It was kind of dead inside. One worker in the lounge and one in the kitchen. Food came out very quickly. It definitely didn't taste fresh. It tasted pre-done and then the tortilla was fried fresh. I got the steak chimichanga and there was nothing memorable about it. For $12 lunch, I expected to leave full. Friendly staff. I did have to go to the till to pay. One person in the lounge to seat and wait tables made it longer for her to check on me. All prices in the menu were blackened out so no idea how much things cost. I would not go again read more

I was in there the week before and they did something very unusual. They gave me my bill as a total with no itemization. I found that odd and also thought it was a few dollars more than I estimated, but I just paid it and went about my business. This visit, they did the same thing and again the total looked high so I asked for an itemized receipt which they then gave me. I ordered two tacos, one enchilada and one beer. When I got the bill, sure enough there was a second enchilada on there that I didn't order. I pointed it out to the waiter, expecting a quick and easy resolution as these things sometimes happen. Nope, his "manager" stepped in and said they charged me extra because I asked for grilled chicken instead of shredded chicken in my enchilada. But my bill had a whole extra item on it that I didn't order. Instead of apologizing and correcting my bill, she continued to argue with me. In the end, she corrected the bill but never admitted to their obvious mistake, never even asked me or the server what I actually ordered, and she was rude and condescending throughout the entire conversation. What restaurant has a practice of showing customers the total instead of an itemized bill? None that I know of and the fact that they added something to my bill makes me wonder if this is being done intentionally. Add that to my suspicion that they did the exact same thing the week before, along with the rudeness of the staff is unbelievable. Crazy Mexico's service was wonderful. We sat at the bar for lunch. Chips and salsa were ok. Salsa could use some spice! Burrito Frito Chicken with Pico. The food came out hot and fresh. Sides were the typical rice and beans. This rice was fresh and the beans were great. The rice was not dry like some Mexican spots. We will definitely be back for lunch since the service was so quick! The food was ok but it just did not impress with the rate of service. Things were slow and it did not seem to be that busy. They staff was super nice it was just no one was in any kind of hurry. The chips had an old oil taste that was kind of bitter. I was having breakfast options and she was having lunch. I think her burrito was kind of skimpy for the price. My breakfast was good and it had great seasoning and flavor. Over all it's an okay place with okay food. The place itself was well decorated and had a nice friendly atmosphere. I think maybe it was not the best day for them so I am willing to give it a second try. For now not super impressed with the food. read more

My husband brought this plate home full of the MOST delicious chicken (pollo) tacos. They have $1 tacos on Monday-All Day and when I say just because the tacos are cheap the quality is out of this world. They are FULL of so much flavor and they give great portion sizes. I've been to 3 of the other Crazy Mexico locations and they have all been great, this new locations was very good also. This used to be a Sagebrush steakhouse years ago and has been vacant for quite sometime. The Crazy Mexico Sign on the building is a bit small so you really do not notice this a Mexican restaurant that is open for business when you pass by. They have a menu with plenty to choose from, they even do breakfast. I stopped for an early lunch, the chips and salsa came out immediately, they were ok, not much hype about chips and salsa. I ordered the chori pollo lunch special. The chicken was cooked perfectly topped with a good amount of flavorful chorizo and cheese dip, I asked for some of their homemade red sauce, but what I got here wasn't quite as good as what I got at the other locations, there really wasn't any flavor or much heat to the sauce I was brought. I've always had great food on visits to Crazy Mexico, this one was mo different. Will definitely return. read more

VERY rude and disrespectful servers! We went in as a family of 5 and the servers were slow and their attitude sucks. They don't even earn a star, that's how bad it was for our experience. I don't wanna down talk this restaurant but I do not recommend eating here. read more

the service was atrocious, I was seated and sat there for 40m no service. the waiter came up to us after 30m and asked if we were with the big group that was not even close to us. When we said no she laughed and then asked for our drink order. that was the last time we saw the server before walking out. read more

It has been years since we've eaten at this restaurant but we decided to try it for a couple of family birthday's this evening. The young girl, Tonatzi, that waited on us was apparently very inexperienced. My husband and I were the first to order (we had a party of 10) and we explained at least three times that our ticket would include the two of us, our daughter, and our grandson. We explained at least three times what my grandson wanted to order. She was easily confused and we tried very hard to be patient with her. The NCAA Final 4 was on and we asked if the TV could be turned to the NC State vs Purdue game. After about 15 minutes, my daughter went up to the bar and asked if they could turn the TV to the game. One of the waitresses snapped back at her and gave her a bunch of attitude. All of the staff seemed to have attitudes. Since Tonatzi seemed to be new and unexperienced, they probably shouldn't have had her waiting a table of ten people. When we asked to get our tickets, we had to end up paying our bill three times because she kept messing it up. She had to get the so-called manager for help. She ran our card three times! Forgot to add my daughter and grandson the first two times. While the "manager" was running our card for the third time, there was another worker standing next to Tonatzi and she called my daughter and me putas. My younger daughter speaks Spanish and when she spoke up that she knew what she said, the girl's face was total shock. Our son-in-law is Hispanic so we understood what was being said. When I called back to the restaurant and asked for a manager, this same woman I spoke with at the restaurant said she was the manager of this whole family business. (I recorded the call so have her saying that.) She basically called me a liar and told me the girl did not say that and she had heard her. She was busy running my husband's credit card during this conversation. This is the worst service we've ever had at any restaurant and the worst bunch of service staff we've ever experienced. We'll never set foot in this restaurant again. And besides all that, the food was way overcooked and tasteless. A waste of time and money. We'll stick with other local Mexican restaurants who actually have friendly staff and fresh food. read more

I ate here with a good friend a few weeks ago. Service: It was very fast and friendly. Food served fast and refills & to-go cups ready on the spot. Food: It was your typical Gringo Mexican food. While the salsa had some bit to it, the dishes were bland and tasted like all the other sit down Mexican restaurants in town. (Taco Bell and San Marcos Mexican Restaurant are the except.) Prices: Lunch for two was about $25 with tip and taxes. (Now this was 2 drinks, 1 lunch combo and a larger meal at regular price.) read more

Delightful Mexican restaurant with pleasant staff. Just opened with coupons 15% off entire bill for all dining-in patrons ordering entrees. Total bill at 5pm on a Thursday for 3 adults was only $30 after coupon. Beautiful interior design with a large full bar and open dining areas comprised of booths and tables. Shrimp fajitas contained fresh, large, plump shrimp surrounded by grilled peppers and onions marinated in tasty salsa. Fried chicken burrito contained a large amount of grilled chicken mixed with Pico de Gallo in a large fried flour tortilla accompanied with rice and refried beans. Crazy Pollo was served with a pan seared, crispy chicken breast, butterflied and pounded flat swimming in salsa and cheese sauce, with a side of rice and beans. Each table comes with endless basket of complimentary chips and fresh salsa. This restaurant is a part of a chain and this is their newest location! If you are in Burlington or Gibsonville, you MUST try this place! I am definitely returning! read more

Absolutely terrible. There were about 5 other tables while we were there at lunch time (1:20) on a Sunday. Waited over 40 mins for food before asking a staff member to check on our food. She looks at us, and walks away without so much as a "sure" or "okay" or even "sorry it's taking so long". We watched her continue to walk around doing nothing, not checking with the kitchen. We said something about and they sent someone to explain to us how a fajita skillet will still continue to cook the food. I said the food was burnt on top. This got us nowhere. This place is fabulous! So nice to have an alternative to the other Mexican establishments in the area. The food is so fresh! The seasoning is so authentic and not bland like other local establishments. I had the shrimp tacos, which had plenty of plump juicy shrimp and the seasoning was spot on - not too spicy but just the right amount of heat. My husband had steak rancheros and couldn't stop raving about it. The portions were very generous - we definitely have leftovers. And the chips are super crispy and salsa was so fresh. Awful food and way understaffed. Wait 10 minutes before anyone comes by after being seated. Another 20 minute wait for two tacos. The tacos were nasty. I don't know what wet dog food taste like but these tacos tasted like wet dog food smells. Won't never go back there again. read more
