore every step needs to be scheduled using the horrible solution. 3) Way overpriced. To paint my ugly thrown bowl cost, me more than if I bought an awesome piece at the normal glazing place I go too. I think when you have already paid for the clay the glazing should be less. 4) The studio is a MESS. It's cluttered and disorganized. 5) They have limited stock, so you must ask others to take the colors etc. 6) No one answers a phone. 7) No one answers Chats 8) Picking up is a nightmare as to figure out when they are open you must view the individual class times to see a complete schedule of hours, they are open. (Other places have a specific FAQ that makes this much easier). If you live close, have a super flexible schedule, and are really laid back then go for it. I thought the clay throwing class was fun. But everyone else.... if you really want to do this, then leave with your unheated piece and call it a day! read more

My daughter always does scribbling and drawing since she was 3.. I was looking for a right place to start and improvise her art skills, I am lucky that I landed at creative hands studio..she has been going to art class here for more than 3 months and I can visibly see her gaining more perfection in whatever coloring or painting she does. Btw, she is only 4 years old. The teacher is great with kids and my daughter would always happily get ready for her art class every time.. Had a wonderful experience learning acrylic pouring and pottery making. Our teacher Grishm was very nice and informative on how to work with the materials. Having never done an acrylic pouring, I was pretty thrilled with the nice abstract art I made. The clay pot also turned out to be pretty nice, all thanks to the upbeat and patient nature of the instructor. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone interested in painting or pottery making, especially the beginners! read more

My daughter has been attending classes at this art studio for around 2 years now and she loves it! She started as a beginner and now I can tell how she improved with the help of the teachers there! They are so friendly and nice. I like this studio as well because they offer so many art activities for the whole family and friends (resin, pottery making and painting, canvas painting etc...). Also, if you are looking for ideas to celebrate your kids' birthdays, you should consider them. They offer a variety of birthday packages you can pick from (in person or virtual). Disclaimer: This isn't a review on the pottery classes themselves since we opted not do ours. This review is for their lack of professional customer service, for the man who was at the front desk, checking us in & who allegedly encouraged another customer to PM me on YELP after my original review. I bought a class for 2 on Groupon for my dad's b-day. We both work & don't get to spend quality time together. I thought it'd be a good idea to try something new. A month before class, I emailed them asking about the booking process. When registering online, I made the mistake of registering for only one person (to be honest, I should have read more carefully. I assumed that the "qty" meant for the "qty" of tickets you have for a class for two, but it does say that "qty" means for the amount of seats you will use for the class). This was my fault. I will not blame their system since it DOES clearly state what was meant by "qty". However, I'm appalled by how our situation was handled. Before heading up, I called to confirm our class. In the voicemail, I clearly stated that both my dad & I were coming up for a class for two and wanted to make sure things were still good before we made the 2.5-hr. drive up. I received a call back from a lady who asked me for my name & said that we were good to go. She sounded nice & we were excited for the class. But when I was checking-in, the guy who was working the front desk automatically looked at me like I was stupid when I showed him my Groupon ticket. He said, "that Groupon is different, you only signed up for one" & mentioned how there were limited seats in the class. Not once (until the end) did he mention that there was a way to make things work. He waited until the conversation was dragged out & both my dad and I were mad before saying that he could fix things. What could've been fixed with a simple "Oh, you only signed up for one class online. But here, I can help you," instead of making us look stupid. I told him about my emails & the phone call with the lady earlier. When he saw us get annoyed with how much explaining we had to do, he kept telling us to "calm down" in front of everyone & also kept asking to explain how I signed-up. By the way, as a business owner, especially if you already saw that I bought a class for two, you shouldn't make it more difficult for your customers. My dad (who has high-blood pressure) told him "your system should be easier to use". We were both visibly upset since we drove 2.5 hrs. for the class & still being questioned even after calling. The man at the front desk snapped back "it is really easy to use", so condescendingly. My dad doesn't speak English that well so it triggered me when he degraded him like that in front of everyone. Then, he looked at me & made a snarky remark about how the lady who checked in before me "registered online correctly." I don't know what point he was trying to make by saying that, but anyone with emotional intelligence could tell how rude he was being. We were paying for the class, not begging for it. He kept telling us to "calm down" & made it seem like we were being monsters for being upset at how he was treating us. My dad and I left w/o asking for our money back & my dad ended up cussing at the guy because of how much of our time he wasted. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...I wrote a bad review last night & had to take it down because someone who was in the same room as us when this situation happened PRIVATE MESSAGED ME saying how we "disrupted the class w/ our bad mood" & how I "didn't let the man speak" and "everyone in the room agreed that the system was easy to use". I blocked that person & removed my review because I was scared for stating MY OWN PERSONAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I let this situation bother me up to today because I do not get petty easily. I looked into it again & just spoke to a fellow reviewer who was in that room & she said that she overheard the owner talk badly about us after we left & told me that the owner even asked the girl (who PM'd me) to write something about my review. They even said that after we left, no one in the class was talking about my dad & I other than the owner and the 2 girls who were the ones that made their experience uncomfortable. I felt so much anxiety from this situation & got scared. I feel bad for being mad at the nice lady on the phone (poor woman had to hear our complaints post-visit), but I feel relief today after hearing someone else's point of view from that day. The man called us back after, asking to make things work, we just hung up because it didn't come across genuine, he was only doing it in front of the other customers. I didn't know he talked about us after we left & now I finally realized why some random lady messaged me. It was scary & unprofessional. Now I'm using a different username, hopefully to get more privacy as a customer and reviewer. read more

Went there through groupon. What a shabby experience! If I could give a rating lesser than this I would gladly do so and I am sure I am never going back there again. Once I mentioned the groupon, the gentleman there mentioned i had to pay sales tax. I said ok I'll pay. Then again after I selected the glazes he said again I have to pay sales tax twice. That is so freaking irritating! Didnt I say I'll pay? How many times will you mention it? We dont paint and dash! He was so condescending while I chose the glazes when I said my 7 year is a beginner and we'll stick to basics. He said it's not about beginner, anybody can do anything. He said it so rudely that it sounded extremely petty. Then came the doling out of glazes. He was so frugal and I had to wait 10 minutes when my glaze ran out and he was assisting some other people. Very very cheap money- minded merchant. Even my 7 year old daughter said that the service was terrible! Groupon or non-groupon, you treat a customer well, that customer will come back. If you treat the customer terribly, she will not come back even if you ask her to come for free. That's essentially how I feel about this business. read more

I have an artistic background and see that the instructor is very focused on educating the students in fundamentals such as using background & foreground, shading, and one-point perspective. She can work with students of various skill levels and I believe you will be impressed by the work your child brings home. We intend to continue having our daughter take lessons and plan to sign up our son as well when he comes of age. My daughter attended an art class at the local library which was hosted by Dr. Shah from the Creative Hands Art School. She was fantastic at encouraging the children to get creative with no "right or wrong" expectations. She made art fun and my daughter still has the canvas painting she created at the class on her bedroom wall a year later. We will definitely be considering further classes at this school. read more

My 2 9yo boys did all day, summer day camp here for 1.5 weeks. They did acrylic paint on canvas, scratch art, portrait drawing, pressed flowers, jewelry and pottery. I was very impressed with the creativity and quality of the work they brought home. Although it would be nice if there was more room for them to run around and play during breaks, it was overall a great experience and so convenient off of Bothell Everett Hwy!
