I have been visiting this store since it the day it opened. Typically, everyone is ok and friendly. Today I came in to return sometime that an associate had ordered in the wrong size from last week. As I was waiting in line 6 feet away with my mask on from the person in front of me, I moved closer to the next available register not realizing the second cashier was not coming back. So my 5 year old daughter and I moved back in line. Hilda B. was the only cashier left. As she was assisting a Caucasian woman in front of me, she looked around and proceeded to tell me that I was out of line and pointed to the end of the line where I should go. Oddly enough, she saw and made eye contact with me waiting at least 5 minutes before. I replied politely that I have been waiting in line. She then told me that I needed to move back further away from the register. At this point, the African America man behind me had already moved up closer as well. I could tell he was uncomfortable as well the way she was talking to me. He also looked confused of her behavior that was so unnecessary. My daughter and I didn't have much room to move anywhere else from the register. Finally, when it was my turn, no hello, no how are you, then again told me to stay behind the screen with my daughter. Then rudely laid my receipt on the counter when she was done. Again, no thank you, nothing. When I was done, I walked away and watched her interactIons with the few customers behind me. I wanted to make sure that this was happening to just me! I am an Asian American 5'3 tall and average weight. The man right after me was at least 6ft tall and twice my weight. My point here is that I am in no way way could have taken up much space nor was directly in front on her. HIlda B. was so polite to him and not once asked him to stay or behind the dividing screen. This man stood directly in from of the counter opening where he laid his merchandise to check out. After this, she continued smile with her eyes and greeted everyone on after like nothing happened. I was so upset and disappointed that I could not say anything to her because I didn't want my daughter to acknowledge nor feel the fact she was so racist and made us felt out of place. So I decided to leave my daughter with my sister by the door while I spoke to Kyle, the manager. The tone of her voice made me feel so disgusted and mad that we were being treated this way. The way she spoke and looked at us was so belittling with so much prejudice like we had COVID all over us. As a 44 yo Asian, born and raised in America, we were taught to work hard, comply and not disrupt. The tone and way she spoke to me with so much control and authority believing that she could get away with it. She was so proud that she put my daughter and I back in "our place." I never, never felt so embarrassed and humiliated in front of a crowd, especially not being able to defend nor speak up for myself without losing my calm in front of my daughter. I can assure her that it would have been a different scenario if my daughter wasn't with me. The last thing I want to teach my daughters is hate! Being with my innocent 5yo daughter, I told Kyle that I had to speak up about her unacceptable behavior. Honestly, I hope and want to believe that Kyle actually brought to her attention to rectify and put her in her place. Hilda, I hope you read this. Sadly enough, you are moving backwards. You are huge part of the problem why we can't move forward. It is a shame that Crate and Barrel has Hilda B. representing this brand. read more

I love this store!! In the process of furnishing two establishments, I have visited almost every Crate & Barrel this side of Texas, lol. Everyone in the Plano store has been phenomenal, especially Oscar! He has been my go-to for design ideas and inspo! I highly recommend stopping through to get your creative juices flowing and spend some money! read more

Crate and Barrel has lots of trendy options for your home. It is true that C&B is a little overpriced but their product is unique. The one star rating goes to the poor customer service that I received when I went. I had high expectations for this place but Wal-Mart probably has better customer service than this place. Although I will never come back to this location, I would recommend this C&B get training from the Highland park location because I always get superb service there. read more

I have had one great experience with an associate here over the phone (very helpful and pleasant) and a really horrendous one (very demeaning and rude - I felt like an inconvenience to her day). Even though I haven't stepped foot into this store, I have made a note to myself to not go to this crate and barrel to shop in the future. I wouldn't want to accidentally ask her for help and be blindsided with her pretentious attitude (it seems like another reviewer has unfortunately talked to the same associate over phone and gotten the same treatment). read more

DAMN YOU C&B...All your beautiful furniture and home-y things that want to claim my entire paycheck! Needless to say, I love this store. I love the simplicity and style of their pieces and wish I had unlimited fund to spend here. Even though I definitely don't BUY every time I'm here, I do use them for color/design inspiration. I actully will be hitting them up soon for a remodel I'm doing and I.....CANT....WAIT!! read more

This is really a review about Crate and Barrel in general. We bought our children their crib and dresser for the impending birth of our grandchild. We bought the gray finish furniture. It immediately started to peel when we tried to attach a mobile. As the year went on, it peeled in places where there was no contact by the baby or anyone else. I would not recommend the gray finish. However, Crate and Barrel stood by their product and allowed us to return the crib and dresser for a different set with a different finish. All we had to pay was the difference in price. Now that is a company who knows how to make a customer happy! I shop at Crate and Barrel very often and will continue to do so. read more

This Crate and Barrel is the worst with its customer service. My husband, kid and I went in to buy one of the Jellykat bunnies that they sell there since we had seen them there previously. My kid was walking around holding my hand as I gave her the bunny that we were going to get her. One of the employees kept staring us down/ chasing us as we looked across the store and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It started to pour outside, and so we decided to sit for a second to let the storm pass (may I add I'm also pregnant and my back was killing me). The same employee told my husband "Do you need me to get a furniture specialist" we politely said "no" and she continued to say "Are you going to buy that bunny" (referring to the bunny my daughter was holding) however she said it very impolite. She continued to say "she's been putting it in her mouth." We were so shocked and my husband was very angry. She continued to chase us until my husband got so mad he just left the bunny and we left. We luckily found it at another store and bought it. read more

Visited this store to pick up a Mother's day present. I didn't look around much as I knew what I was looking for. Unlike some other reviewers, I experienced great customer service. The cashier asked if my purchase was a gift and wrapped up my purchase accordingly. I will return. read more

Beautiful clean store horrible customer service I have visited this store several times while shopping in Willowbend Mall. This is how it goes for me I walk into the store its like I'm invisible the checkout counter is right there as soon as u walk in so there's no excuse not to be greeted. Someone else can come in after me not only are they greeted they are asked if they need help what there shopping for today. Crate and Barrel customer service is not based on skin color. The company needs to have a conference on customer service so their employees know how to treat all customers not just caucasian customers. I will not be returning at all horrible customer service. read more

Totally agree with the poor reviews on customer service... And I did not look AT ALL like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman! The two sales- women at the front did not know any greeting apparently, were rude and demeaning, obviously bothered that they had to make a phone call to bring my purchase for pick-up. It was my first time in the store but I was appalled by the the service. 5 stars however go to Heather, the employee with whom I had made the purchase over the phone and who was knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. The guy who brought my purchase was also nice, I wonder how they work with those 'primadonna wannabes'... read more

Susan the associate here rocks. Large store, many selections.

I absolutely love the location of this new Crate & Barrel, it is so spacious and great to have at Willow Bend. Only problem is I find more and more things I want! read more

Had a great experience at Crate & Barrel Willowbend Mall. Susan & Luke were so lovely & patient with my very complex order logistics, and on top of that helped me transfer it to a new card so I can get bonus points (double today). Their professionalism and helpful comportment was so refreshing in this hurry-up world, and much appreciated because it's hard to find this in a retain store. Plus, the merchandise is so cool!. This says I am in Boulder (well the order will go there) but please note I was at the store in Plano, TX! read more
