Shrimp and pork dim sum + crab ramyeon
    Ben R.

Great place for photos. Service wasn't too bad, had an Asian lady who looked like she was in a hurry. Terrible place for food. You can tell the noodles and outside of dim sum was handmade. The noodles felt clumpy, the dim sum wrap was hard in some areas. My S/O ordered the buldak gnocchi, it's nothing like buldak (not spicy, the rigatoni was spicier). As for the dessert menu, it was my golden birthday and I could only pick ice cream as a dessert, so stingy. Will never go here again, food is definitely not authentic.

I was pretty disappointed with the food, but the ambience and service is quite good. We had a very friendly server but the drink service was just a tad slow as I could see the bar directly and saw lots of drinks sitting for quite a while. The kpop drink was good, easy to drink and sweet. The only food item I really enjoyed was the jjajang toast. The bread was crispy and the sauce was delicious. I also enjoyed the beef tartare, however it was not like beef tartare at all. Instead, it resembled yukhoe which I'm sure it was made to pay homage to. I just figure it'd make more sense to name it yukhoe if that's what it's going to taste like since beef tartare isn't super saucy beef. The kfc wings were very heavily breaded and very light on the sauce. I expect Korean fried chicken to be covered in sauce but that was not the case. The dumplings were alright but it makes more sense to go to an actual dim sum restaurant as the squid ink wrapping didn't make much of an impact on the flavor of the dish. I got the scallop hand roll, not pictured, and it was tasty but I was a bit off put with the plastic between the main ingredients and the nori. The only reason to do that is to persevere freshness and keep the nori from getting soggy when the roll has been premade. If you're not able to make a fresh hand roll, I'd say just don't have them on your menu. Our dumplings tasted like they'd been out for a bit while the table next to us got visibly steaming dumplings. The dessert was also disappointing. The butter mochi was cold and grainy. Butter mochi is best served warm so I was very disappointed with the texture and quality of it. The cherry yuzu jam on top was delicious though, I'd buy a jar of that.

Very well done. Although not sure my insides appreciated all of the fermented nibbles, everything was very good from the food to the cocktails to the service.

The vibe in Minari is very cool, my friend and I stopped by after we could not get into another nearby restaurant. Minari was busy but had space and we were seated within 10 minutes. Now I've been to Minari a second time and it was just as amazing as I remember it the first time. Everything here is good! But the wings are to tie for. Best wings in the twin cities!

Minari is such a vibe! The elegance and deep sultry red in the Pikok Lounge felt high end ans cozy. From the real scented candles to the gold peacock and oversized black planter with Pothos plants to the red velvet long booth seating everything felt right. We shared the Sweet Soy Korean Chicken Wings, Bluefish Tuna, Grilled Rice Cakes, and kimchi as a complementary accoutrement. For my drink, I had Chosun, which was very refreshing and citrus. The wait staff at the bar was very helpful and attentive. Definitely kept on it throughout the evening. Plus, I loved the individual bathrooms. It is really nice touch.

Wow!! I ended up here after on a whim after a near by restaurant we had reservations at was unexpectedly closed. Since Minari is a popular spot, I was surprised to be seated immediately as a walk in group -- Our spontaneous night was made even better by the food, atmosphere, and service here! If you are visiting with a group open to sharing, I would recommend ordering a variety of options as a table and taking advantage of their dim sum menu. We started the night with a PAZU N/A Cocktail, which was light warm and packed a punch of flavor. The KFC Wings easily hit the #1 wing spot after the first bite and we considered getting another order. The flank steak was perfectly cooked, but I would have enjoyed trying more dim sum, pasta, or apps since everything was uniquely delicious! Overall an amazing experience!! I expect to be back and will be on my list of spots to show off to visitors!

Such a fun restaurant and food was great. The vibes are awesome - very packed on a Friday or Saturday night. It will be an expensive night, but that's what all Minneapolis dining restaurants are like these days.

Got happy hour with a girl friend on Thursday night. We didn't have a reservation but we walked in at 4:45pm and didn't wait. We grabbed two seats at the bar and the bartenders came over quick! We ordered 4 drinks total, the high ball #3 (which was my fave!), the bonzi buddy, KPop, and the more you know. For food we ordered the pork ribs, shrimp toast sandwich, the grilled rice cakes and a caviar nugget. The shrimp toast was so good! It's much bigger than we were expecting but in the best way possible! The toast was so crispy but the shrimp inside was still very juicy! The caviar nugget was my next favorite. It was my first time having caviar and I felt super fancy :) the ribs were big and meaty! The sauce on them was delicious. I believe it was a gochujung based sauce. The space was very cute! Minari is attached but you couldn't hear any noise from in there. The playlist they had on hit! Great vibes all around.

This meal was utterly ridiculous at minari ..... in all the best ways dined with my favorite company, savored every sip of our cocktails (literally -- so good), and tried my first-ever squid ink anything. the pastas? superb. I didn't leave a single bite behind -- partly because yes, it's a little pricey... but mostly because it was that good. the ambiance, the service, the flavors... worth every penny. if Minari isn't on your 2025 bucket list yet, add it. you'll understand the second you sit down. our sips & eats in order: crab ramyeon -- my order. my personal favorite on the table. SO good. sacred city on the left -- malt gin & surprisingly delicious and light. kumiho on the right -- a bananaish delicious espresso martini. squid ink dumplings -- my first bite of squid ink and sadly won't be the last, so good. gochujang vodka rigatoni -- also delicious, with a teeny kick. dan dan mafaldini - creamy, delicious and a little heavier than the two above.

This has quickly become one of my go to spots in the city. First, the restaurant sets a nice and sophisticated vibe, which makes it perfect for many different occasions and celebrations. I've been here twice, and service was impeccable both times. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and are great at making suggestions. Now, the food is just great! There's not much else to say. I tried multiple dishes here, and I have no complaints about anything I tried. This is Asian fusion at the next level; every dish was super flavorful with unique character. This place is definitely a special gem. I love it!

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Minari and it was a 10/10 experience! The server gave me and my friends, a champagne toast, and make sure everybody was accommodated! My Dan Dan noodles were exceptional, but I especially loved the Wagyu that my friend ordered. The atmosphere feels clubby and romantic at the same time :) I can't wait to go back!

I've now visited Minari three times in the last two months and can confidently comment on their consistency and service. The first two occasions were for dinner in the more formal dining area while the last was for drinks in the Pikok Lounge. Both spots are lively with smooth decor, dim lighting and a cozy but elegant feel. The dishes are excellent to share, with my favorite being their large pasta portions and a few of their small bites. They also have an excellent cocktail selection. The service is attentive and pleasant and there is a reason I've been back with such frequency. Small plates: - Fatty tuna: did not expect to like and loved, raw tuna is piled high on rice with little nori sheets as vehicles for consumption, flavorful and light. - Cream cheese wontons: first time around they changed by life, second time around I wondered why I loved them so much. A light dough stuffed with hot cream cheese and doused with a bed of pecorino. The plum sauce is special, but inconsistent. - Stuffed corn cakes: wow, two thick slabs of fried corn cakes stuffed with two cheeses and scallions, delectable and flavorful! - KFC wings: HUGE wings with an excellent crisp but lack of flavor, you can find better wings elsewhere (see Starling!) - Squid ink dumplings: need to eat them hot but quite good, pork and squid and shrimp are encased in a black noodle shell with a tasty sauce pooled at the bottom. - ?? Green beans: I am so sad if they have already removed these from the menu, amazing cream based sauce and nut topping I think? Pastas: - Crab Ramyeon: longer noodles in a chili butter and prawn bisque sauce - lacked crab meat but had great flavor. - Buldak Gnocci: my favorite dish, hot little gnocchi with a perfect crust are coated in a dreamy sauce with tons of shredded chicken and mozzarella cheese, huge portion and easily shared between three people. Meat: - Pork Belly: sliced off the bone with the remaining meat attached to a long bone, this was a solid bite. Would probably not order again as I think the other dishes offer more variety. Overall, there are many special small plates and the pasta portions are plentiful enough to share. You can try a bit of everything in an environment that welcomes you to stay for a cocktail or two. The Pikok lounge is just the bar side of the restaurant with its own separate menu and drinks. Similar vibes with cheaper more accessible plates.

Went to Minari in Minneapolis for dinner last night and had such a great time. When we walked in, I was surprised by how big and how absolutely beautiful the space was. The deep burgundy walls made it feel so warm and cozy, especially on a cold fall day. The large windows were gorgeous, and I loved being able to see into the kitchen. We were there for about two and a half hours and really enjoyed the entire dining experience. For drinks, we started with a round of cocktails. I had the Mekarushi, which was earthy and exactly what I was in the mood for. Then we split a bottle of wine and just took our time with dinner. We tried the squid ink dumplings and a vegetable dish from the dim sum cart to start, and both were really good. From the menu, we started with the Spicy Salmon Tartare. The spice was perfect, and the rice crackers gave it a great crunch. I was surprised by how many vegetables were in the dish. It wasn't bad, just different from what I expected. For mains, we shared the Crab Ramyeon and the Gwangyang Style Bulgogi, and both were incredible. The Bulgogi came with an array or sauces, but honestly it was so perfectly marinated that none of them were necessary. The portions were just enough to feel full but not stuffed. We skipped dessert this time but are already planning to go back. My husband would want me to mention that he loved the playlist, which fit the vibe perfectly: good songs, loud enough to notice but never distracting from the conversation.

I have had Korean BBQ here before as well and honestly I thought it was pretty decent. I ordered the bibimbap and it was very sloppily made with not enough ingredients. I used a good amount of gochujang for flavor which was normal but even the vegetables included in the original bowl were very plain. The japchae was pretty good as the vermicelli noodles were very flavorful. I would've preferred to see some more bell pepper pieces in it, though. My partner got the salmon roe nigiri, the agedashi tofu, and the soft tofu stew. They thought those dishes were pretty good. The agedashi tofu specifically, however, was a bit too soft in terms of its outer skin. I don't think this establishment would be one that I'd choose to visit if I am to bring friends to either Korean or Japanese food places in the Twin Cities, and it seems like others agree according to their reviews.

Plenty of tables available and lots of parking on the street. The place was pretty full by the time we left. The restaurant is huge with a good ambiance. Clean and not too loud. Bathrooms are a small journey to get to. They are shared bathrooms and on the lower level. Staff were attentive and kind. There was a call button on our table, but we never needed it. If you opt for AYCE, you mark your choices on a sheet of paper. You're given some marinated tofu, broccoli, tofu, kimchi, sprouts, greens to begin with. We ordered beef bulgogi, spicy pork, pork belly, and brisket. I probably could have done without the brisket or pork belly. Brisket dried out super fast and the pork belly was a little too fatty. Also ordered gyoza, fried rice, black bean noodles, seaweed salad, and a shrimp tempura roll. All were delicious, but we ended up with far too much food for just two people. At the end we were given ice cream. It was individually wrapped so we took it to go since we were so full. I'd definitely return again in the future!

The kimbap is the best thing there is, and they also sell this to go at the register (I've had this multiple times and I think it's the best kimbap I've had). Despite being mostly veggies, the kimbap is deep in flavor and very scrumptious. The sundubu-jjigae was a hidden gem for me. I didn't think I would like tofu stew but holy clam this soup had so much umami from the seafood. It's rich and hearty (not at all watery). Thai Tea French Toast- my friend and I shared, this along with everything listed below. Its so good and 1pc was more than enough. Also, I'm not a raspberry fan, but that tartness went so well with sweetness. Vegetable Spring Rolls- tasty and the peanut sauce reminded me more of a sweet and sour sauce which I liked. Crab Omelette- I only had a bite, but the egg light, the sauce rich and creamy, and the greens had a bit of mint that was a nice touch. The wings were very crisp and hot when they came out. The kept there crunch through our whole meal! I was impressed that the breading didn't start to get soggy. The Gangnam Style was sweet and salty with a little spiciness. It was spicy for me, but very tasty. I would be able to enjoy a couple pieces but the heat would eventually get to be too much for me. The honey garlic had no spicy rating. They were a nice complement to the spicy option we chose. This is a small restaurant with about 15 tables. It's counter service and you get a number for your table. The only thing slightly negative is the floor is a little sticky. The food is worth the trip to this place!

Each portion was filling, and the food was hot and fresh! My least favorite thing was the seafood stone pot. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, the spiciness, and it having frozen veggies. I preferred the regular bi bim bap. I would recommend coming here!

One can always easily find something on their menu that they can also find in Korea at a random location, and this establishment also gets the flavor right, along with the small plates that complement the meal. Whether it's the stone pot bibim-bap or just the bibim-bap, mixing rice with the given meat and vegetables, along with some gochujang, made it authentically delicious. The seafood pancake was more plain than the kimchi pancake, which was to be expected. It had the perfect amount of seafood to not make either the seafood or the pancakes overwhelming in terms of amount. The kimchi pancakes had the right kind of saltiness that was given by the kimchi. Once again, authentically delicious. The galbi tasted amazing, and I think I could taste a certain amount of butter based on the type of oiliness and saltiness that the meat had. I could remove the meat easily from the bones, and the meat was easy to chew as well. I think the black bean noodle was the only item that I was more critical about, because it was a bit watery and the sauce was plain. However, it wasn't bad at all and I still finished all of it. Just comparatively, it was less tasty, and I have had better in Korea or China. Around this area of Oak Street, if people want to look for good Korean food, there are a few very good options, and this establishment is definitely one of them. I would highly recommend it.
