The art on the walls are also a great touch as well as the sitting area with backgammon available to play. I also love the food and drinks they have in the grocery section. I do wish they had more selections to choose from though. In terms of more options of Russian/Armenian food like deli meat, dairy products, smoked fish, fruits/veggies, candy, cookies, juice... The prices here are steep, it's a big reason as to why I don't shop here often. It's a shame because I would love to support an Armenian business.

The staff is warm & engaging. My go-to is the supreme gyro: perfectly seasoned gyro meat, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, red onions, feta cheese & banana peppers topped with creamy tzatziki sauce & wrapped in warm Greek flatbread. Every bite is the perfect mix of savory, tangy & fresh. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality & prepared with love! They also have a wonderful specialty market filled with great spices, specialty ingredients & unique items you won't always find elsewhere. Be sure to try the halva - they carry it in several different flavors & it is yummi & unique. The baklava is also outstanding. Both are the perfect sweet treat to take home after an amazing meal! We'd never heard of it, so we searched online for the business and were excited- we're an omnivorous family that loves a little of everything so we were excited to try what this place has to offer! Between the four of us we tried the kebah, beef shawarma, falafel sandwich, shish kebab sandwich, and lamb kabsa. Everything was delicious and richly flavored with wonderful texture as well. We were all completely satisfied. As of now the website is a work in progress so orders made there aren't going through. Since this is a cuisine we're not intimately familiar with, a description of the dishes would be helpful (but we excitedly googled them all in order to make the selections that were most appealing to us). We're excited to add this place to our rotation of favorites and will absolutely return!

When I grabbed the menu, there were plenty of descriptions so I've attached the menu photos to Yelp. I ordered the Okra Stew and it came with a large side of Rice that was flavored with Mediterranean spices. The stew was delicious with carrots, potatoes, okra, and chunks of lamb meat. Everything was balanced and tasted amazing. It was really good with the rice too if you like to mix the two together. $19.99 (A little pricey for soup) The Greek salad was very good, chopped up with fresh white onions on it. The Greek dressing was fantastic. $10.99 (Would be even better if you can add chicken to it - I'm sure they would be if you asked). Chicken Shawarma was a special for $9.99 made with fresh veggies. The chicken was a little dry, but still very good. The veggies did a good job of blending it all together.

This is actually a small mom &…read morepop shop with a few basic items used to cook Middle Eastern foods, serving a few prepared items, such as kibbeh, tabouleh, spinach pies, flat bread topped with zaatar, and milk pudding dessert. I was hoping to find a complete renovation from the previous business it replaced but, alas, the only thing that changed is the name and a few added items in their prepared food section. The new owners have recently immigrated to the US, so the woman who assisted me had challenges communicating with me in English. Luckily, she had a translator on her phone that translated the list of food on my text message into Arabic writing . I think these people are VERY BRAVE for starting over in a far away land. In the grocery section I bought a jar of pickled turnips for the chicken pita wraps I make at home. (Trader Joe's now sells toum, or garlic sauce, traditionally used as a condiment in Lebanon similar to garlicky mayonnaise. You can use meat from rotisserie chicken available at most local grocery stores). They also have fresh lebneh, or strained yogurt. From the prepared foods section, I highly recommend their kibbeh (if you like lamb; my hubby thought it was good) and their slow cooked chicken with Syrian rice pilaf, which is an authentic Syrian regional home cooked meal. This was delicious and the portion was perfect for the price. I also liked their milk pudding cups, though I wish the portion was larger. If you decide to try the cheese or spinach pies, you might need to baked it in the oven a while longer as they were undercooked. My four stars is for the slow-cooked chicken with rice pilaf and the milk pudding, which I will come back for. Hopefully, we will see some renovations in the future since it still looks shabby as it did before this business took over

I mainly came for the sweets, was able to get a tray of pistachio and walnut baklava, but they had a few other sweets like lady fingers and purses as well. Baklava was very good, very nice crispiness that held up for the week. I would've preferred it to have a bit more nuts and be a bit sweeter, but personal preference. Got the cheese fatayer which is just basically a cheesy bread with some herbs. So tasty, really enjoyed that! Also got a lamb kabob which came with some bread as well. The flavor here was good but didn't blow me away. Touch on the dry side too. Probably would get something else next time. They've also got coffee. I elected to get the Turkish coffee. It was thick and came in a pretty small cup, about a 3rd of that is the grounds. Fun to try, but very bitter, wouldn't recommend this either. Overall, really cool shop that seems very popular. Lots of interesting menu items to try. Definitely suggest checking it out!
