Seeing a happy, healthy, sleepy kitty lounging in a store tells me that the staff and the local clientele is kind and whimsical. The world needs more bodega cats, truly. Apparently this kitcat is named Miku and while he does have a human, he spends most of his time roaming town, and clearly lots of time at this CVS. Other than Miku, I thought this CVS was relatively well stocked and very clean. While there was a bit of a line at checkout and I only saw 1 staff member, she was kind. We found what we needed and were in and out quickly.

I will continue to shop here for a few products. They do carry La Roche Posay if you're looking for fancy skincare! And they often have Hippeas vegan chickpea puffs (IYKYK); they are hard to find but are also sold at Shelton's in town and at Whole Foods in Coddingtown Mall. If you do visit this CVS, don't be surprised if you see a cat lounging in the aisle or helping himself to cat food. I tried SIX TIMES over the course of a week to get my prescription and they kept giving me the run around. By the 8th day of trying, I said forget it and I am going to Sebastopol now. (Which Sebastopol family pharmacy has been SO much better already) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE HELPLESS PHARMACISTS. Save yourself the time, energy and headache, and just go somewhere else. The discounts here are worth it and I tend to get some stuff here over other big stores like Walmart and Target. There seem to be lots of comments about the bathroom? I'm sure it could be up-kept a little, but as customers, we need to try to treat establishments with respect. It's not the employees fault that customers ruin the amenities provided to them. To note, I would like to emphasize that I have had pretty unpleasant experiences with the pharmacist. But the pharmacy techs are truly, truly wonderful. Thanks Alberto and the rest of the staff. I have been extremely patient with this CVS pharmacy, but at this point I feel other people need to…read moreknow about my experience. My first serious issue happened when I tried to return needles that were not properly sealed. The pharmacist in charge became so confrontational that she talked about calling the police. I chose not to complain because I thought maybe she was simply having a bad day. Unfortunately, the problems continued. My prescriptions were sent to this pharmacy and approved through Medi-Cal, yet I was told I would have to pay completely out of pocket. I had to call Medi-Cal myself. Medi-Cal then contacted the pharmacy and confirmed that the medication was covered. With my most recent prescription, I was told for days that the medication was out of stock. Then I was suddenly told that my doctor had submitted the wrong code. I contacted Medi-Cal again, and they told me the prescription information was correct and the medication was covered. At another pickup, staff spent approximately 30 minutes trying to find my medication. Eventually, it became clear that the pharmacist had not yet filled it. This is not a minor inconvenience for me. My A1C is currently 13.8, and only days ago there was a serious discussion about the possibility of losing my foot. Getting my prescribed medication on time matters enormously right now. After days of calls and delays, and after Medi-Cal again had to communicate with the pharmacy about coverage, I finally received only a partial fill of my medication. I understand that medications can be out of stock, insurance systems can be complicated, and pharmacies are busy. I have tried to be patient. But being repeatedly given conflicting explanations, being told there were problems with my doctor or insurance when Medi-Cal was telling me otherwise, and having difficulty simply obtaining medication that had already been prescribed and covered is deeply concerning. When someone is dealing with a serious medical situation, delays and misinformation around medication can have real consequences. I sincerely hope CVS management looks into what happened at this location. I am sharing my experience because patients deserve clear communication, accuracy, and appropriate urgency when their health is on the line.
