Sweet Heat wings
Natoya C.

Owner/Chef reached out to me to discuss my experience. She explained that the kitchen had an off day. I went back to give them another try and experience was 10x better. I ordered another bouding ball, 5 piece wings, and Powpow shrimp platter. Overall, food was much better. The boudin ball totally different in consistency and pretty dam good. It is spicy. The wings were fried to perfection. The shrimp had a good flavor.

Grilled Shrimp Poboy

Great local spot. Hands down the best grilled shrimp poboy I've ever had. Friendly service too. Definitely will be back to try something else. Hoping to try their tacos that sell out every Tuesday!

Mac&Cheese, Bbq ribs, baked beans, potato salad. Thursday Special.

Food and customer service was amazing. The cooks were friendly. I will definitely be back.

The food was delicious and all of the employees were very friendly! My friend said she usually doesn't like catfish, but loved it here.

Beignets & More - Pho tai

Beignets & More

My friend and I were greeted enthusiastically when we walked through the door of this small,…read morefamily-run Vietnamese restaurant in a Chalmette strip mall. That was so kind, and it moved me. Many "social" experiences feel so impersonal and isolated now; and I've always felt that making, eating, and sharing food should not feel that way, and, at Beignets & More, walking into the space feels humanizing, like you've been welcomed to a family meal, even if you're on your own. My friend and I both had pots of green tea and ordered pho, which came out within 10 minutes. I have wheat/gluten allergies and confirmed that the pho here is gluten free. The brisket pho was great, and I'll definitely come back to try the chicken, rare steak, and veggie--or to get a big container of their terrific broth to go when I'm feeling a cold coming on. (I'm sure other menu items are worth trying too!) Both the son and his dad came around during our meal to gently ask "everything is good?" I'll be here often as long as I live in New Orleans. -- Bonuses: In the table caddy with hoisin sauce, sriracha, napkins, and spoons, there are also real chopsticks to use--not the wooden, to-go ones many restaurants offer even when you're dining in. Parking at the strip mall is easy.

My first visit I enjoyed a Vietnamese iced coffee (espresso and condensed milk) and beignets, which were so delicious. You have a choice of three regular beignets that are huge, or nine mini beignets that remind me of funnel cake! I have returned for another cup of coffee and well as their chargrilled shrimp Vietnamese poboy and rare round eye or eye round pho. The poboy is absolutely wonderful and the pho was delicious. This will be my go to at times when I wanted a shrimp poboy, great substitute for the fried ones. You can dine in or take out. The owners are so nice and definitely know their regulars. Until we meet again!

They have k-pop music playing in the background as soon as you walk in! In this trip, I am only reviewing the drinks - we did not try food at this time. Their drink selection is vast, and all of the drinks seemed really interesting! We settled on the mango pomelo and brown sugar boba milk tea and it was pretty good, I could've used a less sweeter drink so I'll tweak that next time! Ordering process was thru a huge tablet and you can customize any combinations you want for your drink, it was easy to use. Service was good and friendly they call your name when your drinks are ready. I liked the ambiance of the shop I thought it was inviting and very k-pop ish.

The purple potato bubble tea with extra cheese foam was especially delicious and aromatic with the perfect level of sweetness (50%). I also loved how juicy and tender their boneless fried chicken thighs were. A low point would probably be the hot Cheeto 핫도그 (hot dog)--the initial spice flavor of the Cheeto dust was nowhere to be found and the entire coating tasted quite bland. Other than that, I would definitely visit this place in person to try more of their fried chicken flavors, along with their long list of bubble tea options.
