I don't know why there's such a low score. The pharmacy is far better than CVS. They are very kind and helpful when you need help. The store is so much cleaner than CVS in our town. I used to love going into CVS when it was in the Redwood Plaza, but the new one is always filthy and disgusting. I much prefer Rite Aid. They have what I need here in terms of sundries and pharmacy needs. Big bonus if you are a visitor; postcards are only $.25 lol read more

I'll be honest I came in because I needed to pee!! Store has a restroom you can use and it was clean. I ended up buying a bunch of snacks on the way out. Smallish location but it has a convenient and well-sized parking lot and the store is clean and well stocked. Decent selection of holiday items, snacks, small groceries and candy. All the things I look for in a Rite Aid. Employee at the counter was friendly and polite. read more

If you want to have a pharmacy tech be rude and refuse to give your prescriptions that were already paid for my workman's comp, then please use this Rite Aid pharmacy... this happened to my boyfriend the day he was released from the hospital after suffering a traumatic brain injury. The pharmacy tech was extremely rude and gave me attitude, even after it was discovered she was inputting the information incorrectly in her database. I was using this location for my own prescriptions and switched pharmacies right away. No one should be spoken to or treated in the manner she did to me, especially since I was never rude to her or ever raised my voice and the issue was due to her error. It was completely uncalled for. Pharmacy greatly understaffed. Only one customer representative at 2PM Wednesday 9/11. When the pharmacist returned from lunch, she was rude and didn't care that I had waited 30 minutes to drop off a prescription. I came in here for ice cream with a friend who lives across the street. The store wasn't very busy; it was a Sunday afternoon. My friend and I walked up to the ice cream counter and we were assisted really soon after, but it wasn't super friendly assistance. Maybe she was just having a bad day - everyone does - but my Rite Aid ice cream counter at my home store (Pleasant Hill, ca) has very friendly employees who get excited at my ice cream excitement. The ice cream was amazing - as expected. I even tried a new flavor: Black Cherry, and my favorite: Mint Chip. Sorry Cookies N Cream - I cheated on you today. Scoops of ice cream for less than $2 each is still the best price anywhere - and their ice cream is consistent and awesome. read more

Went in today to buy a few items and cashier was very rude!! I asked her for a bag after I paid and she said they had no bags. I called to speak to the manager after I left and he confirmed they had no bags. If you have a store and are out of bags and will not allow people to use their own bags due to covid at least warn people before they decide to shop and have to carry out all their items bagless in the rain! read more

I had been going to CVS pharmacy for months and they never filled my prescription without me prompting them to, it usually involved a million questions and phone calls and they never filled it on time resulting in a lapse in my prescription. I decided to give Rite-Aid pharmacy a try. What a difference. They filled my script sent by my dr with zero issues, on time the first time, and notified me to let me know it was ready despite the fact that I had never been there before. There was no line, and it was quick and painless. And it was cheaper (I'm waiting for my insurance to kick in and pay out of pocket). I'll be having all my prescriptions filled here from now on. read more

Usually enjoy shopping at Rite Aid, but not this location! My problem started when I came in to this location (Sebastopol), and tried to purchase a brand of shampoo that was on sale. The lady who helped me was nice and a young lady gave me a rain check; even a friend that was with me got a rain check, too. That was two weeks ago. I have checked to see if it in stock a couple of times. I walk in, none on the shelf, and I leave. But yesterday, Saturday, I went to the counter to see if the product was ever coming in, or maybe it had been discontinued. The nice young girl who helped me before was there and so was this older woman whose face looked like she had just bit into a lemon. Sour! Her attitude screamed, "I hate my job! I can't stand people." So, I should have just left right then, but I think I will tell sour puss about the shampoo debacle. Maybe she could help? We walk over to the shampoo isle, whereupon she turns to me and ask, "Where should it be?" I reply, "I don't know I don't work here." What a retarded thing to ask a customer? She says, "Every item has a place marked on the self." Then she tells me maybe they don't carry that item, maybe they do at another store. She did not know how to find if the item was something they carried or ever carried. Her attitude was negative from start to finish. She was arrogant and condescending. All this from some bitter clerk? Not in my world! CVS anyone? read more

The pharmacy staff here are fantastic. I was on a trip with my dog and one of prescriptions was empty. When I got to rite aid I had no refills left! The pharmacy talked to my primary vet and got a refill and then filled it for me in about 5 minutes. They were so helpful and were willing to take the time to help me out so I wouldn't have to go home and get the medicine. read more

There's no customer service here, since the employees are as slow & as dull as dirt, no matter what their age. You can never find anyone to help you at all. I was waiting at the counter with more stuff than ever, & the 0ld Hagragbag that was supposed to be at the counter [the 0nly 0ne], chose to restock the store literature instead of waiting on me 1st! And now, as an extra added bonus attraction, in Psycho Dysfunctional $ebastHole, Bozo the Clown's great granddaughter is here, with her bright red curly hair too! Never again... I live in town and enjoy the convenience of Rite Aid walking distance from my house, so I've put up with the absolutely horrible customer service for years. Finally, after a bad experience EVERY visit, it's time to say "Never again". The ice cream counter is never open, even when there's no line and several cashiers, and if you dare to ask, you're treated as if mountains have to be moved to serve a scoop of chocolate brownie. On most visits, there is one cashier slowly moving through a line while other workers chat with each other in the aisles. Directions to products are never accurate, and often given as "over somewhere, near, maybe, aisle, 3, or maybe, I don't know". Today, after placing a photo order online twice and receiving confirmation that they are done, during each of my two visits, my photos are nowhere to be found. The person looking into it just walked away after trying to log into the machine. No explanation. Nothing. So I tried printing right from the kiosk. I place the order, wait, nothing. Call the same persons over. Looks at the machine, says, "here they come" and walks away. Nothing comes out. I wait. Nothing. She won't help anymore. I hate CVS, but not as much as I now hate Rite Aid. When CVS moves downtown, this place will be gone in 6 months. Sad but true. I had bought a saline solution for a piecing about a week ago, a few days later the sprayer stopped working so I just came to bring it back and I didn't have the receipt but I had my bank information with proof of the transaction AND my ride aid account that also provided the same proof. They wouldn't give me another saline solution, I even had bought the Ride Aid brand! F U RIDE AID. read more

It's never good to tell customers "You have 5 minutes until we close" instead of a more friendly greeting upon first coming in. I also had 8 min. Not 5. I was also reminded a few minutes after coming in that they are closed now. I actually had about 3 min left. Not a good look for you Rite Aid! read more

Don't come here if you are planning on using coupons. They don't want your business. I was yelled at by an employee for trying to use a valid coupon just because she didn't think it should be used on the item. I did receive an apology for the incident but I don't have any confidence that anything will change so I will not be back. Just save the headache and go to CVS or Walgreens. read more

Yikes...this Rite Aid is generally pretty well-stocked, but that's about the only pleasant thing I can say. I've been in several times to purchase general items like toiletries, greeting cards, etc. The staff (with one friendly exception, as soon as I remember her name I'll post it!) is always pretty rude and/or grumpy. They don't seem like they want to be there and act bothered when you ask questions or need help. And heaven help you if you happen to ask for ice cream...they always have a sign up that says "Ice Cream Counter Closed", so I asked when they were open and got a rude response about how it's going to be like that a lot this summer because they only had two people working...I counted four. We offered to wait until they weren't busy so the worker begrudgingly said she'd help us in a second and grumpily gave us ice cream. Hello!!! Thrifty ice cream is a Rite Aid staple! This scenario has become pretty common and we have now come to expect bad customer service at this location. I'll probably go to Safeway instead from now on. read more
