I stopped by this CVS and was really disappointed by the condition of the restroom. It was dirty, overflowing with trash, toilet paper was all over the floor, and the walls and floors looked like they had not been cleaned in quite some time. This CVS is clean and all the employees working there were very friendly and helpful. All of the shelves were neatly organized and you could easily check out using the cash register or through their self check out machines. I went there because I needed a passport picture because my passport had expired. There was no line, which was great. An employee helped us right away. This was a quick process, which I appreciated. The new calling system here, to speak with a Pharmacist, is absolutely ridiculous. One needs to provide their date of birth when calling about the price of something and the bot asks a bunch of irrelevant questions. It took me 4 minutes of speaking to this robot before it put me through to even be able to leave a voicemail message to have the pharmacist call me back. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I've been a patient prescribed the same medication for over five years, always compliant and respectful, never requesting an early refill or having any issues with my doctor. I've filled this same prescription at this CVS location for more than two years even paying cash for all of 2024 while I was uninsured and never once had a problem. On October 9, 2025, that changed. The pharmacist refused to fill my valid prescription, saying he needed a prior authorization from my insurance. When I explained that I had paid cash many times before, he became frustrated and wouldn't answer when I asked how many times I'd done so. Even after my doctor personally called to verify that I'm a compliant, established patient, the pharmacist still refused to fill it. I left the store feeling judged and disrespected, as if the name of my medication mattered more than my medical history or the doctor's verification. I've always treated staff here with courtesy, but this experience was humiliating and made me feel profiled for the type of medicine I take. Patients deserve to be treated like people -- not assumptions. I hope CVS corporate takes this seriously and ensures that no one else is denied proper care or dignity because of the medication they're prescribed. read more

Crazy pharmacist at the top of her voice at another patient who was a very nice 75 years old gentleman. It wasn't his fault and he was just trying to explain and she was jumping down his throat and yelling. He never raised his voice or got excited and was very kind. She was yelling over and over and shaking her finger in his fave. It was very abusive. It was elder abuse plain and simple. Being the most egregious thing I have ever seen. I asked her to stop and she started to attack me. She literally threatened me. He left very upset and didn't get his medications. Two more of us left and met out front to talk, literally shaking and frightened. Phoebe should not be working in healthcare let alone with the public. I am so disgusted with CVS for letting somebody treat others that way. This store is just getting worse by the minute. There are plenty of ways to talk to a person and be inquisitive but yelling for 10 minutes at everyone around you is not it. I am reporting this to adult protective services. read more

The staff at CVS in Windsor is so helpful, friendly, and professional. I'm a regular customer there and see how hard they work! I always try to be patient when I go there. Sometimes they may have a line but their job is so important and can't be rushed. I want rip off my ears hearing it tell me the same line about forward slash vaccines. The music loop is incomplete too, so every thirty seconds the call goes completely silent and gets your hopes up. This directly conflicts with the last time I called. They did a partial refill because of a shortage and said I could get the last 4 at a later time. Wow. I just got off the phone with this store. I was calling to ask if the pharmacist could start a tare so that I could get reimbursed for my medications. The tech gets on the phone, has a snarky tone (you could literally hear her rolling her eyes) and cuts me off before I could finish speaking. Then, when I tell my fiancé that she should just do her job, she starts in with "EXCUSE ME?? WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" And then proceeds to hang up on me. When I called back and was speaking to another employee, you could hear her SCREAMING in the background "if she wants to be polite to me then I'll help her!!" Ok. To begin with MARY, you were incredibly rude from the get go, so why don't you take your own advice. Secondly, whatever happened to customer service?? So you get to act however you like and we are just supposed to take it? I don't think so. Lastly, you work in healthcare. Why don't you learn to actually care and then maybe people wouldn't respond in a negative manner. Very unprofessional. Go get a job in another field where you do not have to deal with people at all. Went to buy a product shown in their app with availability at this store... The price was 30% higher in the store and was told that the app is online pricing and they wouldn't match it. The app says nothing about online pricing only, but does give availability at local srores. Went to Amazon, paid for one day shipping and still paid less than the CVS app price... Unfortunately, trying to shop at brick and mortar business doesn't pay sometimes. I went to buy tweezers at CVS today. Their beauty tools section was almost completely empty and all they had was one pair of tweezers for $28! The most I usually pay is $6. So I decided to leave but I found a mini tweezer, just one, by the front checkout. I grabbed it cause I had a 40% off coupon and I thought I could make a tiny tweezer work. It rings up as $10.87. I present my coupon and cashier says it doesnt apply. I read the exclusions it says no sale items. So I asked her if this was a sale price. She said no. So I asked why it wasn't working. She just shrugged, like all shoulders and eye rolls. I keep asking her to see why it won't work. I shop at a different CVS all the time and no problems. I do know the rules. Finally she gets a manager. The manager cant figure out why the discount won't work. Then she goes in the back and comes out and says "It is on sale". Weird right? I mean how is anybody supposed to know if even the employees don't know and the manager has to spend time going g over past prices? I just left, without tweezers. I was in the store today and had two needs. First was inquiring about getting a covid vaccination. I was very polite and asked about getting a Johnson and Johnson shot. She immediately got hostile and blurted out, NOPE! and she started to walk away from me. I asked whether they would ever have it and by this time she was half-way back to her desk and barked at me without even looking at me - "NEVER!" Then, I went to ask the cashier whether we had any discount points in our account (we pay $5/mo to get $10 worth of points). She replied, "you have to buy something first!" What? Not a good experience. Was told they could not fill the prescription because they had none in stock. We are talking a very common medication. Walked over to the Safeway pharmacy and filled the prescription and the people were helpful on the dosing instructions. It seems that the CVS store and pharmacy always has a problem, either with the pharmacy, items not in stock etc. One last gripe, what is with the 5 ft long receipt each time you check out. The low ratings of CVS pharmacy are accurate! They call with a question and don't leave a message; when you call back their automatic answering is painful. It is almost unbearable to speak with the robot. The Brook Street CVS will message you that the prescription is ready for pick up; When you go to pick it up it is not ready and they tell you to come back in 20 minutes. An unreliable and unorganized pharmacy. I would avoid this pharmacy and choose the Safeway Pharmacy that is close by. Their customer service isn't all that great either. Not only would they take days on end to have my medication ready, but they would have the wrong mg dosage and would be rude about it. Each time I was in line, I would hear the people in front of me or after complaining about the same issues of not having their medications ready for pick up, even after I was called with an automated message indicating that they were! I am surprised CVS employees at corporate level haven't done anything to resolve this issue. They need to fire everyone who works in the this pharmacy and start with a new group of pharmacists who know what they're doing. read more

If I could give it a - 1 I would!! lately every time I go in there the new cashier spends so much time trying to talk and argue with people about getting a CVS card that the line gets long and she doesn't focus on what she needs to. Everyone in line gets frustrated, she messes up the order and has to call for help which takes forever to come. It's insane. My wife and I have been going here for 5 years. There service has turned into virtually no service. We are unable to get our prescriptions filled on time unable to get new scripts from doctors filled and they often don't have medications in stock. I called to speak with a pharmacist and had to wait on hold for 25 minutes without any communication. A girl named Julia picked up I told her of our troubles she told me we should go somewhere else!! The customer service from the Pharmacist Manager is atrocious. The charge for a 2nd refill on my prescription was $50 more than the original. I called the Pharmacy and the manager said it was because that is what the insurance covered. When I asked why it was $50 more and that I checked online and it should have been a total of $10, she said the $10 cost was mail order and the cost at the retail store was $60. I told her that the mail order (Caremark SilverScript price should be EXACTLY the same as the CVS retail price). She vehemently disagreed. I told her that she was in error and I had the mail order and retail prices on my screen. Her answer -- Well no matter what you have, if you come in I will tell you the exact same thing. Of course, I called Caremark SilverScript and, lo and behold, the Caremark mail order price IS TO BE THE SAME as the CVS retail store price. CVS, you need to make a change in the management of your pharmacy. Thank goodness you have a conscientious and congenial person at the register (Sarah). read more

This store is going to kill someone. For starters I had my medicine sent here and they forgot to fill it. Then they said they had to call my doctor, which never happened. I had to call my doctor again to see what was happening. My doctor said that the medicine had over a year of refills on it. So I'm 3 days in with no medicine. Total incompetence!!!! Please go some place else. There is a Raleys with a pharmacy next door. DO NOT USE this store. Wednesday I waited in line for half an hour to pick up a prescription that was scheduled to be ready the day before. I was told it wasn't ready and I should come back tomorrow. Thursday I returned but the pharmacy was randomly closed. Friday the pharmacy was open but I waited in line 2 hours and ten minutes while one person ran the register, administered vaccines, and filled prescriptions. The worst!! Several times I went here during Covid and there was a sign that they closed early. Was told by someone that it was because of poor management and because they couldn't keep good employees. Tonight, yay they are open, but then the checker forced me to use self checkout. 2 ladies were there and they watched me checkout. The clerk said they need people to be familiar with the system and not wait in line if they are busy. Shouldn't that be a personal choice? The system was very temperamental and slow. Another woman was waiting behind me with the clerk standing next to her, forcing her to use the self check too, just to purchase a few things. Just bizarre! She had to wait with 2 clerks standing there. Unfortunately too another visit wherein the shelves aren't stocked and the store is dirty. I should have gone to Safeway but wanted to get in and out in a smaller store. So much for that. Such a shame this is the only drugstore we have in Windsor. read more

I really dislike this CVS. The employees who work there seem miserable, and the store always seems to be out of stock on things I need. Once time, I had photos printed there, and their automatic notification service called me at least once a week for a couple months to tell me that my order was ready. When I called the store to ask them to stop, they told me there was nothing they could do. That being said, it is right down the street from me and the only drugstore in Windsor. The only bonus is that I get 20%-30% off coupons mailed to me each week. read more

One thing has not changed about this location: You will *always* have to wait in line. But - I've taken to coming here a lot more often lately. It's much quieter than Walmart, and there is a cashier here who is just all smiles, all the time, and just downright super friendly. I'll have to get her name next time. The floor around the pharmacy's counter is always filthy. It has been that way for years. It's gross. They are constantly short staffed, and don't blame the pandemic because it was like that many years ago as well. If someone answers the phone at all when you call them they are always in a hurry and rude, they cut you off while you are still explaining what you need. You stand in line for sometimes an hour, just to find out that your medications are not ready, even though they said they would, then you have to wait around the store, nowhere to sit, for them to finally fill them. The only decent thing is that they are open on week ends and some other pharmacies aren't, so that can be convenient. COVID Made everything worse of course, but like I emphasized before, the same issues have been ongoing for years and management obviously does not care. Time to look for a better run business. read more

Santa Rosa seems to have poor pharmacy services compared to everywhere else that I have lived in the US but this is the best place that I can find so if you are in the area it is definitely worth checking out (especially if you want to save 10-20$). read more
