I do feel like you pay more for the experience than the ice cream though because you can see how they use the liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream. It's nothing like an ordinary ice cream shop. There are other nitrogen ice cream shops but they are far from where I live. I don't eat ice cream often (about 2-3 times a month) and I prefer quality over quantity. I've had a roller coaster of a ride with Creamistry - starting with a not-so-great experience to a more solid one. Creamistry is a fun liquid nitrogen ice cream shop that is pricier than other ice cream shops but if you can get the right flavor combos down, it can be a solid experience. So the basic concept of Creamistry is liquid nitrogen ice cream with a bevy of flavors. You'll first choose the base (premium to coconut); then the flavor; then the toppings. There are also a few other options like milk/nitroshakes to chocolate shells for you to play around with. So here's what I like: +They do have a FiveStars rewards system which is nice. +I like the premium texture flavor. It is more tough than regular ice cream and doesn't melt nearly as quick. This goes great with certain flavors (like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruity Pebbles) although some flavors make it tough to distinguish like cheesecake oddly enough. They also have a lot of flavors to choose from. +Toppings are either mixed in or put on top depending how you like it and they have a huge variety from creams to fruit to cereal. +Service has been always nice here. The manager is super friendly. Here's what I don't like: +I've tried the coconut base a couple times and haven't had good experiences with either. The coconut flavor is too overpowering. +I think the toppings are way too pricey. $1 for almonds or cream seems strange. +The ice cream itself is fairly pricey as well (about $5 for a single scoop). +Not a lot of seating inside. There's plenty outside but when it rains, run for the car. Creamistry doesn't rank as my all-time favorite ice cream shop but after a few good tries, I think I've been won over by the unique texture and flavor profiles of the shop. After a long time of not going to Creamistry, I returned... and my only regret was not coming back sooner. The price has increased, unfortunately, but the ice cream is as delicious as ever! I really like the Captain Crunch flavor. The ice cream always comes out sooo creamy and so smooth. It doesn't melt quickly either. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program. My boyfriend and I were ready to pay the hefty $6 for one scoop, but I had one free scoop from the rewards program! Other flavors that I really like are cookie butter and fruity pebbles. I was happy that the taro ice cream was more delicious than I remembered but I was shocked to find out it was almost $9! How do you charge $9 for a small ice cream?! The ice cream was very creamy and the toppings were reasonably generous. The ice cream is 4 stars but I'm docking one star for the price. I like this location because there are plenty of seats to sit outside! Inside the store was extremely cold, probably because of the nitrogen they need to use for the ice cream, but I liked that it was still a spacious store with enough tables and seats AND there's enough room to stand or sit outside. There's about 40+ cream/fruit/nut flavors to choose from and a number of mix ins and toppings to choose from. You can also choose premium, organic or non-dairy base ice cream. They also have a preset menu of flavor/mix ins. We chose the Matcha green tea with mochi. The ice cream itself was smooth. You can taste the freshness.
