He was given a 5k shirt...um...just saying someone running a HALF MARATHON would like a shirt saying that, not 5k. Then, during the race they had a kids' dash. That too was poorly organized. They did little kids and big kids together. Some little ones got trampled and the course ran in front of all the vendor booths so anyone trying to visit the vendors was immediately in the way. So now after the race they screwed it up again. He looks up his bib number on the site - nope, some woman is listed under his number and his name isn't listed anywhere. Now at the event the ladies handing out shirts insisted that if I were to email Brian my husband would get his correct shirt. I did so ON SITE via my BlackBerry. I just now (two months later) received a response that he cannot get his shirt from this year, but two years ago. WTF?? Seriously?? UGH!

This free museum is filled with old fire trucks dating back to an 1834 hand pumper. A must see for young and old, and each fire truck has a print out, which is free, for one to take home and explains all about the particular vehicle.... I was so impressed. My…read morekids are very developmentally typical four year olds - enthusiastic, love making new friends, love trying new things, love helping in the kitchen, AND they still make lots of mistakes because they're FOUR. They have attended several other camps and are in preschool and have thrived in all of those environments. Frog Legs could NOT handle their typical 4 year old behavior. I got the impression that this class is set up more for older kids and they didn't really know how to engage the little ones. I'll also say that at pick up and even drop off every day the teachers seemed strung out and exhausted. My kids mostly reported sitting and coloring all morning and then eating whatever yummy junk food they had made that day. I'm sure they did help out some, but I don't think the class was set up in a way that was engaging. They came home every day totally wired and bouncing off the walls - a huge contrast to other camps they've been to that were better suited to little kids. On the final day of the camp they called me and asked me to pick them up early because they were playing with toys that didn't belong to them - certainly something they should not be doing, but also a developmentally appropriate mistake and a learning opportunity rather than a reason to kick kids out of a camp! Like I said, this camp is not set up for little kids if they can't handle developmentally appropriate mistakes that kids are bound to make. My advice: avoid this place and support some other business that actually cares about nurturing kids and isn't just a cash grab for pre-k parents looking for exciting things for their kids to experience.

We had some bad luck, and it was very hot and sunny - so much so that we decided we needed to move the dinner inside, and Kyro and her team got it all sorted in minutes. Our venue had very strict rules where we would be charged steep fines if everyone (including cleanup) wasn't out by a certain time, and she and her team made sure that everything went to plan.
