I was in a desperate need of a California Burrito and I was suggested to come try out Tacos Azteca I'm really glad we came here the food was great and service was super quick we ordered two California burritos with Asada and an order of asada fries If you're getting dessert don't skip on the churro cheesecake it was amazing! Only think I wish was that there was more salsa options but not a deal killer I'd still come back here without question The inside dining area is very nicely decorated with plenty of seating everything was clean just overall a great spot read more

Great food. Friendly service. The only thing I can complain about is wanting more beans and rice with my meal. Otherwise, it was a great place to have a nice lunch with my wife. read more

We made a run to Burlington to pick up barbecue and broasted chicken for dinner from Hursey's, something we do periodically, because both are outstanding! We decided to pop into a couple of taco spots on Huffman Mill Road that had some positive reviews. This spot was our first stop, and we ordered the Quesabirria Tacos ($13). This is a small place, at one end of small strip shopping area. The store front is rather plain, and while the inside is some of the same, and it is not built for comfort, it is bright and clean with plenty of natural light. The salsa here packs some nice heat, more than most in fact! This was a good start. The tacos were out rather quickly. We were surprised that there were only 3 tacos, the standard for most spots is 4, so at 3 for $13 this was not a real value item - so we each had 1 1/2 tacos. As to the tacos, they were tasty but not especially well filled, and a lot of what was in the filling was cheese and those awful red onions. The tortillas are made in house and were excellent. Glad we stopped in, but would not revisit, not a very good value in what we had. The 3 rating is mainly for the salsa and the tortillas. read more

I try different Mexican restaurants mainly for the tacos, and I must say these were the best so far!! The meat inside the tacos were fulfilling! Usually when I go to get tacos I have to usually order 4/5 to get full and it took only two! The presentation was great. The server was polite and she did well, we sat down inside to eat, it was nice and clean tables were clean as well as the floor which is a big thing, although tacos may be a simple order for some but for a taco lover it's everything so thank you for a great first time experience, we will be back!! read more

This is the best Mexican food in Burlington. The tacos are 10/10, the chori pollo is next level, and even the salsa is a game changer. I love Tacos Azteca read more

Tacos Azteca - Quesabirria, Pollo Azteca, Mexican Street corn - Tacos Near Me - Burlington, North Carolina

Definitely a must!! It's a cute little food place right in front of Starbucks on Huffman rd. This Mexican restaurant is more authentic then others I've been to in this area. Love the artwork inside was beautiful unfortunately didn't get any pictures. Food was 5 star, service was amazingly only bad thing I can say is the hot chocolate was not good, it tasted oily and barely any chocolate. But the tres leche cake was LIFE! So good didn't even get a picture. Lol read more

Great local Burlington spot for tacos. The free chips and salsa offered upon arrival was very good. The brailia taco pizza was the star of the show. Arrive hungry, leave stuffed with leftover for later read more

Today was our first time trying this restaurant and we were very happy with our food! The restaurant was small inside with nice paintings on the wall and alot of natural light. We were able to seat ourselves and got served with complimentary chips and salsa shortly after sitting down. Our waitress was welcoming and brought our food out quickly. The chips were warm and the salsa was delicious! We decided to get the quesabirria along with steak and chicken tacos. The quesabirria was really flavorful and only $11! The tacos came in an order of three with two different spicy salsas to go along with the food. The steak/ chicken tacos (order consists of 4 tacos) were served with sautéed onions alongside. Even though the birria was great I do wish there was a little more meat in each taco as they were mostly cheese and onions instead. The other tacos were good as well and seemed to be more protein packed! Overall our food was very good and we would definitely return here! read more

Great place! This is a great spot for authentic Mexican food. The tortillas on the tacos are handmade and the guacamole & salsa are freshly made. The aguas frescas are huge and delicious. The agua de Fresa tasted unnatural but the agua de tamarindo was definitely natural. Birria tacos, asada tacos, tripas tacos and al pastor tacos etc. the cubana torta was very yummy! I definitely would return. The staff seemed friendly and answered all our questions respectfully. read more

I am Mexican and from Texas so I was looking for a good place to frequent while in the area. I thought this place was going to be good but I was highly disappointed! The place looks like it will offer good Mexican food but the looks is all you get. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered corn in a cup, tacos de asada, tacos de lengua, and fish tacos to have a variety to try. The fish tacos seemed to be store bought frozen fish with a ton of red onion that was thrown in a tortilla, the lengua had huge chuncha of meat that looked and tasted like it wasn't seasoned, and even the asada tacos (which I think are hard to get wrong) we're extremely bland! The corn was rubbery and tasted like it came directly out of a Can and nothing tasted fresh. I had to end up throwing it all away. I felt like it was a waste of my money. The place is cute and the music is loud and the people working there are extremely friendly and helpful but the food is a terrible rendition of anything resembling Mexican food. So, go at your own risk. Try them out once and see for yourself, you might like it. I, myself, don't recommend it. I forgot to even take pictures before I threw the food out. The food is the star of the show at this authentic Mexican restaurant. I absolutely love their beans, and their house-made salsa features roasted tomatoes and the perfect amount of spice. The hot salsa is delicioso, too! You'll leave with a full belly. Definitely the best Mexican food in the area. read more

We are from California ( the bay ) and it's been so hard finding authentic good tacos and burritos, we just moved to Burlington from Raleigh and I door dashed tacos, one of each meat choice, the "California" burrito and tres leches cake...overall we were pretty pleased with the the flavors, the cake was BOMB! Only complaint was the portion size and the beans need a little more salt, definitely will be going back and recommend. read more

The food was great and the service was even better the music was great and I wold def recommend it to anyone

Solid, well-executed, and unpretentious Mexican restaurant in Burlington. It has all the traditional standards and some Mexican dishes you do not find typically at a Tex-Mex place. The service is low-key while still being attentive and friendly. It is not fancy, but for a quick fix, it fits the bill quite nicely. read more

This place is amazing! The best tortas and tacos I've had! Definitely worth the price and visit.

Tacos Aztecs had delicious tacos, I was I'll be a return customer! Great price and fast service!

Definitely legit. Some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. Stopped by here on a whim and were happily surprised.

Absolutely delicious! The guacamole is the best in town. Server was friendly and the menu offered something for everyone.

my friend went in to get a torta & ate half when he realized there was barely any steak in the torta. now how can you forget to put steak on a torta, a torta is big not to mention not cheap. for y'all to give him barely 10 pieces of steak is unacceptable. i would give it 0 stars outta five but it won't let me. read more
