This place has such great potential. Let me start the review though with the negatives and then end with the highlights. Should have bounced the moment I saw the "Seat Yourself" sign. Once we sat it took ten minutes before we were greeted and brought water, plus one menu for a party of three. Had to ask each time to get our water glasses filled and for napkins/silverware. When it was brought they just provided a stack of napkins and silverware for me to pass out around the table. At the end of the meal plates and drinks all empty. Waited fifteen minutes before we were checked again. No risk of me hanging around. Asked for the check and got out. Now for the good. The food was excellent, especially for what you paid. To be fair, this is probably more a result of their low foot traffic than anything else; they don't overstaff for obvious reasons - they'd lose money. The beer: The beer menu is good (nothing that will blow your socks off, but much more than a typical restaurant). I highly recommend any Brothers Brewing beers that they have available! The food: We haven't ordered a single item from here that we didn't love. They really know how to put together a delicious dish! If you come here and don't get the tots, you're missing out - tator tots meet nachos, an incredible pair! The prices are fair, great for being in Fairfax Corner. We live here in Fairfax Corner and the Crafthouse is our go-to restaurant whenever we feel like eating out. If you haven't tried them, try them. If you tried them and didn't like them, try again. I like this place. Was greeted by the bartender within 45 seconds. He went over the menu with me. The bartender was super attentive last Tuesday. It was a steady night but he kept up with the drinks pretty fast. I was on a date and as soon as he saw my date sit down the bartender came back over. Service needs improvement. We had to ask staff if we can sit at a table. Then after they allowed us to sit down. None of them offered us menus. We had to find our own menus. We had to also get our own napkins, utensils and plates from another table after we received our food. Went there on Saturday night Halloween weekend; awful experience. Sat there for 20 minutes before we even got a server to acknowledge we were there. (Had to get up find someone and ask). Ordered a flight of beer - Took another 15 minutes to get four different types of beers that were not what we ordered. It was not even a flight. My first time going to Crafthouse since it changed from being World of Beer, I was not disappointed. Brunch was delicious, my friends and I all got the chicken and waffles and the mimosas. The manager, Daniel, and our server Heather were great. They were super nice and checked in on us constantly. My only suggestion is that mimosas refills should be a penny rather than a quarter, granted a quarter isn't bad but considering the mimosas are $6 for the first one whereas,many other brunch places start mimosas off a quarter and stay that price. I was in contact with the manager, Stephanie, for over a week planning a brunch event for ~ 70 people. We had created a set menu, she had emailed us the credit card authorization form, and she had made it very clear that the restaurant was ready for us. On the morning we (~ 70 people) arrived, and there were just 3 people working, all who had no idea we were coming. There was no set menu ready for us, and the other manager was extremely apologetic that Stephanie had actually not relayed this information to anyone that worked there. Regardless, I want to give a huge thank you to Alice, the server, Kali, the other manager, and Grayson, the bartender, for being so helpful with a group of 70 people they weren't expecting. Although many people did have to wait a long time for their food, the food was great and the customer service (on the part of the people that were actually there that day) was awesome. This is the second time I've stopped in with my wife for a beer and a bite to eat. Opening day at World Of Beer and now re-branded as Crafthouse Both times were equally disappointing. We came for brunch Saturday memorial weekend. I should have known that on a busy holiday weekend not to eat at a place with only 2 tables of people. Food was terrible, Brunch burger, Loaded Tots, Bar Tacos, Chicken Wings.....all of it tasted frozen and disgusting. 90$ later...never again. We come here to play trivia every week for the past year and a half. Recently, they must have had a cook staff turnover, because the quality of the food has gone terribly downhill. Last night alone, we sent back two separate dishes due to the poor quality. The spinach artichoke dip used to be one of the best things on the menu but now it's just a bunch of heated up frozen spinach with some melted cheese on top. The flatbread used to be sturdy like a thin crust pizza but the crust is now droopy and soggy. The tater tots now seem to be nuked from frozen as they fall apart as soon as you pick them up when they used to be crisp. Past menu favorites are now no-gos due to the quality deterioration. Also, it seems they are often out of a lot of the beers on their beer menu. Becoming very disenchanted with this place and considering moving to trivia at a different venue. read more

Sorry to say this restaurant is doomed. While they have good food, unless you happen to get there when they decide to serve food, you'll be out of luck. Last night we tried to order via Uber eats or online through the restaurant but they said they weren't accepting orders because their kitchen staff was new. Tonight we went to the restaurant and arrived at 8:45. The posted closing time is 10:00. We were informed "last call" was 9:15 (or 9:30 depending on who you were talking to) and the kitchen closes one hour before that. What's worse is this is not the first time this has happened! Other times they decided to randomly close early or not be open at all! Even the manager wasn't that sympathetic, deflecting the decision by saying "I'm not the one who decides." I have officially given up trying to eat at this restaurant - a prime example of a good restaurant that will probably kill itself. Interesting selections of beers. Kelly is very knowledgable. She is the only friendly person there. On some occasions we sat outside, but on the occasions that we sat inside at the bar, The bartenders are unhappy and not very attentive. Today, the hoppy craftbrews with cute names doesn't do it for me. In for a lunch meeting and the food was solid. $8 lunch sandwich special (burger, pulled pork, marg. pizza) w/ purchase of a beverage (no word if that is an implied alcoholic beverage purchase). Friday specials include $5 Coronas (in a can, oddly), $6 half-order of nachos (solid, filled up a 10 inch plate), and even shots of tequila for $7. Thurs 1/2 priced bottles of wine. Wed...whiskey Wed. = $2 off whiskey. Tuesday is trivia night and $7 for a pair of tacos. And finally $5 burger Monday (which would be a solid deal) and discounts for mil/1st responders + service industry folk. Onto the food...solid burger, well cooked (not asked by the wait staff, but cooked to medium). Well-seasoned patty. Side of cole slaw (included) was flavorful and featured bits of apple; definitely an above-average cole slaw. Nachos were solid and tasty...plated with chili though toppings were a big skimpy. The food was solid, but just an average experience in a sports bar with a natural wood theme and the craft brews. Won't seek it out, but the burger was solid enough to potentially merit a $5 Monday visit for a burger craving. We were seated right away but after that the service went way downhill.
