1lb of snow grab legs and 1/2lb of shrimp with the head on.- very salty
    Nicole N.

I was craving seafood and decided to give this place a try despite the reviews already being low. I should have listened... There is plenty of free parking but the outside of the building looks like it is falling apart. The inside had a lot of fun colors, decorations and decor! Very fun! The service was just ok. Very quiet server and I felt like I got forgotten. There weren't many people there, so it would have been nice to have the server check in. The food: The pop here tasted like cleaner... I suppose it's good they are cleaning their fountain soda machine, but I shouldn't taste it. The fried calamari was very hard and chewy. It was also only rings when the picture shows the tentacles as well. I would not get that again. The snow crab and shrimp were good but the house seasoning is overly salty and no garlic! I love when there are bits of garlic in the sauce! Overall I would compare this to the same level as a red lobster. Nothing special and if you are craving a seafood boil, there are definitely better ones around!

    This is what we ordered.

My daughter had cravings for seafood boil late one evening and I looked up the nearest location. They are about to close in 30 minutes. I called the restaurant to see if we can place an order to pickup and the guy said sure. We showed up 10 minutes before closing and the food was just about done and packing. Order the seafood platter if you want a variety, otherwise if you're just craving one item they sell by pound. Boom seasoning is recommended. The restaurant is nice, decorated with fishing nets and sharks, lobster, and other sea creatures. Big dining room, can accommodate small and large parties. They have a parking lot as well.

Walking into Crafty Crab with a party of six, we were ready to roll up our sleeves, tie on our bibs, and get messy seafood boil style! And oh, did it deliver. Crafty Crab served up a fun, flavorful feast for our group of six from fresh, briny raw oysters to a massive, mouthwatering King's Platter with snow crab legs, crispy onion rings, and a surprisingly tasty chicken salad, it was messy, delicious, and a total seafood-lover's dream! Service was fantastic and attentive. Always being aware of our every need and checking in on our meal and seeing if we needed anything more. 9/10 Come hungry, bring friends and don't wear a white shirt.

This was the 2nd time we've been here and I was craving a seafood boil! We ordered to go as we don't live nearby and wanted to eat at home. We love mussels, but weren't a fan of the ones we got as the texture wasn't the way we've had them before. We called to alert the manager (we don't do this often!) and he made it right. We went back in and they replaced them with something of our choosing. My rating would have been very different if we didn't go back and swap out those. (It would have also been a 5 star without them!). We got the fried shrimp. OMG!!! This was the best fried shrimp I've ever had!!! You need to get them! Normally we wouldn't get a fried shrimp basket because I'm used to the frozen breaded style shrimp from most places. This blew my socks off! If Raising Cane's breading and a fresh juicy shrimp had a baby... that would be how good their shrimp basket was!!! We also love love loved the hush puppies. My grandmother raised us with southern style cooking and these were just like hers! I recommend getting the spice blend rubbed on them! So good! The fried catfish wasn't fishy and it was flakey and fresh. My hubby got a side of the gumbo and he really enjoyed. Overall, there is great management at this location and they really know how hospitality works. We don't complain often unless something is really off, but he impressed us! We will be back for that tasty fried shrimp... it's worth the drive!!!

It was something new to try. I always drive pass it so I decided to go try it. Honestly i was disappointed with the place. Food: The price of the king crab was unreasonable. The king crab was about $65 for only two legs and they werent even big. The sauce was super salty and when it came out of the kitchen the food was barely hot. It was just warm. The oysters sauce was salty and the oysters itself was small. Maybe it was just me, but I literally thought that 1/2 lb was a good decent amount of food, but honestly i don't know what their 1/2lb of crawfish or seafood was. Only ate like two crawfish and overall had only 6 crawfish. I was literally counting the crawfish . I am disappointed in the corn because the corn wss overcook. The boil egg was good to the seafood boil. But overall, the sauce and amount was ok. It is not the best place i have gone to and i am not sure if i would come back. I think the king crab was too pricey for only getting two leg. Overall, it is oka, if you want to try something go ahead. The services was ok, but it could have been better.

Great ambiance and great seafood boil. We got an order of shrimp to share and then two snow crab seafood platters. I loved that you could select your level of spice and mix and match seasonings. We did the combination seasonings, medium spice, potatoes, corn, egg, shrimp and crab. Such a fun experience.

This is a repeat visit for my family. We love the seafood broil here. We usually order the lobster special with lemon pepper and it is delish! The service is great, very attentive and always ready to answer our questions. The place is also nicely decorated and fits the theme!

This is my favorite Sea Food boil spot in the Twin Cities so far. Although the the price is a little steeper than other sea food boil places, they make up for it in the excellent quality of there Crab legs and Shrimp (what I mainly get) which for me makes it worth the price. Also the service is very nice and caring. It does get crowded sometimes, especially on the weekend which I understand why with the quality of this restaurant. The decorations and vibe of the place is really nice too, to match with the quality of the place. Usually stores have one or the other but Crafty Crab has both and better which is why it's my favorite sea food boil today.

The food was delicious and came super fast! The crab was cooked so well I didn't even need to use a cracker to get the meat out. The shrimp was large and easy to peel. The corn and potatoes were super tasty with the sauce! The service was great our waitress was super kind, quick, and attentive! The ambiance is great they have good music and the decoration is very cool!!

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I work with a diverse group of people, with many Ethnic backgrounds. And as much as I love (prefer) burgers and wraps, I have also come to enjoy rice and noodles. My doctor team had to work on Saturday and we get lunch "catered". Typical delivery options: JJs, Davani's, Chipolte, Vietnamese or Thai. But a new option was presented to the team: FILIPINO cuisine! My mind went "oh no, something new. (Insert grimace face). I know what to order at the regular places. Will I even like it?" On Thursday, I looked at the online menu and grabbed "A" (a Filipino coworker) and asked what things were. I'm not a fan of SPICY SPICY food (like Indian) and she assured me I was safe here. I asked about the noodles (glass and flour mixed with vegetables, similar to fried rice). She said they'll be dry but full of flavor. Lumpia are miniature egg rolls (thin, flaky wrapper). BBQ pork skewer (self explitory). I decided on Combo #1! Saturday: Holy smokes! This is my new favorite place. Let's start back with the noodles. Yes they are dry, but the catering box came with sauces (soy, sweet chili and HOT sauce). I added a little bit of soy just to add wetness to be able to swirl the fork, but the flavor is on point. The egg rolls..2 is not enough. Give me at least 6 and all the sweet chili sauce. Very addictive. The bbq pork skewer... If I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was steak. I was delighted to taste smokiness from the grill. I could imaging eating this at a 4th of July picnic. Combo #1 was filling. Half of the office ordered the combo #1 and the other half did the Combo #2 (Chicken Adabo). How good it tasted was all anyone could talk about the rest of the day between seeing patients. I have no doubt we'll be ordering this again in the future. Again, I was shown that trying new things isn't always a bad thing.

And while the crowd might trend older, these people have aged gracefully, maintaining a sense of cool. The story behind Crooners is fantastic. A former teacher, the woman owner made money building health facilities. She fell in love with a piano man on a cruise and built Crooners as a testament to her loving spouse. Sadly, her husband passed away before Crooners came to fruition. Her philanthropic work for developing countries and the indigent is well documented. She has a big heart. This was our first time at Crooners, and to test the waters, we drove up the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend to enjoy a R & B lounge singer in the free Maggie's Piano Lounge. While the sightlines at Maggie's are ridiculous (it's used as a holding pen for the bigger venues, and the patrons coming and going block your view), we had a great time. Dave, the vigilant and hard-working manager for all of Crooners, also acts as publicist, and was kind enough to show us the other venues. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Marci was our server, and she covers the rooms like a safety on a football field. How she knows when everyone is ready for another drink, to order, or for the check is magical. The food was good, and the menu covers all tastes. We enjoyed Crooners and will return when the performer matches our taste. Knowing what to expect helps. The Minneapolis metro area is fortunate to have a music venue that caters to music lovers outside the mainstream. Go and support Crooners. You'll enjoy yourself.

The restaurant itself is really beautiful and it's also very big. I guessed 200 seats plus patio. The space is very elegant, and clearly a lot of attention went into the design. I would describe it as kind of modern steakhouse vibe. Dark wood, faux fur and leather finishes, etc. Elegant. We were seated at a booth by the bar with a big window view of the patio and parking lot. We were immediately slightly offput because the marble ledge separating the booth from the window was dirty - grease and little food crumbs. Not the best first impression. The booth and table were both clean though. Our waitress, Ash, did provide good service but I would say honestly she was a bit too attentive if that makes sense, and she was also too chatty for us. There were several times when she lingered at our table to tell us something we didn't inquire about or to just talk about something. It was a bit annoying honestly. But the service itself was good. We were also visited by a manager during our visit. We each got a mocktail (it was lunch) but they have an impressive drink menu. I got the Red Rose which was really tasty, and my husband got the pineapple drink, which he also said was good. -We ordered the chimichuri shrimp appetizer, which was pretty banging. Four really large shrimp, each on its own piece of bruschetta, doused in chimichuri sauce. Even for me, with a low spice tolerance, it was just the right amount of spice and it was really really good. -We also got a round of oysters. The oysters themselves were fresh - no complaints there. When they were delivered to our table, the person did not tell us which variety was which (pretty standard when serving oysters at any restaurant). Because we eat oysters a lot and one of the varieties was sweet petite, it was fairly easy to tell which was which. But in my opinion, there should have been information given when the oysters were served. The other big issue was the shucking. Some of the oysters hadn't been fully separated from the shell, and we both found ourselves picking bits of shell from our mouths. We actually had a little discussion about the $6 price tag. I felt it was reasonable, my husband felt it was high. But for $6 apiece, the oysters need to be shucked properly and these were not. Ash also made a point to tell us all kinds of information we didn't ask for about their happy hour, which includes $3 oysters. That would be a steal if they learn how to shuck them. -I got the half french dip sandwich, and I was really glad I just ordered the half because what I was served was totally a whole sandwich in my book. The accompanying fries were delicious, crispy, deep golden brown and hot. The au jus served with the sandwich was slightly on the salty side but not terrible. And I do realize it's au jus. In all it was a pretty decent sandwich. -Hubby got the sea bass sandwich, which was also pretty tasty. I'll be honest and say that I think the entree sea bass would have been better. The fish was so good that I don't honestly think you needed the bun. But it was really good and fresh and delicious. We skipped dessert. In all, a pretty solid dining experience and the food was very good. But it was the minor things mentioned that bothered us, so 3 stars with room for improvement upon our return.

The food is mostly good, although there is something missing still that could make this restaurant truly one of the best in the state. Still, it's a great night out, especially if you like Korean and/or Chinese food. Here's a rundown: The food: First and foremost, Minari has special menus to meet many dietary restrictions. Not just symbols on one menu, but different menus depending on your restrictions. That's amazing. We ordered off of the Dairy Free (DF) menu, which does include a lot of their dishes from the regular menu. The Szechuan Ribs were my favorite, they are exquisite. The KFC wings are good too, although they could have used a bit more sauce (I am used to Korean-style wings being pretty saucy). The pork jowl was good but did not have quite enough gojuchang flavor. The accompaniments that came with it were awesome, especially the sauces. The bonchon need some work; I would love to see more traditional bonchon, ours had a couple "fusion" type dishes that were a little too contemporary for us. The drinks: The Minari Old Fashioned was AWESOME, a great drink (and the rice cracker was great too). Highly recommend this. The service was some of the best in the metro. From entering (where the host stand will make sure you have appropriate menu(s)), to the server, who was perfectly attentive and very knowledgeable about every dish, including dietary issues, to the complimentary tea and birthday sparkling wine, I can't say enough about the service here. The only weird thing is the dim sum, I would actually just put the dim sum dishes on the menu and bring them out on demand. The ambiance was really nice, and the bathrooms were clean. The final thing I would say is that I think that Minari could benefit from making their Korean dishes a little bit more traditional...as I mentioned earlier, small touches like making the wings a bit "saucier," more gojuchang flavor on the dishes that feature it, and more traditional bonchon would all be great. Still, this is a phenomenal place to dine/drink in NE Minneapolis, and if you like Korean and Chinese food, you will not be disappointed!
