If you order furniture from Crate and Barrel be prepared to wait 4-6 weeks longer than the delivery date. My furniture is beautiful and I'm extremely happy (now) but a christmas present that appears in late January isn't as much fun for the gift giver or receiver. Also know this: The local store doesn't know anything about your online order. After being frustrated with the online and phone customer service I decided to make a trip to the store. No dice. In my THREE trips over a six week period I received different and conflicting answers each time. The staff were friendly and empathetic but were not able to provide accurate information. I hope this info helps.

When you think of Crate & Barrel it's hard not to hold your breath and hang on to your wallet. You know you're going in and will spend a pretty penny. Our home has everything from their furnitures, beddings, dinnerware, silverware and wood trays. The craftsmanship and hardware is difficult to compare. These classics and modern pieces have lasted for years and are worth every dollar. I'm an avid fan of this chain and will shoppe here again. As for this location--friendly and helpful staff. Located in rousing Austin, TX, conveniently positioned in the Gateway Shopping Centers Mall, which offers tons of great shopping and dining options. Parking is free! But caution, at times there can be a lot of people so expect to hunt for a spot. This Crate & Barrel is also home to a carefully chosen collection for kids' furniture, toys and accessories. When I inquired more specifically, I learned that those were not "the Dubai chocolates." I appreciate the sales associate's honesty. They have a plethora of wall hangings. It is quite impressive the sayings they have on some of their wall hangings. If you are looking for some unique hearts for Valentine's day, Sugarboo is your go to place. The staff is southern hospitality friendly. They welcome any questions and if you are looking for something specifically, they will let you know exactly where it is in the store. This store is very affordable. Importantly, it has unique items that you will not find in every store you frequent.

From pillows to placemats to notepads to candles to sweaters and shirts and comforters and pet items. Oh my! This store has so many fun products that are great gift giving ideas at reasonable prices. I visited from California on a work trip and super bummed I didn't bring a bigger suitcase because I would've bought so many gifts to give. I believe this store is female owned, and have store locations throughout the south. Their staff is sweet and accommodating, and every gift comes with a beautiful gift wrapping that's complementary. They have plenty of parking as they are part of a mall and there is tons of parking stalls. Can't wait to come back and visit this store on my next work trip. It will definitely be on my list of things to do when I visit Austin, Texas and in the mood for shopping.

Did you know that World Market moved from the Gateway shopping center the Arboretum Shopping Center…read morenear Michaels (Austin, TX)? I did not until recently. World Market is an eclectic store with global style, offering a variety of items from home furnishings and kitchen items to international foods and drinks. I have found woven baskets from Ghana and Christmas ornaments from Kazakhstan. You can go in and be immediately overwhelmed or bask in the delight of all your findings. World Market is my go-to for chocolate covered tea biscuits, certain types of jams and wines from around the world. The store's ambiance often feels like an open market luring you to different parts of the store. If you are looking for a unique gift, this is the store you. Today I was looking for green tea for a friend...not any type of green tea. I was specifically looking for white hibiscus and peach green tea. Score! I found ample amount of this tea with a plethora of other similar teas. The cashier was so kind to point precisely to the part of the store where I could find all their teas. World Market is a great place to shop for unique items especially gifts. I am more than thrilled with the new location as it is even closer to home.

I also really like their wrapping paper and gift bag options, and find cute hostess gift items aplenty. Today I stopped in and didn't find anything I wanted, but I'll keep coming back because every season is different and their selection rotates. On a very sad for me note, they stopped carrying the chorizo sausage I occasionally buy for a treat. I'm sad to see it go! But you can't have it all. This store is clean and fun to wander in, and the staff is friendly. The checkout line can be a bit slow depending on who's working and how chatty they tend to be. But better friendly staff than the opposite. The parking at this location is terrible- not the fault of World Market, but a factor as a customer nonetheless.

They have a small parking lot on the side, along with a few spots specifically for takeout. As the name suggests, it's also a gift store, which makes the place even more unique. The inside is very clean and modern. I ended up getting a vanilla latte, which was a little bitter for my taste, but it was still a good coffee. My favorite thing about this place was definitely the outdoor space in the back. It's very relaxing and beautiful. Strawberry Matcha Drink: literally just tasted like strawberry oat milk with zero matcha flavor. If you're looking for an actual matcha kick, may be skip this Coffee Cake Muffin: The flavor was good and sweet, making it a nice pairing with coffee. However, it was SUPER mushy--to the point where I couldn't tell if it was still raw or just severely underbaked texture-wise Almond Bar: It had a decent flavor profile, but the bottom crust made the whole thing very chalky and left a dry coating all over my mouth Cheesecake: Not bad overall, but nothing to write home about Banana Bread: This was the most decent item of the bunch. Thankfully, it wasn't nearly as mushy as the muffin. On the bright side, the gift shop is very cute! I ended up buying a little souvenir to remember Austin by, which was a nice saving grace. Cute concept and a fun spot to browse, but I'd probably skip the cafe menu if I'm ever back in town
