First and foremost, save your time and don't even walk into this place. I mean that for dining in and picking up. I wish I could give ZERO stars. Where do I begin? First, I want to acknowledge their intentions with serving the community they're in. I understand that every business wants to survive and attract customers, but at what cost? The music choice felt intentional in a way that seemed to invite the kind of energy that leads to negative interactions in the establishment. They could easily consistently play R&B or classic hip-hop and create a better atmosphere. My community doesn't need anyone coming in stirring up trouble and tearing down the goodness we are doing for the sake of financial gain. Situations erupt there often and there is no one to blame but them. You get what you put out. Second, the outside of the building was dirty and smelled strongly like cigarettes before I even walked in. Trash was visible as well. Now onto the food. Honestly, you're better off making your own boil bags at home. We ordered multiple bags with "The Boom," which is supposed to be all of their seasonings mixed together. Instead, it tasted like oily dirt. I mean ZERO flavor. I was genuinely upset because we spent almost $100 and the bags and ate two bites. I'm getting mad all over again just thinking about it. I also ordered the fried oysters. The fry on them was actually perfect, but once again, the seasoning was completely missing. At that point I felt like filing a missing seasoning report with the police because how does everything come out with zero flavor? I mean, you're right next to Walmart for goodness sake! It was just us two moms and four kids, so getting everyone settled and comfortable could've been chaotic, but our waiter did an awesome job helping us get situated right away. He was patient, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was flavorful, fresh, and came out quickly, which is always appreciated with kids at the table. Food was "meh". Not enough flavor and the boil bag's sauce was pretty much oil. The server was horrible. I think because they automatically put the tip on the bill, the server doesn't think she has to try to do anything. It was also entirely too loud in there. I asked if they'd turn it down, the server said no the dj controls the volume. Didn't even try. She never checked on us and forgot the sides for the fried fish order. The rice was hard and gross. Wings and drinks! This spot is located in the shopping center off nine mile road and it does not give east end Richmond vibes! I thought I was on the west end dining for a second! It's new clean and the food is delicious! It's a seafood spot but we happened to be there for happy hour and tried the wings and a few drinks! This was my second visit. First visit the service was extremely slow. Slow to the point where we were waiting on our drinks so long I physically had to walk up to the bar and say "hey we ordered two drinks about 15 minutes ago" to a bartender who was just standing and talking to two guests at the bar. The bar was empty. She just wasn't paying attention to anything else. I ordered a crab boil last time and they only give you plastic forks. Not able to open crabs that way. Very strange. Second visit, same deal. Waited about 10 min to even be greeted and this time I was at the bar. I ordered their happy hour drink (a $4 ciroc shot and a $3 Chardonnay). Instant headache. It tasted nothing like ciroc and I doubt it really was. I love ciroc so I know exactly how it tastes. I wouldn't be surprised if they fill their expensive bottles with cheap liquor like a lot of places do. This time I ordered the Cajun fried rice with shrimp. It was OK. At least they gave lots of shrimp. They need better service and better drinks. read more

My husband has an accent, so obviously the waiter didn't understand what he asked for. I can't believe this place is still open, much less popular. Every time I consider this place, my skin crawls. The roaches were friendly, but the workers weren't....First of all, even after asking twice, it took FOREVER for us to receive our waters. When we finally received our food--after waiting 30 minutes--my friend discovered a roach in it after we had already begun to eat. We immediately stopped, and by this point, I was so fed up that I almost threw up.
