I'm sure it could be up-kept a little, but as customers, we need to try to treat establishments with respect. It's not the employees fault that customers ruin the amenities provided to them. To note, I would like to emphasize that I have had pretty unpleasant experiences with the pharmacist. But the pharmacy techs are truly, truly wonderful. Thanks Alberto and the rest of the staff. My first serious issue happened when I tried to return needles that were not properly sealed. The pharmacist in charge became so confrontational that she talked about calling the police. I chose not to complain because I thought maybe she was simply having a bad day. Unfortunately, the problems continued. My prescriptions were sent to this pharmacy and approved through Medi-Cal, yet I was told I would have to pay completely out of pocket. I had to call Medi-Cal myself. Medi-Cal then contacted the pharmacy and confirmed that the medication was covered. With my most recent prescription, I was told for days that the medication was out of stock. Then I was suddenly told that my doctor had submitted the wrong code. I contacted Medi-Cal again, and they told me the prescription information was correct and the medication was covered. At another pickup, staff spent approximately 30 minutes trying to find my medication. Eventually, it became clear that the pharmacist had not yet filled it. This is not a minor inconvenience for me. My A1C is currently 13.8, and only days ago there was a serious discussion about the possibility of losing my foot. Getting my prescribed medication on time matters enormously right now. After days of calls and delays, and after Medi-Cal again had to communicate with the pharmacy about coverage, I finally received only a partial fill of my medication. I understand that medications can be out of stock, insurance systems can be complicated, and pharmacies are busy. I have tried to be patient. But being repeatedly given conflicting explanations, being told there were problems with my doctor or insurance when Medi-Cal was telling me otherwise, and having difficulty simply obtaining medication that had already been prescribed and covered is deeply concerning. When someone is dealing with a serious medical situation, delays and misinformation around medication can have real consequences. I sincerely hope CVS management looks into what happened at this location. I am sharing my experience because patients deserve clear communication, accuracy, and appropriate urgency when their health is on the line.

The staff seem bored, are unfriendly, and aren't uninterested in helping their customers. What finally prompted me to write this review was the restroom. It was absolutely disgusting: no toilet paper, urine on the floor, feces on the toilet, and even feces in the trash can. It was one of the dirtiest public restrooms I've encountered. The rest of the property isn't much better. The parking lot is always covered in trash, and the store itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The entrance is often blocked by people camped outside with large amounts of belongings, making it difficult to get in and out of the store. During my most recent visit, there was loud music playing while people were asking customers for money. I just wanted to pick up my prescription and leave. Overall, this store needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. It's GROSS!

On my last two visits I felt like I was visiting Nordstroms, but different. First I had a cashier who was nice enough to say she recognized my ring tone from Star Wars. This isn't easy because I think my son made it when he recorded a fax machine thinking it was an alien invasion (I use it because I hate phone calls). Then yesterday, I visited in a 911 situation. My son's braces had become dislodged and I needed dental wax. I ran to the "Dental isle" and looked. Nothing! I asked a coworker, she said, "look in the dental isel"... I told her that i had searched high and low and couldn't find it. Then I ran into Daniel... he's awesome. He marched over to the dental isle and pointed at the very first item on the shelf. I stared blankly unable to understand how this sorcerer had made something appear out of no where when I was certain it didn't exist. To his credit, he smiled kindly as if he had never seen a customer ask a stupid question. When i checked out, he was again cool and told me that Creators of volumus sheets of paper was in reference for the receipts they printed out which could be recycled to replace window blinds that hang vertically. Anyway, this place is cool, and mostly filled with decent people. I think 3 out of 4 customers are on parole and the parking lot is shared with Safeway (which means it's not safe). However I get what I need there and the folks are nice enough to help me find it, even when I ask stupid questions.

No need to read any further…read more Following the instructions on the email that CVS sent, I arrived eight minutes before my appointment. There were no lines for a vaccination. I had every expectation of receiving a vaccination within two minutes of my appointment time just like every other CVS I've been to. At exactly my appointment hour I started observing the pharmacist. At three minutes after the appointment hour, she put on her jacket. At five minutes after the appointment hour, I asked how long it would be. She came over and she said it will be a few minutes and I said it's five minutes after the appointment and she said yes I start at the appointment time. She refused to tell me how much longer it would take. By the way, you have to mix two vials together, so it was at least another 12 minutes, not a hard answer. The question is whether she was late, or lazy, or it was a power play, or she didn't know how to prepare the vaccine. Kind of doesn't matter I left without the vaccine. I've used other CVS before and they were awesome. Do not go to the CVS for vaccines.

I called to make sure they were ready and was told they were out of one of them. Got a call from my doctor checking in on me and I told her what was going on and she said she would change the pharmacy to Walgreens. I called them to see if they had my Rx ready and they said they did not have the formulation of the 40mcg one but they had 80mcg in stock ( I was to take two puffs of the 40mcg one anyways) so problem solving she got in touch with my doctors office and made it happen. I got there and it turns out that Safeway had already billed my insurance and I was not able to get them filled. She said that she would have the other tech call over to Safeway to have them back out of it and then they would be able to finish the transaction. Went back about 40 minutes later through drive through this time since I had made sure my insurance was updated with Walgreens before I left. Still expensive but it was very considerate that they made the contacts to both my doctor and the other pharmacy to try and expedite me receiving my inhalers.

The lines are usually long. Today's incident prompted me to write. While standing in line (there were 7 of us in line for pick-up) there were 5 people working in the pharmacy, nearly all on phones. There was only 1 pharmacy clerk to serve the people in line. Okay, I get it - these things happen and they are understaffed. But....rudeness is another thing. As I was standing there, a woman stood off to the side, unclear about where she should stand. In between the customers approaching the counter, she stepped forward to say that her name had been called over the loudspeaker. She asked if she should approach the counter or get in line. With a loud sigh and rolled eyes, (really?) the clerk Sara said that she was allowed to proceed to the counter. Is this how you treat customers? I realize that Miss Sara was tired but please don't take it out on customers who are just trying to get their prescriptions filled. Frankly, it was a little unsettling to see this.
