As the owner of a plumbing company, I don't hand out five-star reviews very often because I know what it takes to earn one. Craftsman Sewers absolutely deserves it. We had an emergency at a mobile home park where the holding tank had overflowed, causing a major sewer backup. The tank hadn't been pumped in years, making it an extremely difficult job. We needed a company that could respond quickly and handle a challenging situation, and Craftsman Sewers delivered. They arrived on time with the right equipment and got straight to work. They made incredible progress on the first day and came back promptly the next morning to finish the job. They never complained about how difficult the work was--they stayed focused until everything was completed. What impressed me the most was their communication, professionalism, and work ethic. As a fellow contractor, I appreciate companies that show up when they say they will, do exactly what they promise, and take pride in their work. If you're looking for a dependable septic and sewer pumping company, I highly recommend Craftsman Sewers. They've earned my trust, and I'll definitely be calling them again when I need their services. read more

Felix and his crew are amazing. They certified our septic system. Thank you! Our septic tank needed 2 24" covers and 2 4" clean outs. Our septic tank was not right until they came and were able to fix it. The septic tank had to be cleaned out and videoed. What was their discovery? Our septic tank had only one 24"cover . This cover was not heavy duty either. The 4" clean outs were only 3"clean outs. Nothing was right. Also discovered was that our sewage pit had collapsed! We had to drill, hand dig and put in a new sewage pit and connect it up to our septic tank. Now our septic system is complete and certified. This represents a ton of hard work to be accomplished during very hot weather. It took almost 7 days to complete our job. This was hard and very tedious work. But Felix and his crew are always up for the task. They do work very hard. I can tell you that Craftsman Sewers are honest, they communicate to you well and they do not leave you in the dark. You will know about your septic system with them. They do keep things as clean as they can. This is not easy to do. They even hand watered areas to keep the dust down for us. It was a true pleasure to have Felix and the Craftsman Sewers crew at our home. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Does this cost money? Yes it does. But are they worth it? Yes they are. . .Everyday! Thank you to Felix and the Craftsman Sewers crew.! read more

We called Craftsman Sewers for a free estimate after dealing with two other plumbing companies that we're trying to sell us way more than what we needed for a sewer line replacement. Their technician Chris showed up on time and was able to properly diagnose our sewer line issues. we were given multiple options of repair or replacement & the benefits of each. We ended up going with the full replacement so that we never have to deal with the old sewer line in our front yard again!! we are very glad to have found them! I highly recommend their service for anyone in need. Thanks again for taking care of our sewer issue & having the property equipment that located our sewer line in the right direction when the other companies weren't too sure of where it ran. read more

Quick, professional, and easy peasy from start to finish. Our house needed a septic pump after about 5 years since the last service. The team responded quickly, scheduled us without hassle, showed up right on time, and got the job done efficiently. Great communication and smooth service overall. Highly recommend! read more

In one word - awesome. Felix (owner?) is super responsive to requests and continued communication throughout the project. Chris (technician) was able to diagnose the problem, easily explained the process to fix the issue and the job was done in efficient time. Craftsman was asked to clear a blockage in the sewer pipes feeding a septic tank as well as pump the tank after clearing the blockage. When having to deal with issues like these, value is self-explanatory. The price was right, in our opinion. Felix, Chris and Matt were all professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about their field. Would recommend them to anyone and we will be using them for annual maintenance going forward. read more

I contacted Felix after I had another company do a sewer line inspection on my newly purchased home and they had discovered a break in the sewer line under the city owned alley, but they, along with some other plumbers I contacted, didn't seem like they felt confident in doing the job due to the hassle of dealing with the city. Felix came pretty much right after I gave him a call, did a camera inspection free of charge (unlike the other guys!) and confirmed what the previous plumbers had told me and gave me a ballpark quote on the spot(which, again was more than the other guys did, and was in line with the scope of the job) in addition to confirming that he could do the job, as he does just sewers! While it took a bit of time to get the ball rolling due to needing to, indeed, the permits, once the job started Felix was in and out of my property in good time. He kept me updated about things like discovering that SoCalGas didn't mark that there were lines underneath the alley even though he had done a proper DigAlert request, which slowed his team down a bit, and answered any questions in general that I had! Unlike a lot of the franchise plumbers in the area, Felix is a true owner operator and a local! During the job he was there the entire time with his guys quite literally in the trenches, operating their (really cool!) mini excavator and such. Heck, I ran into him at Home Depot once! I always love supporting local businesses and if you do too, and you are in a poopy situation, I can't recommend Felix and his team enough!! read more

I waited too long to empty septic. Messaged craftsman on a Friday night, got immediate response, set appointment at 10am next morning, emptied tank as promised. read more

My tenant called a cheap plumber for a kitchen sink clog. I soon got a call saying the sewer lines had holes and the entire pipe needed to be re-lined with an epoxy. He is the estimate for close to $20k. I called Crafstman Sewers for a second opinion. Felix came by and ran the camera down the pipe and showed me a clean pipe with no holes. Literally saved me from a bill of tens of thousands of dollars from an unscrupulous chain rooter company. Craftsman Sewers has always been responsive, fair, and trustworthy. read more

Felix was one of the few plumbers who was willing give an estimate up front. Most plumbers I contacted through Yelp wouldn't even ballpark it and instead wanted to quote it in person even though I described the project in detail in my Yelp query. Once a vendor is physically on site, it can be awkward to decline service if they try to gouge you, so... I went with the solid quote from Felix. He and a colleague came out and together they cleared the line in under 15 min and all for the stated up-front price, which was reasonable. Would definitely use them again in the future. read more

What great service. Was told by another plumber that I had trench rot in a pipe underneath the house and would cost 5.5K to repair with extensive excavation needed. Had Felix from Craftsman came out and looked with a camera. No leak, no trench rot! Such honesty delivered with enthusiasm. Absolutely recommend this company Craftsman Sewers. Will use them in the future. read more

After finding out that we had some significant root intrusion in our sewer line, I contacted several companies for quotes and options to deal with the damage. Felix walked me through his recommendation and offered a competitive price. He also gave me plenty of time to consider my options and talk it over with my wife. Felix was also very available to answer all of my questions that came up as I weighed my options, and provided updated estimates when I asked to consider potential other options. In the end, I trusted his original recommendation and decided to move forward with it. When construction started, Felix was very open with informing me of what was going to happen and what to expect. He also didn't mind me standing out there watching and asking questions about the process. Felix also sent someone out in the days that followed when I had a concern that a sprinkler line may have been damaged from their work (it wasn't, but grateful for the fact that someone was sent out to take a look). All in all, very satisfied with their work and I would highly recommend working with them! read more

Called them to give us a second opinion on fixing our mainline sewer drain. They were fast to respond, came and inspected it for free, and gave honest feedback. It was not the immediate crisis that the other plumbers had made it out to be. But would need to be done at some point. Their bid was almost half what our other 3 bids were. We hired them, and they did a fantastic and fast job. They even inspected and helped us troubleshoot an unrelated issue that had led to the discovery of the mainline problems. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

So happy to have found Craftsman sewers. I was having foaming issues with our laundry and it was driving me crazy. I had a previous plumber come out and try to fix the problem but he couldn't and despite installing a clean out and hydro getting our lines the foaming was still happening. Finally went on Yelp and decided we needed help. Chris came over on time as scheduled and even called me before he was due to arrive. I liked that Chris came with all the tools and technology needed to assess our problem correctly. He was able to locate that a test tube had been left inside one of our drains causing the blockage. It was scary because the initial assessment was possibly breaking concrete, uprooting our newly installed floors, and having to fix the pipe. Luckily Chris said he wanted to try pushing the tube out with the camera first. Through hard work, sweat and perseverance it worked! Chris got the job done! I am extremely happy with the service we received and would highly recommend Craftsman Sewers. read more

I know the owner Felix from a previous bid at my residence. His professionalism and follow up stood out, so I kept his contact info from over a year ago and contacted him for another project. I'm in the design process of renovating the exterior from wood to stucco and re - landscaping my 69 year old residence. I had a sizeable wood deck removed so this was perfect timing to replace 50 feet of the root infested clay piping. The piping ran under the pavers patio and connected to my main line which is 200 feet long. I had several plumbers bid trenchless pipe (pipe bursting) or risk the chance that the pavers wouldn't look the same or level. In addition, some plumbing companies wouldn't reinstall existing pavers! Felix quoted a competitive price, included pavers reinstallment and completed the project in one day. I couldn't be happier with Felix & Craftsman Sewers and would highly recommend them for your project. read more

Felix and the whole crew at Craftsman are absolutely fantastic to work with! We had a very tight deadline on a big project with very little notice, and they got it done with excellent results. They took extra care to leave our custom landscaping intact, and put everything back the way they found it. Not only that, their pricing was competitive. No one had a better price! I'm sure there are other good crews in the area, but I'd never consider using anybody else going forward. read more

I highly recommend Craftsman Sewers. They performed a needed sewer repair at a fair price quicker than I expected. Felix is very prompt, organized, and able to work around complex situations (quirky neighbors and small streets). And he and his crew were as professional as they come. I was skeptical at first, but the service provided by Craftsman Sewers was exceptional, professional, reliable, and offered a fantastic value. We highly recommend Craftsman Sewers. We had an issue with our main sewer line and Felix and his crew performed the repairs with expert care at a reasonable price. The crew performed a trenches sewer line replacement and we could not be happier with the result. They were dope they passed my inspection for my septic tank before I sold my house in Covina . The workers were super knowledgeable and nice

The best in the business. Always SUPER helpful and very efficient with timing. They have fixed many issues for us and always very quick to get to the issue. Would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone if you want honest, quick, and efficient help. read more

I cannot say enough about this company. We had a main line sewer back up. I called two plumbers, nobody answered and the second one couldn't come out until the following week. Next call to Craftsman Sewers. Felix (owner) answered and told me his tech was nearby. They came out, put a camera down the pipe, showed us the broken clay pipes and tree roots. They had to bust up concrete, remove a fence, and dig another hole 15 ft away. It sounds so messy but it was so professionally done, you can't tell there was ever a problem! Concrete replaced, fence put back, and it was absolutely painless. Beautiful job, no hassle for us, took less than 2 days. And we were never without plumbing ( aside from the pipe-burst which was really quick.) Cleaned everything up and price was definitely fair. Thank you again to Felix and his crew, they were very nice, informative and professional. read more

I want to first say this is a very professional business. We had a Major Project, our septic was old and too small. We had to replace with a larger tank. Felix went above and beyond to make sure that our tank was properly sourced. He pulled permits from the city and made sure we were in compliance every step of the way. This company also is very responsive. When I called or Texted I got a response. If Felix was at another job he let me know and always followed up (Even in the evenings). During the process I was communicated with each step of the way. So I knew what was going on that day and what to expect the next day. Felix and his crew also cleaned up and left the site better than when they arrived. Thank you so Much Craftsman Sewers!!!! read more

I got several quotes to get my septic pumped. These guys were on time, great communication, professional, and reasonably priced.

Highly recommend this company! Honest, fair pricing, and highly knowledgeable. If you're having mainline sewer issues, call an expert. Don't trust your line to a plumber without the necessary knowledge to handle it properly. Felix and his crew stayed until I was completely satisfied. What an awesome company! We need more company owners like this! Thank you Felix and crew, you're the best! read more

Called and they responded immediately. I thought this was a good sign. So many contractors promise the world, but then don't even do the bare minimum. Made an appointment for them to perform the pumping service the following morning, and they didn't show up. Called, and they said they'd be here before noon, but they were a no show. Called and left a message. No response. Called and left another message. Still no response. This lacks basic courtesy. Most people are pretty understanding if you keep them in the loop. If you're delayed, or there's an issue, then COMMUNICATE that with me, don't leave me hanging. Especially since I had to take off work and rearrange my ENTIRE schedule for the day. All I wanted was a phone call or a text, but they didn't provide either. That's so unprofessional. Completely changed my perception of them. Since I was stuck without plumbing, I had to contact another vendor. These guys turned out to be just another scamming contractor. I do not recommend, and I wonder how they got so many good ratings if they can't even do the mere basics in terms of communicating. Ugh. read more

I called Felix at 8:30am, on a Monday morning and he answered on the 2nd ring! I didn't have to leave a message on an answering machine. He arrived by 4 hours later, rooted my main line and showed me the problem with the camera. I have an estimate to fix this problem once and for all and he and his crew left my sidewalk clean, unlike every other plumber who has come out. Thanks Felix. read more

We had a sinkhole develop in our front yard after recent heavy rains. It turns out that our 40-year old seepage pit for the septic system had collapsed, and we needed a fix. Felix responded quickly to our request for a quote, coming out the next day in person to assess the situation and offer a couple of options. Decommissioning the old pit and digging a new one was the best long-term solution, and work commenced the following week. The work was done in just over five days, and we could not be happier with the end result. Felix and his crew kept us posted on their progress, cleaned up their work each evening, and did a complete sweep and hose off of our driveway and sidewalk before declaring themselves done. While this was not an inexpensive job (and we had another quote that was higher), glad it was done with professionalism and pride. If you need septic system work done, these are the people to call. read more

I recently hired Craftsman Sewers to replace my plumbing, install a new lateral and abandon my septic tank. Felix was always responsive when I contacted him and promptly returned my calls and text messages. Felix was knowledgeable about septic tanks and sewers and always made me feel at ease regarding the scope of the project. I was also impressed with Felix responding to the paperwork required for the permits. Pricing was fair and he always provided detailed progress invoices. We had Felix with craftsman sewers out at our place earlier this week to install a new sewer line for our rv dump and new restroom that we are building for our pool house. Job was done in Whittier in November 2018. Review is late but I've had one and a half years of experience with the results of Felix's work. Price is within range for the job. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive but I feel the best value. For main line sewer issues, he's the man. read more

Trying to figure out what my property has (cess-pool vs septic tank I called late evening and was surprised to not only speak to a live person, but have all my questions answered and then some. I got some homework to do on my part but was happy to hear their advise, guidance and redirection instead of being sold on their services just to inspect what we're talking about like many other plumbers wanted to do. Furthermore, I learned some interesting facts about my property which tells me they really do their homework and care about their customers. If I need service I'll be sure to call this team first. If I could rate Craftsman sewers higher than 5 I would! Felix and his crew are the best around. To show you a bit of Felix's honesty, knowledge, and attention to customer satisfaction. I reached out to Craftsmans early 2023, Felix came out located my tank and gave me a fair price for excavating and pumping the tank. I had to push this project back due to financial restrictions at the time but I told him I would reach out again when funds become available. Come late 2023 going into 2024, I on the lookout again for septic work. Running into Felix again, he gave the same quote from a year ago and I had to jump on it. Felix worked with my wife and I to come up with a good timeframe on which we needed to work completed. Went above and beyond to fit us into his busy schedule. Ended up having to replace our whole tank due to neglect from the pervious owners, all in all great experience! All the work was done in 3 days, which I feel was pretty fast! read more

Absolutely recommend Felix and Craftsman Sewers. He earned 5 stars on all points for our job: responsiveness, professionalism, and cleanliness, which means a lot since they work with sewage! I appreciated how patient Felix was with me since I didn't know much about this topic, and he explained everything and took into consideration the property history we shared with him. His crew were also top notch, and they did a thorough job cleaning up after they finished their main job. So glad we went with them. read more
