Nothing makes me happier than walking into a shop and seeing a cat. Does anyone else follow r/bodegacats on reddit? Seeing a happy, healthy, sleepy kitty lounging in a store tells me that the staff and the local clientele is kind and whimsical. The world needs more bodega cats, truly. Apparently this kitcat is named Miku and while he does have a human, he spends most of his time roaming town, and clearly lots of time at this CVS. Other than Miku, I thought this CVS was relatively well stocked and very clean. While there was a bit of a line at checkout and I only saw 1 staff member, she was kind. We found what we needed and were in and out quickly. read more

I appreciate having CVS in town for the convenience of finding quick toiletries or medicine or snacks. Unfortunately they often seem understaffed and under-stocked. I will continue to shop here for a few products. They do carry La Roche Posay if you're looking for fancy skincare! And they often have Hippeas vegan chickpea puffs (IYKYK); they are hard to find but are also sold at Shelton's in town and at Whole Foods in Coddingtown Mall. If you do visit this CVS, don't be surprised if you see a cat lounging in the aisle or helping himself to cat food. That's Miku, a local 'stray' cat (who has a human but spends most of his time about town). read more

All of the negative reviews are from cranky out-of-towners who seem to be unhappy with life. Store is well stocked, and I've always gotten friendly service there. The pharmacy can get busy at times, but that's pretty normal during peak periods. read more

My wife's a chemo patient that came down with Covid. All of the CVS's in the area bounced her around saying "they can't help her with basic cough syrup with codeine". My wife reached out to the CVS in Healdsburg looking for help and guidance on what she should do. Two days had passed since the initial script for the medication had been put in and they bounced her around. Eventually my wife was able to get into contact with a pharmacy tech at Healdsburg, asking for help. The Pharmacy Tech hung up on her. I do not recommend using any of the CVS's in Healdsburg and Cloverdale. read more

I have moved around a lot and have been to many pharmacies. I have NEVER had a pharmacy be so difficult, so uninterested in helping, or so dismissive of medical concerns about not receiving vital medications in time due to their ineptitude. It is infuriating. It's a totally incompetent pharmacy and particularly the young, dark haired pharmacist. It seemed as though she was being deliberately difficult. She was not communicating vital information related to our conversation (including that the medication I was trying to get was out of stock anyway!!!) She talked over me and I had to ask the same question 4 or 5 times in a row trying to get her to clarify what she was saying, and she just continued to repeat the same phrase over and over. She also does not understand the distinction between a law and a CVS policy. She claimed new laws had passed that are merely CVS policies. She also tried to blame my doctor for her ineptitude, saying that he must not understand how submitting prescriptions works, which is absurd and insulting. I highly recommend the local Safeway pharmacy and will be switching back. I transferred to cvs because my insurance was gonna cover a med that they didn't cover at Safeway. I should've payed the extra money and never have switched!!! Seriously this CVS is so bad. read more

Worst CVS ever. The tall young brunette cashier treated an elderly man badly as he had a hearing problem when he asked where the Q-tips were. She said aisle 22 but he looked at her puzzled. It was obvious he doesn't hear very well. She rolled her eyes and told him again. I bought a box of wine this morning. When I got home, I noticed the top of it was very dusty. I then looked at the expiration date and it was January 2021. That's 8 months past the expired date. I took it back with the receipt half an hour after the purchase. The tall young brunette said they don't refund liquor. I said it was completely unopened but she said it didn't matter. She followed me over to the wine section and all of that lot was expired with a date of January 2021. She said I still couldn't get a refund but they would exchange it. Well, I'm not going to exchange it for another one that has the same 8 month old expiration date. So I picked out another varietal from the same winery. She said "Don't bring it back again". The date on the replacement different varietal was March 2022. I said I won't bring it back. I told her they store should pull off the shelves all of the expired ones. She rudely said she just got in at 11am and doesn't have time to pull them. If I could give this CVS a negative 5, I would. Worse customer experience ever! read more

Went in yesterday afternoon and put an order in for two poster boards for my moms funeral. I asked the cashier how long and he said after 6 pm. I called because We live in Windsor. The pharmacist here is absolutely awful. Not sure how he still has a license. Avoid this place at all costs. He's so lazy he keeps sending prescriptions to rite aid instead of filling the prescriptions himself. If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would. Everytime I go in there the people in front of me have an issue with their Rx. I have the same issue. And Pharmacy has a poor attitude of "oh well too bad" and puts it off on the patient that there is a problem. I had a Rx of a non controled substance and was totally out. He basically told that because I took 3 months to finish a 60 day prescription ... That I need to talk to my Dr. Well it's a weekend and I needed a few just until my Dr to renew it. He refused. Appearantly I have to abuse them and run out sooner than later to get this MF to refill it. I hate this place and will no longer spend my money there. Very poor service every single time. Mid day yesterday I went to CVS to purchase two nail polishes. As I waited in line for the self check out I noticed another line that was six people deep with only one cashier. I proceeded to use the self check out when I discovered one of my items was not scanning. The lone cashier told me she could void my transaction and I could go stand in the long line behind everybody else. This was a nerving that the scanning machine didn't work and that I had to stand seven people deep in a line that only had one cashier. I would not recommend this store to anyone because obviously the management doesn't know how to run the store nor do they appreciate their employees or give them wage increases for all the stress that they're putting them under. I've heard that corporate and management doesn't care so I doubt if I'll even get a response from this review, but at least everyone will be forewarned not to go here. The self checkout station is more of a hindrance than a help and they obviously need to hire more staff and a competent manager who knows how to schedule more than one cashier during the mid day rush. read more

The head pharmacist, Emily Wu, is highly rude and unprofessional. I tried to fill a prescription and she treated me very poorly, refusing to answer basic questions about store and corporate policy and hung up on me when I asked clarifying questions. Will never go here again. Do not recommend. What's crazy is that there are reviews on here that date back at least to 2015 ( I eventually stopped reading) that say what a rude awful pharmacy this is. Even when people cited a different pharmacist they were just as bad. Multiple people say that the pharmacist acted like they were playing god with their medication and that was my exact experience. read more

I'm leaving a review of a specific person within the pharmacy department. Her name is Diane. I live in the Larkfield area of Santa Rosa, but I am staying in Healdsburg after being evacuated during the Tubbs Fire. I left my home at a moment's notice, taking only my kids. Two prescriptions were left behind; one belonging to me, and one to my daughter. It is crucial for both of us to remain on these medications. I'd heard that I could go to CVS and they'd fill them both. However, due to an unusual circumstance, I was not hopeful I'd be able to get my prescription filled. It can prove frustrating when the person you go to for help does not appear to have any stake in the outcome of your request. I was and am very grateful that Diane took up my cause for me. I didn't walk out at that time with my prescriptions. In fact, I didn't receive them until over 24 hours later. Like I said, the situation surrounding my particular refill was tricky. The circumstances did not fall within normal parameters. Diane made multiple phone calls on my behalf, getting back to me twice on the first day to keep me updated and ask clarifying questions. I honestly did expect to be told it wasn't possible at the first sign of resistance. I was grateful to be wrong. Diane went the extra mile for me and my daughter. Oh, and managed to get my prescription free of charge. At the time I went in to CVS, I didn't yet know if I had a home to return to at the end of the evacuation period. I didn't flee my house looking presentable, and my appearance hadn't improved two days later. I had four of my kids with me. We looked more Beverly Hillbillies than Beverly Hills. I appreciated being treated with dignity and respect, and I appreciated that she seemed to take up my cause as if it were her own. Maybe she wasn't clearing the roadway of fallen trees as people fled the awful fires, but I think it's important to note that a person doesn't have to rescue someone from a burning building to be a hero. read more

They work at Rite-Aid, your review should have been for Rite-Aid---LOL I cannot specially address peoples issues due to HIPPA laws but will state that we must follow all pharmacy laws both for California and Federal and must adhere to the more stringent law in each case. This is the worst pharmacy I have probably ever been to. I'm forced to use it when I am home from school in the summer since it's the closest CVS pharmacy to my parents house but I hate it so so so much. Not once have I had a pleasant interaction with any of the pharmacists. Every single one has at some point treated me terribly. The tall brunette woman is snide and makes me feel like I am wasting her time. The older man is completely inept and when I asked him to explain how I take one of my medications (which had just been prescribed and which I was taking for the first time) he told me I could read the box. Yes sir, I could have, but that white coat you're wearing means you should be able and willing to explain it to me as well. Even when I phone my prescription refill in ahead of time it is rarely ready when it is supposed to be. And each time I go to pick up my prescription I am without fail left waiting for at least 10 minutes - even when I'm the only customer and there are multiple pharmacists!! I'm sorry, but even if you're busy it takes all of three seconds to say "sorry, I'll be with you in just a minute!" But instead they all just ignore me and go about their business. I have never left this pharmacy happy and I dread picking up my monthly prescription. CVS is such a great chain and the pharmacies I go to in LA and Philadelphia are so amazing. I just wish they would wise up and hire pharmacists at this store that are actually willing to help the customer. read more

I hate this pharmacy. Hate. Hate. Hate it. So much so, that I'm taking my business to Rite Aid or Safeway. I used this location because it was convenient when I need to pick up an Rx during the work week. However, when you have an Rx that you phone in at least 24 hours in advance, and the machine prompts you to enter a pick up time, and you do, and then you wait ANOTHER 24 hours, just in case they still haven't filled it, and you show up to get it, and it's STILL not ready. And the lame excuse you are offered was 'We are busy?" and it comes with a huge dose of snide snottiness from the counter person. No thank you. I have gone out of my way to accommodate your lack of planning, and use your phone order refill system as a way to speed up the process, and you are now inconveniencing me? My time is worth way more. I will happily take my service somewhere that is willing to fill my Rx in a timely manner. As a matter of fact, there is nothing your store offers that Rite Aid doesn't. So I won't be spending any money in your store from here on out. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Apparently I caught the only nice pharmacist, Lauren, on a bad day, (and she's the nice one!) The two techs are very sweet, but it's obvious that they are not treated very well. The pharmacist was incredibly rude and insulting without an apology. She was on some kind of an ego trip telling me it's her call when medication is filled, not the Dr. She would not listen to me or let me explain. I am a medical professional and was appalled by her treatment. Will not be back. Transferring all family scripts elsewhere. Unbelievably bad/ rude service. Hopefully she will find employment that will allow her to avoid the general public. read more

Harassed me as to why I was getting a COVID booster, claiming that I did not qualify and loud enough that everyone in line could hear. I walked out horrified. Terrible service! I arrived at 8 AM their opening time and had to wait in the cold before the doors were unlocked. I found the medication I needed and wanted information on the difference between the CVS brand and the other brand. Pharmacy people refused to tell me what the difference was said I needed to go to the front because they weren't open. Google said they were open at 8 AM. I went to the front couldn't find anybody at the register and had to call upstairs to see if anyone was around to help me. She came down and said she couldn't tell me the difference because she wasn't trained, I'd have to ask the pharmacist. Rite Aid. is right behind them and I will be using them forever more. Too bad, I live in the neighborhood, they've lost me as a customer and anyone else I'm directing to a pharmacy. Terrible small town customer service. read more

It's early morning and we go in on a new Years Day today and we're here on vacation, and because all restaurants are serving for take out only, we need to buy some paper plates and substantial plastic cutlery. There'sa woman seemingly sorting some objects in the aisles--e ask her where we can find those items, to which she says, without bothering to look at us--"We have whatever we have ... " Ummm, okaaay. She has a vaguely surly attitude and I get it: she likely doesn't want to be working on New Years Day much less early in the morning. So anyway, we find the paper goods and still, she makes no effort to check us out, so we go to "self checkout," which didn't go so well for us--the automated system wasn't working .... she from afar dais we had to put the "package on another part of the machine," and when finally it became apparent that we weren't going to get this done, she got up from the aisle, and went behind the check out counter. Voila! Bam! Maybe it was muscle memory or something, but suddenly she transformed into another shining personality: she says, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" And as we're leaving, chirps "Have a good day!" It was hysterical and very amusing, as if she went on autopilot as soon as she found herself behind that cashier position :-) I loved it! :-) read more

Consistently bad customer service at the pharmacy counter - slow and cold-shouldered. The final straw was this morning - walked in and the gates were halfway up. I asked if they were open and the male pharmacist just said "hours are posted there" and pointed. Note to staff: it doesn't take any additional effort to say "we'll be open in about 10 minutes if you'd like to wait." But based on past experience I think they really just don't care. We're switching to the Rite-Aid in town - and the CVS guy probably will like that since it means less work for him. Nice. read more

I frequent this CVS because it is local in the area. Tonight my boyfriend drove me over to pick up a thermometer because I'm running a slight fever. While I was picking one out he went over tot he Lotto machine to get a powerball ticket. Hey, gotta play to win, right? Anyways my boyfriend inserted $5 dollars into the machine but was unable to purchase a ticket. The message "printer jam, see attended for assistance" was flashing on the screen. My boyfriend politely asked the worker FOXIENE for assistance like prompted. I have never witnessed such horrible customer service. I hate long reviews so I will wrap this up but she was so rude and aggressive towards my unsuspecting boyfriend I felt the need to write this. Finally after the the fourth unwarranted insult towards us we asked for her name. She refused to give it to us and only gave in when we insured her we would be reporting her to higher management. It was by far the most uncalled for and upsetting experience I have had in a very long time (and I work in customer service). P.s. my boyfriend is convinced she was on drugs. read more

The pharmacy is the worst. Loran McLaughlin, license #4165. I have MS and accidentally had water soak into one out of two bottles of my medications for MS (2 bottles monthly). My neurologist at UCSF prescribed me another 30 tablets (1 bottle) which I needed to survive for the rest of the month. I received a phone call from my physician's coordinator to inform me that CVS is refusing to refill the medication. I asked why, and she did not know. I called the CVS pharmacy, and spoke to the other pharmacist since Loran McLaughlin, the pharmacist who refused to refill my prescription was not working. The male pharmacist stated he did not know why she refused it, but he stated pharmacists do not have to have a reason. I was very angry and felt that I was discriminated. He acknowledged that it was a controlled substance which I concurred but needed for chronic fatigue. I am a physician assistant with a DEA number, I have NEVER had any criminal or professional charges against me. I have never lost my prescription in 4 years asking for another prescription to be refilled early. What gives her the right to refuse me a prescription refill when my neurologist supplied me another prescription. I did refill it at Safeway and told CVS to transfer the ongoing prescription to Safeway immediately. Notified the pharmacy board of CA. The board stated after "investigation", that she did nothing wrong and case closed. What???? So, even though you have a valid prescription from a physician, no red flags seen, he pharmacist can deny your prescription. I finally did speak with the pharmacist that did the investigation. He does not investigate why pharmacist deny prescriptions but if there was anything incorrect on how she denied me the medication. He told me pharmacists can deny anyone prescriptions even if it was valid. Loran McLaughlin should be ashamed of herself and hope you never become sick and have to rely on medications to help with your symptoms. I believe in Karma! Rude staff. Dan Golden is a terrible pharmacist; he and his staff made a gigantic clerical error to which they refused to cop. They outright forgot to fax my doctor to refill my medication on time, and, when asked to produce proof the fax was sent, Dan was unable to comply -- the proof wasn't there. And what did he say? "If we said we sent it, we sent it." Called my doctor after the weekend, NO FAX was received. Period. Guess not. This place seriously needs corporate review, it is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. read more

This Pharmacy is crazy. When I went there for the first time to fill a prescription a few months ago, I gave them my phone number. MY phone number. I only have one phone number that I use, my cell phone. I've also been staying with family for the past few months. This pharmacy keeps calling my Dad's landline number to inform ME that I have a prescription ready to pick up. Also, what the hell are they doing calling anyone at 830pm? By that time, most people are getting ready for bed. This is beyond ludicrous. I thought Target was bad with its 45+ minute wait time, but CVS in Healdsburg makes Target seem peaceful. The worst customer service! While waiting in line for a prescription that was ready for pick up. They called the guy behind me to the pick up window before me. Susan said he was waiting for a prescription that was already ready. I was like...I'm waiting for a prescription that is ready, is it normal for you to randomly pick people out of the line to help? It's been my experience, since maybe the beginning of civilization, that people at the front of the line go before people in the middle or back of the line. If I could give negative ratings I would. This pharmacy has the worst customer service and insane wait periods for items that should be in stock. My son has ADHD and I went to refill an adderall Rx ( he has been on it for 8 Months consistently )and they said it would take a few days to get in. I was surprised since added all is pretty common but came back a few days later when they told me to. After waiting in a long line with my 4 kids, i was told that they never ordered it because the Rx was too old. When I pointed out the date (it showed that it was still within the allowed period of time). They then agreed that the date was ok and then had to order it since they never did when I originally dropped it off. Would have been nice to get a phone call back when i dropped it off if there was an issue. But That would be asking too much. So now a week later we get a call saying it is ready to be picked up. We go to pick it up and the pharmacist refuses to give it to us because it's too close to the expiration date on the Rx. Even though it wasn't expired yet - he felt it was too close and said he was making the call on denying it. This is a medication my son is on daily and now has been off of it a week waiting for them. When i pointed out that it had been a week since i dropped it off and we still were within the time period - he didn't care whatsoever. He didn't care that this was my third time coming in with all 4 of my restless kids. He didn't care that i got a call saying it was ready yet when I got there he refused to give it to me. He didn't care that my sons Dr office was 45 min away and that his doc was very hard to get in to have another apt with so i could get another RX since this CVS does not take faxes. He didn't care that my son hadn't been on his medication now a week because of their mistake - he just wanted this issue off his plate. Healdsburg is a small town but has 3 other pharmacies that i will be giving my business too. CVS is a joke and the pharmacist thinks he can play god with your medication needs.
