Greek omelet with pancake and coffee
Kristen D.

Never disappointed with a Cranberries experience. The food is nothing to write home about, but it always tastes good. The service is hit or miss. Usually, it is really good, but the last few times, coffee refills were sparse, and the food has been lukewarm. The restaurant itself is smaller, but I think it adds to the charm. Overall, it is somewhere I will keep coming back to :)

Food was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly. Had a couple of omelettes and hot coffee. All at a reasonable price. Dinner menu prominently displayed on a white board - with some incredible choices.

Kitschy, yes, but despite that the food is genuinely spectacular…read more Bratwurst was super flavorful and cooked perfectly with a caramelized outside, a good snap, and a moist inside. The pretzel bun was heated appropriately and had the right amount of flavor. The optional spicy mustard is really powerful. My only possible complaint would be that the spatzle were a bit on the soggy side, perhaps overcooked. That said, the spatzle also come with an incredible sauerbraten gravy. My only regret, really, is not having had dessert.

Atmosphere is fun, it really embraces the German decor (saw a review or too calling it kitschy, in a good way, which I think is a fair description). Service is friendly and attentive (and in the costumed German garb to keep with the themes). Lots of classic German dishes (several schnitzel varieties, brats, spatzel, etc.). I won't say anything I've had over the years blows me away, but haven't had a bad choice either. The Wiener schnitzel I had most recently was tender and tasty, with a perfectly fried batter, and the German fries were nicely crisped on the exterior and beautifully seasoned. Good beer selection (including some brewed for the restaurant), reasonable wine list...love that you can go all out and have your beer in the classic giant boot! Small gift shop as well, some souvenir items as well as some candies and food options.

As you can see in the picture, they looked, and tasted like frozen fish fillets that you can get at any local grocery store. The inside more closely resembled fish mush than actual fish. Others' food tasted fine, but some came out barely warm, as was the case with my German potatoes. While the restaurant had a small town charm and friendly staff, I can't say that I will be back. The long wait wasn't worth the mediocre food.

We decided to go for dinner on Sunday evening and at first we were seated inside. It was a bit stuffy inside and so we asked Ian, our waiter, if we could sit outside and keep him as our server. He said yes and we sat in their clean and comfortable outdoor seating area. Unsure of what to order, I asked Ian for a recommendation. He said their pizza was really good and we could get a 16" unlimited topping pizza with breadsticks for $31. Let me tell you, his recommendation was absolutely incredible. The pizza came out hot fresh more toppings than you could ask for and the breadsticks were just as good! This pizza for sure is one of the top five best pizzas I have had at a restaurant. If you get the chance and are in French lick for any amount of time, make sure you go to Kelley's and order the pizza! My wife and I both highly recommend!

A few years ago while on one of our regular trips to the Jasper, Indiana area to visit my wife's family, many of our regular restaurant locations were closed when we stopped to grab a late dinner. Not wanting fast food, we decided to stop at this Applebee's location on the North end of town. Our experience and continued experiences here have made this a regular stop for us. We were greeted as we walked in the door by two young ladies who genuinely seemed to enjoy their job instead of the typical attitude displayed by so many service workers who seemed put out for having to look up from their phones. The entire server and bar staff were engaging, friendly, and helpful during our visit, and when we made a special order to accommodate my wife's dairy allergy, they took our requests seriously. It is a very comfortable place to relax, unwind from the road, and enjoy a meal and cold beer before heading to our hotel for the night. The food has been excellent on each visit and prepared perfectly. Portion sizes are huge, so I usually order off the appetizer menu and have always left satisfied. My wife loves their Chicken Oriental Salad. They also offer a full selection of ice-cold draft beers in either 16-ounce or 22-ounce glasses. A perfect treat to finish out a long day traveling. We will return here as long as they continue to offer the service and quality they do.

This is the best breakfast/brunch spot…read more Cafe Pina is definitely one of our favorite restaurants ever. The menu changes seasonally with new items, but still has classics you can expect all year round. They also have weekly specials that include non-menu items that are often themed for holidays/special occasions. This morning we got to enjoy some of this season's winter menu. I had the fuyu sando, my husband had the country cabin crunchwrap, and our son had the O-G pancakes with chocolate chips/strawberries/blueberries. I also had a cookie butter chai and my husband had coffee. Everything was phenomenal, like always. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant itself is bright, open, and just cheerful. If you're in the area this is a must stop. If you are local, they do so much more than brunch. They have a bakery across the hall, they do catering, private dinners, special nights for dinner. With tip, $57.75. The country fried steak was the thinnest I have ever gotten. The gravy that came with it to dip in was hyped up on the menu as being delicious. It tasted like the cheapest 50 cent store brand instant gravy packet. Almost zero flavor. I did appreciate the avocado and garlic aioli flavor in the wrap. The country fries ( cubes ) tasted stale , like they were fried, then kept warm. Neither of us ate but two bites each. Ketchup didn't help.
