The fried chicken deserves 4 stars, the rice tastes like absolute black PEPPER. The crawfish was TRASH!! I'm so glad I went with my first mind and only ordered 1 pound to test first. The inside was grey! The texture mush! And they were salty as hell no flavor just SALT! And the bag was full of tailless bodies. I honestly didn't want to give this place any stars because of the customer service. There is a guy who works at the front counter who is consistently rude and disrespectful. When I went in to order food, I simply asked for fries with my meal and made it clear I didn't mind the cost--I just wanted what I requested. There was no reason for the attitude. This isn't a one-time issue either. Every time he's there, the experience is the same, which is why I avoid eating here when possible. Customer service matters, and his behavior makes customers feel unwelcome. This place can and will fill you up with a wide variety of Louisiana favorites (boiled, fried, grilled and baked)! Items from boiled turkey necks to the great fried seafood; all at a very reasonable cost! The staff is exceptionally friendly! Lots of regulars! It is easy to get to, find parking and place an order. Don't rush and take your time to look over the offerings as you might change it a few times. I should have slowed down. They have a lot! I'm going to be very blunt, never judge a restaurant just by looking at it from the outside. This place looks rundown, parking lot is super small. But we were surprised at how delicious and hot ready to go the food was. The wings are made when order is placed, they have great prices on crawfish- hubby got a great deal from two pounds ate it all too. On the table you get many options, and of course paper towels since the food can get messy! My wings kinda burned throw my container, but that's what impressed me. Why? Because it really shows just how fresh they make their food! So don't worry about the small wait, by the time you get your food it'll be worth it. And let's talk about their drink options, so many drink options omg!! We got the fountain drinks, and the cup is huge. Sure doesn't fit in our drink holder but it's enough. They even have Coke Zero, Coke, Barb's Root Beer, Sprite, Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke, then tea as well. They even have alcohol options- which I forgot to ask for. The place is set up like a cute diner, chairs and tables are comfortable and they do have bathrooms in the back. They also have two entrances, and two counters so you are barely waiting. They do take card and have the best updated systems for it. The workers are super friendly and helpful throughout our meal today. I've been here twice and I can tell you for certain, the Platters are huge and I don't think they were made to be or can be finished by one person. The Shrimp on the Shrimp Platter were huge and cooked to perfection. The Cajun fries were also very good and kept me entertained on the drive home as my first order was to go. Worse. Poboy. Ever. The 'French' bread was a hoagie bun. The shrimp was overcooked and had a strange bitterness to them, on top of being tough due to the overcooking. My mother's roast beef sandwich was on a slice of barely toasted white bread that was so mushy it was dissolving into paste. And the roast beef was rubbery as well with far too much salt added.
