Seeing a happy, healthy, sleepy kitty lounging in a store tells me that the staff and the local clientele is kind and whimsical. The world needs more bodega cats, truly. Apparently this kitcat is named Miku and while he does have a human, he spends most of his time roaming town, and clearly lots of time at this CVS. Other than Miku, I thought this CVS was relatively well stocked and very clean. While there was a bit of a line at checkout and I only saw 1 staff member, she was kind. We found what we needed and were in and out quickly.

If you do visit this CVS, don't be surprised if you see a cat lounging in the aisle or helping himself to cat food. The staff seem bored, are unfriendly, and aren't uninterested in helping their customers. What finally prompted me to write this review was the restroom. It was absolutely disgusting: no toilet paper, urine on the floor, feces on the toilet, and even feces in the trash can. It was one of the dirtiest public restrooms I've encountered. The rest of the property isn't much better. The parking lot is always covered in trash, and the store itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The entrance is often blocked by people camped outside with large amounts of belongings, making it difficult to get in and out of the store. During my most recent visit, there was loud music playing while people were asking customers for money. I just wanted to pick up my prescription and leave. Overall, this store needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. It's GROSS!

I always remembered it to be a friendly, family oriented place that I looked forward to going to with my mom. Well I recently moved back to town and things have taken a turn for the worst. Staff are rude, unhelpful, and have an extremely entitled attitude. There was ONE woman who was actually trying to be helpful, but the other staff (two younger girls) bashed her down and acted like she was dumb for asking questions and trying to help me. I tried SIX TIMES over the course of a week to get my prescription and they kept giving me the run around. By the 8th day of trying, I said forget it and I am going to Sebastopol now. (Which Sebastopol family pharmacy has been SO much better already) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE HELPLESS PHARMACISTS. Save yourself the time, energy and headache, and just go somewhere else. Im not sure if it is a hostile work environment or what is going on in there but there were many instances of lack of patient care, inability to do basic follow-up calls to the provider regarding medications and actual passive-aggressive AND aggressive presentation on the phone and in-person. The fact that this standard of care is permitted in this health group is beyond me.

I kept it under wraps as best as I could but this happens way too often where this pharmacy has made an assumption or there's been no response or call after I've left messages. So, I refused to take the improper medication with me. They knew I was angry but I remained professional yet adamant. No cursing, no yelling, the prescription was on the counter and I pushed it away from me towards the csr and said "I don't want it, I have to go (I did, I had a client). I'll call later." They wrote me up and submitted it to the clinic. No one was verbally abused and the prescription I pushed forward didn't come within a foot of touching the service person. I've been in Customer Service most of my working career (I'm in my 50s now) and I know better than to make it personal. Insane. They do have it all on camera which I'm glad for (although I don't think it caught the small amount I pushed the box forward). Hopefully, with the audio as well. They're trying, but it's not a well run organization.
