I firmly believe if you only sell Wings, you should be dabbling in sauce making and rub making. I do wish there was a spicier buffalo sauce because none of the wings have heat. The lemon pepper rub was good and I think they should put more rubs on the menu. Even Cajun would be nice and I swear they used to have that, but it was not listed on the menu that I found. It can be a little hard to find their menu, best way to do is probably using a delivery app. I always forget that they do not take credit card. They do take Venmo and Cash app, which is good, but it would be more convenient if they were to adopt to taking credit cards even if it meant paying a three or 4% additional fee per item just to have that option. First impression was that the wings looked a little dry and small (all 10 fit without an issue in the styrofoam to go mall food containers) but I did like that they were drenched in sauce. However, I was expecting the honey garlic to be darker because of the honey, but the sweetness seemed like it came from a corn syrup type substance as it was clear. The spicy honey lemon pepper did not taste at all like any of those flavors, but it was still good. The wings were dry, but crispy. Everything I've had has been fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the kitchen seems to have that part figured out without making a big production of it. The menu has enough variety that you can come in with different appetites and still find something you want, but it doesn't feel like one of those places with a menu the size of a small novel where you need twenty minutes just to decide what you're looking at. The beer selection is another reason I enjoy Chomp. There's enough variety to make choosing a beer part of the experience rather than simply grabbing whatever happens to be on tap. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is increasingly something I notice because restaurant prices have a funny way of creeping upward when you're not paying attention. The location is another part of the appeal. Chomp sits in a great little part of Providence where you can easily make an evening out of being in the neighborhood.
