Their current offering is to-go only, and looks like during normal time, they have limited seating for dine-in (about 15-20 seats). I appreciated the classic vibe as soon as I walked in. There's a jukebox and a few arcade games to kill the time. Only had a raspa on this visit, but based on the fresh ingredients, smell, and authenticity of the Mexican products and decor, I'll definitely be back soon for some food off the menu. This place is quite popular. When I went in for lunch, it was very crowded inside. The service is fast, and the staff is friendly. They prepare food fairly quickly. I ordered a burrito for lunch, but it wasn't the best I've had--just average in taste. I've definitely had better. One downside is that the ventilation doesn't work well, so there's an unpleasant kitchen smell inside. Expected a bit of pizazz after becoming a chamoy addict, Crazy Fruits missed that mark. I ordered the Mangonada and was saddened by how sour the mango was. You can clearly tell the mangos weren't ready to be diced and tossed as what is advertised as a "snow cone". We came and got 2 mangonadas, a fruit cup, and a raspado. The raspado was fine, can't really mess that up. The fruit cup, was not great. Fruit was very old and you could tell it didn't taste fresh. As far as the mangonadas go, they tasted like soap. Could've been from when they clean the blenders but when we tried both they tasted like soap. When we went back in to replace the mangonada she mentioned how both came from the same batch, but she did remake it. Overall for my first time experience, I was not pleased. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Went in, spoke in English to the lady at the register and told her I wanted two 16 oz cups of fruit. She agreed happily in English and proceeded to charge me $19.23. Right as I paid, she proceeded to turn around and tell the ladies making my order what I wanted, and proudly announced, "she wants two 16 oz's, but I charged her for two 24 oz's!!" in Spanish. I speak Spanish fluently. When I told her I understood what she said and that I wanted to be charged the correct amount for what I was getting, she tried to gaslight me and make me feel stupid. I ended up getting my money back because she knew she was wrong, but she didn't apologize for trying to overcharge me simply because she thought I didn't speak Spanish and wouldn't notice. Just tried place an order at crazy fruits for the second time through Uber eats. I placed the order around 1 pm for delivery at 2:30. At 2:31 pm I get a notification that the order was canceled. No explanation or anything for the canceled order, just a canceled order. Of course I ordered this in advance expecting my lunch to arrive on time, and now I have missed the lunch window for many businesses. This is completely unacceptable. Also tried placing an order there through Uber eats last week in the evening, and the same thing happened, 45 minutes later when the food should have been arriving at my home, I got a notice that the restaurant did not accept the order, and so again, it being near the end of the evening around 10:00 pm when the cancelation came through, was SOL to still have time to go some place else to eat. Guess I won't ever be a patron of this location as it's physical location makes it difficult to get in and out of, and it's online service is complete and utter sh*t read more

On a hot summer day, this place will be popping with customers. I've had mangonadas in San Antonio.. And they were amaze balls good. Hoping to recreate that feel, we came in search for a replacement in Austin. While the great itself was good, it wasn't great. The used chunky, hard ice here, and what I had before was more of a sorbet texture. If my ice would melt, it would be more slushiness than anything else.. But you still can't mistake the great mango flavor with the tamarindo flavoring. I also got the corn cup, which was very yummy. Was disappointed with the strawberry yogurt/cream cup since the cream tasted like strawberry nestle quick. There's a few mexican yogurt/fruit shops in North Austin that are much more natural flavors. The fresh fruit with salt was tasty, but I'm from San Antonio and grew up with salty/sweet/tamarind fruit combos. Not for everyone. Also tried the french fries with fried hotdogs on it. I do wish they had the white corn instead of the yellow corn for the "esquites" which is prepared with salt, lime chili. It would be more authentic.
