The Plainfield area has really exploded with great places to eat. Craft'd has been around for about a year and a half, and has really developed a terrific menu, beer list, and customer following. The service is friendly, the food is served quickly and hot and delicious. The cheese curds are one of my favorites. Burgers are done no pink but are still juicy and hugely flavorful. Craft'd has a great bar atmosphere and friendly staff. We were sat quickly and our server was very helpful. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and the portions were huge, I loved it! I went with the hot chicken sandwich and even though the bun fell apart the sandwich was delicious. My nephews both ordered burgers and they are very picky but they both loved it. Last night's Dueling Pianos event was poorly organized. Our group of 10-12 hoped for reservations. We called 2 weeks prior and ANOTHER time a couple days prior and clearly stated no reservations and no ticket sales. We arrived at 6:30 to be told most tables were RESERVED! We were seated to eat after a wait, but told we would need to leave the table around 8:00 pm to be re-seated!!!!! Ummmmmm who does that to good paying customers? To top that, one in our party noticed atleast 4 empty tables and questioned the owner why we would be forced to leave? Within 10 min, two bouncers came and told her she must leave the building! As you can see, poor customer service and planning and extremely poor handling of this event! The server for dinner was great, food very good. But the rest was insanely rude and insulting. If CraftD will host events like these, plan ahead and appreciate the business you get. And, consideration we all live in the community-repeat business and word of mouth make or break a business!! Not a bad place, but kind of expensive. The booze and beer were fantastic but I would probably only go back to drink rather than eat. I had the cheese curds and the wings. The wings were definitely good, but the lack of options is what turned me off. They have unique choices but I guess it just is not what I expected from a bar. The cheese curds were okay, a little soggy though. A friend and I split their huge drink that's almost in a fish bowl (can't remember the name) but they serve it with Swedish fish and it was really tasty!! And I tried their peach hard cider and it's definitely now in my top 5 favorite drinks. Still with one beer, and my friend and I split the cost of the drink, my boyfriend and I still spent almost $60-$70 and he only had a burger and a soda, and my "entrée" was an appetizer. I don't frequent Plainfield often, so when a friend invited us to dinner here, we were excited to check things out. We arrived for an early dinner (6:30) and the place was already buzzin. The parking lot was huge but almost full. However, our wait wasn't long, maybe 5 min for a party of 6. We were seated in a high top booth. If that makes sense? You literally had to step up to get in the booth. We ordered the Craft'd poutine, smoked wings (garlic parmesan and buffalo) and I had the signature side salad with it. The poutine contained fries topped with pork shoulder, cheese, over easy egg and jalapeño bits. I am typically not a fan of jalapeno, but this dish was the exception. You don't usually see all of these ingredients in one dish, but they worked really well together. This and the signature side salad were the best part of the meal. The pig candy aka bacon in their salad was amazing. I have really high standard for wings, so I wasn't surprised that I wasn't blown away. It was okay. I guess I'm not a fan of smoked wings. I think the smokiness of the wings plus the sauce/seasoning causes a clash in flavors. I feel like you have to do one or the other, not both. Apparently they are known for their alcoholic drinks, but I can't comment since I was the DD for the drive home. Service was good and their prices weren't terrible. I've been here a few times already and I'm hit with an extremely rare indecision around what to get and that's one of the things I really love about this place. Normally I scan the menu and end up ordering first thing that jumps out at me. Everything ends up jumping out. Do I go with the spin on a classic meatloaf because its smoked? How about this spicy and sweet sandwich I've never heard of? Should I stick with a tried and true favorite? The menu is creative and if you are a little gun shy about trying new things you always have the Americana classics as well as a vast beer menu to fall back on. What keeps bringing me back is when I'm walking out I'm rolling around in my head the next menu item that I just have to try. My only warning is when the waitress advises you and your only eating companion tiny girlfriend that the pretzel is "like, really really big." Believe her. read more

Only 4 stars as a few times we've been there- VeRY busy and service was spotty. great food/ drinks/ atmosphere. the time that wasn't great- Hostess and bar tender were rushed and stressed. when we were seated we were told they were short handed and it would be a while. 30 min to get seated 45 min later someone brought us drinks and menus AFTER I went and asked the hostess if they'd just prefer we leave, as we were hungry (we had drinks from the bar which we retrieved ourselves). She said yes, they probably couldn't serve us. The owner who was standing there sent someone over and we ordered, later he came to the table with menus and free appetizer coupons. I've been here a few times now. The food is pretty decent but the service is very much lacking. One time our server made us feel incredibly unwelcome and like we were bothering her for being there, another forgot to take our order and probably wouldn't have if I didn't remind her. I've been struggling to find a go-to place in the Plainfield area. Craft'd is definitely added to the list. They have a great beer selection and a unique menu with plenty of great options. I went with the Cluck Yeah expecting it to be nothing like Nashville hot chicken. The heat was definitely comparable to what you'd get in Nashville. The chicken on the sandwich was excellent. The other people at my table loved their food and the restaurant, as well. I will definitely be back, but this time the sauce will be on the side! I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Had lunch here today. The white fish was excellent, better than anything I had in Florida. It came with their signature salad which was fantastic. Also our server was great. I won't be back to this place We went to this restaurant the first time today. Have to park in the handicapped due to a back issue. Noted immediately all the ice that was surrounded the parking spot and how difficult it was for me to walk. I mentioned this to the host immediately upon entering and said nothing, no concern only asked how many in our party! I was shocked! The food was greasy and the place so noisy it was very hard to hear in our party. I get it is a sports bar but still. We had cheese curds which were "so so" the breading on them was not very good and it was greasy. My hamburger was okay but I had to pick apart the ingredients to just have a regular plain ole burger! We paid $41 for two hamburger, one iced tea and cheese curds.... Upon leaving and entering the womans bathroom I noticed the handicapped stall completely overflowed with urine and feces and plugged up and another stall "out of order" so literally one bathroom in the place. Not noticing little details like that is what would keep me from coming back. Oh the menus were filthy and the table sticky. Clean this place up guys. No matter how good your food may be these little things are not acceptable for good dining. read more

Make sure if you order carry out to triple check your bag before leaving. Very disappointed to have the correct receipt attached to our bag, but not have the food we ordered. As we walked out, a woman was yelling at the hostess, "I'M NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!" And I'm sorry to say, I may never come back either. I've been to Craft'd 6 times. I've never seen the same staff. They are way too busy to accommodate the few staff they have working. I felt sorry for our waitress. I didn't want to complain about our cold food to her. I'm sure she was too busy making drinks to go get our food, so it sat getting cold. I've had 2 great experiences. Both on a Sunday afternoon. Not so busy with great live music playing. Don't go on a fri or sat night. If it looks busy, go somewhere else. Oh, I went once during the week and our waiter knew nothing. It's a shame because it's a beautiful venue. Great food and friendly service. Lots of great memu options here. Had the Cluck Yeah which was a take on Nashville Hot and was outstanding. Fries were just OK. Will try a different side next time. Also tried their Pig Candy (bacon with brown sugar) which was great and a must. Brought the kids for lunch, too. While its a bar setting you can still bring the kids. Stopped in after a long day of softball games, 20 of us....handled our large group of adults and kids with no problem. Food was AMAZING! I went here for the first time this past week. First of all, their food is delicious! I got the white fish with bruschetta and rice. My complaint is about the service. There were no signs on the door asking patrons to wear masks on the way in, but we did see social distancing signs. We were sat at a booth with another family in the booth next to us though. Our hostess wasn't wearing a mask at all. Other workers were wearing masks with their noses out, or down around their chin. As soon as we sat down, our waiter came over and pulled down their mask and said "is this ok with you ladies?" Out of shock we shook our heads. They then proceeded to lean over us and tell us what food they were out of. When they came back the second time we asked them to please wear a mask and they did so very willingly. Our salads were brought to us by someone without a mask on at all. At the end our waiter told us they are sleeping away from their family as we were getting our checks. But why is it ok to not wear a mask around customers but do so at home. I feel bad leaving this review but right now it's important to me to know I can have a dining experience and feel somewhat safe. Please update your Covid procedures because your food is great and your staff was friendly. Do better please. read more

It was our first time here, the drink special was good but that couldn't save the service, the extended waits for drinks and food etc. Our server Joe was polite, but not very attentive. He'd ask if we wanted more drinks, which we politely agreed to and we never received them. Then we ordered our food as a group of 8 and only one person's boneless wings came up then 20 minutes or so later the rest of our groups food started arriving( two of the meals were the same flavored boneless wings as well) We all ordered at the same time. Then to top things off the women's bathroom backed up and then women were asked to use the men's room which resulted in the women in our group to ask men to accompany them so other men wouldn't walk in while they were going. Then the men's room started backing up with dirty poop water all over the floor. At this point the bar still did not close it's doors and still let more customers in, our other guests had to leave and use the washroom at the gas station up the street. Joe then asked if we wanted our checks or to keep drinking we asked for more drinks and were given our checks. It took another 15 minutes to get our credit cards back. Overall it was just not a very pleasant experience. The random girl who was peeing next to my buddies car in the parking lot and scratched his car door using hers as a shield was just the icing on the cake. read more

Disappointed. The food had potential to be good. My husband and I went out for a cheat meal. We clearly & specifically said to not bring our fries out unless they are fresh out of the oil hot. Both of our fries were cold and when I said that we waited 10 minutes and she only brought 1 side. At that point I asked to speak with a manager. The server rolled her eyes at me.
