Dinner and my daughter asked for shrimp so after a google search we ended up here. It's located on the parking lot of H-E-B along side other restaurants. The place is spacious, well lite and you can smell the aromas from the kitchen. I reviewed the menu and the waiter made sure to go over everything in detail. I settled on shrimp , fish and the beans. The boiled shrimp came out first and I'll say it was pathetic. A half pound in their eyes is 7 shrimp, and because I eat with my daughter and she was anxious to eat them I didn't cause a fuss. In reality though it was a waste and a slap in my face. Then the waiter brought my fish solo , no sides , said they'll be another 5 min. I asked him to take it back and bring all of it together but that seemed to throw off his computing process and he just looked confused. 10 min later the sides show up. The flavor of everything wasn't bad but service was shaky. Overall it's an ok spot that I'd order fried food from but never boiled as the pricing and portions are a joke for my tastes. read more

The place was crowded when we arrived but we got seated quickly! The good is enjoyable. Appreciate that they have other offerings as the kids don't enjoy seafood as much as my husband and I. staff asked us regularly if we needed anything and was prompt to provide service. Where do we begin?! Atmosphere was great, our waitress provided great recommendations and was very attentive. Ordered the crawfish flatbread and charbroiled oysters that were so good. The best part was the crawfish. Great flavor, size and not dry. Had the beignets and ice cream which was a perfect ending. I was traveling on business and love poboys so I got carry out. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy with Cajun fries, a side order of the garlic noodles and an order of the Cajun fried rice with crawfish. The food was amazing. The poboy was probably the messiest poboy I've ever had because it was so loaded with shrimp. The fries were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend both. The garlic noodles and Cajun fried rice rounded things out perfect and was enough for a couple meals. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again. read more

I love this place, I used to go to your restaurant on Bellaire (China town). Now you are so close to me that maybe a good thing depending on who you ask. The staff here is friendly and engaging. The menu is all good except the MP items (market price). I will stay clear because your next to HEB and I get can those item for less. Yes, crawfish cafe has the flavor, but for that MP, I will do my own the pop-pop (Dan-O's reference). Yay for Crawfish Cafe popping up all over Houston and the burbs! Before crawfish season comes to an end, we had to get our fix, so we saw that they just opened one of their newest locations in Cypress! This location is big, clean, has lots of parking, and is conveniently located in a new strip center right off of 290. Be prepared for a long wait during peak hours since it is still new, (especially during the season for sure), but I do suggest joining the waitlist before you head over! Service was very friendly and attentive. Crawfish Cafe still remains my favorite spot for Asian style crawfish in Houston. The Grail (mix of garlic butter/Thai Basil) is our favorite, the flavor is so good, and you can adjust to your desired spice level. Cajun fries, seafood fried rice are delicious, and their combo platters with shrimp or catfish are also really good and all very filling with the portions! As you can tell, we have been to Crawfish Cafe a lot, but for good reason you surely will not be disappointed! read more

This is the best crawfish I've ever had, and I use to travel all over the US for work and it is by far the best. The beer I ordered was a little warm, but they were very busy so it may not have had enough to cool down. We did have a little wait to be seated, but I would have waited longer, the food is worth it!! Staff is super nice. Once you order your food it comes out quick, hot & correct. They had a pretty good kids menu for my 1 yr old. They had a Highchair for her to sit as well, which I just didn't realize how important that was until I was eating crawfish and my hands were messy so I needed her secured into her own seat. Just received my order...and there's clearly an issue with the restaurant receiving to-go orders. As I saw another patron left a review of having an issue as well. I walked in and placed my order. The hostess was pleasant and assisted me with answering my questions. She asked for MY telephone number which I provided MY information. And she confirmed MY name. As the story progresses you'll see why I emphasized MY... I ordered the crawfish cheese bread, salt and pepper headless shrimp, smack sauce, and combo 2. The hostess indicated I would receive a text when my order was ready. I sat and waited.... When my order was ready, she brought me my food. I never received a text. My best friend texts me and says someone from crawfish cafe cypress location placed an order under her number and the order is ready.... I told her I'm at the restaurant and just received the order I placed. Before my response to her, she calls the restaurant to see what's going on.... The hostess is explaining that she can confirm that there was no fraudulent activity as I paid with my card physically at the restaurant. My bestie then conferences me into the call and we are speaking to the manager and explaining there is some incorrect information on the back end that needs to be fixed on their side.... Example being, her telephone number is also linked to my account apparently. Thankfully, the stars were aligned in this case since 1) I walked in, placed my order and waited and 2) it was someone I knew who received the information of my order status as someone can easily come and pick up an order they did not place or pay for... This is why this needs to be corrected ASAP! Update: my bestie just received a text from the automated system thanking ANDREA for choosing Crawfish Cafe and asking to complete a survey. Meanwhile, her name is ASHLEY and she never ordered anything but I am still waiting on the communication to inform me that my food is ready... I've only been to the crawfish cafe located in Bellaire, but the service at this location in Cypress exceeds the Bellaire location. Jimmy was our waiter and he was amazing! He checked on us multiple times and gave us great suggestions when ordering. There was plenty of space to sit, tables and booths, & they had everything we needed at our table from condiments to extra seasonings. My husband and I shared the garlic Thai basil crawfish which was so flavorful and juicy!! We also got the crawfish cheese bread for the first time which I highly recommend, not too cheesy & a good amount of crawfish! Lastly we ended it with some beignets and ice cream!
