Ice cream was OK, but frustrated at the interminable line (10+ minutes) due to a cynical mask policy--the noise from the nitrogen tank, plus people being masked and having to talk through thick plastic meant everything had to be repeated at least once, if not twice, when placing an order. And the lack of indoor seating left us standing on the sidewalk afterwards. And the bathrooms are closed. Not a pleasant experience. All I could think was "This is a convenient way not to have to clean tables and bathrooms at the end of the day." It definitely holds true, the ice cream is very thick and creamy. The ice cream was good but worth $4 at most. We got the animal cookie ice cream. They crush up animal cookies into the ice cream. I liked the mix of crunchy and creamy taste that resulted. Because the ice cream is made fresh it does take a while to get out. They announce your name when it's ready. Okay, I'm going to admit that when I first tried this place, I didn't think it was anything special. I've had nitrogen ice cream in California and this place didn't "wow" me right off the bat, but I think you just have to really get the /ice cream/, instead of over-saturating it with toppings and chunks that take away from it's creaminess. Creamistry is known for how creamy their ice cream is (lol how many times can I use cream in a sentence...) so if that's not your style, then this probably isn't for you! Choose your base: milk, organic milk, sorbet, coconut milk Then Ice cream flavor. This is what they hit with liquid nitrogen and what your ice cream will taste like all throughout. It is the richest ice cream I've ever had in my life - it is dense and creamy. My boyfriend and I enjoy coming to Creamistry every now and then for a late night dessert. This is the only ice cream shop open nearby past 10pm, which is great!
