The Cuban was very dry needed more mustard and the pork should be less dried out. The alligator bombs are very rich in flavor. Crunchy outside, but needed something to cut through that rich flavor. The border town salad is great. If I were to say anything just that the meat chunks could be bigger. The seared tuna was an amazing. Melts in your mouth, but a slight fishy flavor. Service was great, when we went it was very slow so that made it easier. The ambiance was nice well decorated also.

    Toilet seat

Portions are slowly getting smaller and smaller however, prices are not also need to do some deep cleaning, especially the restrooms ladies (don't know how the men's look) . I can only imagine if the restrooms look like this how the kitchen looks when the customers don't see the kitchen.

This is a surprising gem in St. Bernard Parish. It has some typical dishes, like burgers and fried seafood. It has some international dishes, like quesadillas and Cuban sandwiches. And it has some interesting fusion dishes, like the "Sushiritto" and Cajun edamame. I've eaten here a couple times now and haven't had a bad dish. The portion sizes are maybe a bit smaller than other dining options in Da Parish, but I still usually have a small to-go box at the end.

We caught our own fish and they fried it for us. The fish was full of flavor and so delicious and soft! Service was great! Our server was amazing. Thank you!

I got the shrimp and grits, which needed to be warmed up a little more but the taste made up for it all! It wasn't spice but had so much seasoning, the corn grits were cooked to the perfect texture. The shrimp were cooked just right also. Everything about this dish was top notch. I do think the serving could have been a little bigger but still amazing. I ordered a side of coconut rice and it was also delicious. Cooked perfectly, great subtle sweet coconut taste and I just added a pinch of salt to mine. My husband got the Cancun burger and loved it, he said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. It was cooked medium as requested, seasoned well and the sauce that was on it really pulled it together. Hannah was our server and was so sweet and personable. Restaurant was clean and well kept. They had great weekend specials! We will definitely be back

My fiancée and myself stopped in for brunch on a Saturday. I got the stuffed French toast with berries. It was phenomenal and not too sweet! My fiancée got the Docville pasta (not pictured) it was delicious as well. The service was great. She checked on us several times even though they were really busy. The restaurant is a great option for brunch which is rare in the parish as well as a nice dinner. They have daily specials that fuse international with Cajun/creole. Highly recommend this place if you are ever down the road!

The Brunch at Crave is excellent. Chad has another winning combination of excellent food with a fun and friendly atmosphere for his customers. The owner/Chef is always at his restaurant and he is working alongside his staff, visiting with customers and keeping things going perfectly. He is so very dedicated to his business, staff, customers, family and customers. The Brunch menu is soooo yummy and versatile. So far we've been every Sunday and plan to try everything on the menu. I'm a m pancake girl and the strawberry and Blueberry pancakes are so light, fluffy and delicious with a strawberry or Blueberry compote and sprinkled with powered sugar and a dollop of homemade whip cream with a sprig of mint. Yummmm. I cannot wait for next Sunday to come because I'm CRAVING !!!!!!!

Described as one of Meraux's hidden gems Crave is the cure to all of your cravings! Asian bang bang shrimp, blackened Tataki, and sushiritto? Check. Down home comforts like crawfishthreetoufee? Check. Maybe you just want a salad or something deep fried. Check and check! Definitely a good experience all around. Though, come early and be prepared to wait especially during King Cake season. Why? Because they roll and deep fry their king cakes here! It doesn't make any sense how good and crispy this dish was. But at the same time, how have I not thought of this before. The king cake spring rolls was definitely my favorite bite of the night though you may want to proceed with caution. This dish is best served shared since one order might be overly indulgent on its own. Family oriented establishment and loud but that doesn't bother me since it's usually a sign of a good time.

Our dinner at Crave was a wonderful detour. We made the ride from the Westbank with plans to dine and enjoy live music at a restaurant in Arabi. But after being turned away because orders in the kitchen were backed up, we were forced to look elsewhere. Someone exiting the restaurant suggested Crave a few miles down the road in Meraux. Everything we ordered was delicious. We were a party of 5 and everyone ordered something different. We passed around and got a taste of 5 different entrees. Pasta Romero, Venezia Chicken, Thai MahiMahi, Fried Catfish and Cajun Cheesesteak Panini. All were delicious and did not disappoint with the only exception being the Panini which was on the dry side. I would definitely return and we are grateful to the people who made the recommendation to give them a try.

Fellow Chalmettions post reviews‼All of yall are not old or fishermen's or just not techy. So many restaurants out here have OLD or little reviews. This place is awesome they really have little bit of EVERYTHING and it isn't overwhelming. The placed was packed as normal for a Friday night and it was "stimmy friday" Greated and seated soon as we walked in. Food was perfect! It's the "Bread Pudding" for meOur great server Kenneth sold us he was like I don't mean to be dramatic but next time get the bread pudding so before we left we order it to go and I would have been disappointed if we didn't get it‼

I didn't take a minute to look at the menu to see if they served chicken tenders or not, i rather assumed... Anyways, they didn't serve "Chicken Tenders" but had some Chicken Breast left.. The lady treated me as any loving mother would a picky child.. She took the time she didn't have, the energy she didn't need to waste & the initiative to "make something shake" lol. I walked out with a chicken tender basket & a full stomach with food left over! I appreciate that & you more than you'll ever know for that small gesture of kindness, which was huge to me!

The food was good, so I looked forward to the day that he would open a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Well here it is. I ordered the Wednesday special, which consisted of mustard greens over rice, cornbread dressing, and candied yams. It normally comes with baked chicken, but I paid $2 to upgrade to fried fish. The fish was maybe a smidge under salted, but better undersalted than over-salted, and it was otherwise good. The greens were good too, and I especially enjoyed the dressing and yams. My meal was roughly ~$14, which is really fair considering I'll be eating off of it twice. The staff was friendly and my food was ready fairly quickly. The restaurant is a bit bare looking inside, but it's casual and still very new. I will definitely be returning. #blackownedbusiness

Whether it…read morewas fish to take home to cook, boiled seafood, fried seafood plates, or even stuff from their cold section I've tried a good bit. Last Friday I went and got 2 stuffed crabs(in the picture). Initially I was like $13 for the two scoops of stuffed crab seemed high but I know crabmeat is expensive. Right when I was about to pay for my food the hot crawfish came out so I had to get a taste and ordered 3lbs. My total was about $33. Prices are cheaper if you pay with cash (they list the price with cash and the price if you are paying with card) so I'd say bring some cash. The crawfish were good as usual and were a nice size. Other things I've had in the past that I enjoyed were the crawfish fettuccini, shrimp poboy, fried fish plate, and potato salad. There is seating available inside but it's not a big place so a big group would probably need to get their food to go. The things they can do with redfish especially are simply amazing. This is a long-established institution in a once not-so-great but now (of course) gentrifying part of town. It's a place with quality but not pretense; with service where the waitstaff does everything they should but is never patronizing or over the top. They get tourists here, understand, but it's really a place still for neighborhood locals and thankfully acts like it. It was opened I believe in 1978 and the vibe remains one somewhat from that era--very thankfully. Again, redfish or any broiled dish is the way to go . . . or the po'boys which are done right and rank amongst the city's very finest. Fried dishes can be more hit or miss which really, that's the state of fried seafood at even the places with great expertise on producing such. Same with sides: the mac n cheese is a notable offender in this regard, sometimes coming out cold, hard, and making you wonder what sort of building material it is and which cement plant produced it. But never mind: you're here for the fish and the fish won't disappoint. Hasn't in decades, after all.
