Cratf'd did a great job remodeling this space. The patio had a wait so we opted to sit inside but I loved the open air concept at the front of the restaurant. Being dog friendly gives this place a laid back feel. Extensive beer list and the mixed drinks were also tempting with their fun titles and creative combinations. I was happy to find that the food wasn't the boiler plate brewery food. I had the turkey burger with melted cheddar and raspberry jam and it was GREAT! My husband said the wings were great too (ordered half/half-two different sauces). Can't go wrong with 3 Floyds and BrickStone. Looking forward to the next visit! read more

The outside of this place is really beautiful and we were so excited to try it. We walk in and they have no seating we're told other than what they call the garage which we went and checked it out and it was very cold in there. We went up to the bar and the bartender Chelsea was awesome and she found a table for us. A waitress brought us Waters and we never saw her again. We asked three other servers to get her for us but she never came so we ask for the manager who was one of the ladies that couldn't find a place for us when we walked in. What kind of work does a little was that they had four open tables seating for 8 each. We asked if we could have one of those tables and they said no that they have to leave them open in case someone comes in. Oh my gosh if I had a party of eight I would call and make reservations. I've never heard of a restaurant leaving eight tables open just in case someone came in. And we were standing they had customers standing there waiting to eat and they couldn't find us a table. Personally I think that's horrible. So the manager comes over and we tell her that we can't get our waitress so she assigns the bartender to us so once again Chelsea save the day. She is awesome. The manager said that she recruited her from where she used to work last. Good decision. Anyway the manager was nice enough to offer us a free appetizer so we opted for the nachos. Oh my gosh the plate was huge. It looks delicious and we couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately something tasted very Pasty. We couldn't place if it was the cheese or the nachos or both of them together but pasty is the only word I could use to describe it. The smoke chicken on top of it was incredible however. Then we ordered the Reuben and the meatloaf because when we came in they both looked incredible. The meatloaf portion was big though a bit skimpy on the mashed potatoes we both tasted the meatloaf and we're quite disappointed. It tasted waterlogged like they kept it in a steamer. So obviously The Taste was gone. It was quite sad because it really did look delicious. The Reuben also seemed kind of waterlogged. And not very much meat on the sandwich. But the tater tots were crispy and freaking awesome. Besides salad that came with my meatloaf was quite wonderful it was Tiny but it was their signature salad with spinach and goat cheese and bacon. I really couldn't eat the meatloaf at all so I sent it back. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Again the serving was huge. The chicken was moist but had no flavor. The crunchy on the outside was good but I think they would have needed to season the chicken. The waffles were to die for. They were more like bread and I dip them into the Mulberry sweet thoughts that it came with. It truly didn't taste like Mulberry it tasted more like a caramel but regardless it was very good. We decided that if. Big if we came back there again we would definitely go for the chicken. Other dishes. Not so much. So I don't know what to really make of this experience. The service was horrible except for the bartender. The food was horrible except for the chicken so I guess I'll just leave it at that. It's because we had to order a different meal and also lack of service before we finally put our foot down that I'm leaving 1 star. When you go out to eat. You want to be served and taken care of. I can't say enough about how wonderful friend get together night we had at Craft'd. They easily sat a group of 7. The service was so friendly and efficient. We started with drinks. I got the red sangria. It was amazing. Some got crafted beer. Next was appetizers we ordered candy bacon(WOW!), cheesy artichoke with chips and pita(my husband's favorite), and buffalo cauliflower(little spicy but my favorite). The entrees were tasty and large portions. Here's is what was ordered foot long grill cheese with pulled pork added to it(enough for 2), meatloaf, Mac Daddy minis bun/Mac and cheese, various burgers, and chicken dinner I think most came with house salad which was perfect. I was my first time for my husband and I and we live so close. We will definitely be back and can't wait to do the outside seating in the Spring. I was here 11-05-2021 around 7 ish. My cousins and I were just getting ready to pay and leave and while I'm paying with card, the waitress is trying to trick me into pressing the 7 dollar tip button. I was telling her no but she clicked it anyways and then my cousins paid, one in cash and one on card as well. So after we pay, the waitress walks around back somewhere and we leave. Right as we're walking out of the restaurant the waitress comes out of nowhere trying to get more money. She was saying that my cousin that paid in cash didn't pay full cost when she actually did pay full cost and an extra dollar. The Plainfield area has really exploded with great places to eat. Craft'd has been around for about a year and a half, and has really developed a terrific menu, beer list, and customer following. She ordered the chips with it much better choice than the fries. Sandwiches were both huge and delicious, lots of leftovers. I kept seeing this place in passing as I drove by and finally made my way back to it. I'm glad I did, this is a pretty nice spot, great for having a leisurely lunch with family and/or friends or a good spot to watch the game. It's still fairly new but I can see the buzz is still flowing about this place. When they told us the chicken sandwich was way bigger than the bun, I thought they were exaggerating but let me tell you they were not. Now that is what I call a chicken sandwich. Not only does Craft'd have a top tier beer selection, it's food is second to none. The menu is pretty much what you'd see at any sports bar, Blt's burgers wings etc etc but it's the quality of the food. I've never been somewhere that everything on the menu is fantastic. I recommend the Nashville hot traditional wings and a Cuban. But the philly, Ruben and BLT are also tied for first. read more

Last night's Dueling Pianos event was poorly organized. Our group of 10-12 hoped for reservations. We called 2 weeks prior and ANOTHER time a couple days prior and clearly stated no reservations and no ticket sales. We arrived at 6:30 to be told most tables were RESERVED! We were seated to eat after a wait, but told we would need to leave the table around 8:00 pm to be re-seated!!!!! Ummmmmm who does that to good paying customers? To top that, one in our party noticed atleast 4 empty tables and questioned the owner why we would be forced to leave? Within 10 min, two bouncers came and told her she must leave the building! As you can see, poor customer service and planning and extremely poor handling of this event! The server for dinner was great, food very good. But the rest was insanely rude and insulting. If CraftD will host events like these, plan ahead and appreciate the business you get. And, consideration we all live in the community-repeat business and word of mouth make or break a business!! I don't frequent Plainfield often, so when a friend invited us to dinner here, we were excited to check things out. We arrived for an early dinner (6:30) and the place was already buzzin. The parking lot was huge but almost full. However, our wait wasn't long, maybe 5 min for a party of 6. We were seated in a high top booth. If that makes sense? You literally had to step up to get in the booth. We ordered the Craft'd poutine, smoked wings (garlic parmesan and buffalo) and I had the signature side salad with it. The poutine contained fries topped with pork shoulder, cheese, over easy egg and jalapeño bits. I am typically not a fan of jalapeno, but this dish was the exception. You don't usually see all of these ingredients in one dish, but they worked really well together. This and the signature side salad were the best part of the meal. The pig candy aka bacon in their salad was amazing. I have really high standard for wings, so I wasn't surprised that I wasn't blown away. It was okay. I guess I'm not a fan of smoked wings. I think the smokiness of the wings plus the sauce/seasoning causes a clash in flavors. I feel like you have to do one or the other, not both. Apparently they are known for their alcoholic drinks, but I can't comment since I was the DD for the drive home. Service was good and their prices weren't terrible. Not a bad place, but kind of expensive. The booze and beer were fantastic but I would probably only go back to drink rather than eat. I had the cheese curds and the wings. The wings were definitely good, but the lack of options is what turned me off. They have unique choices but I guess it just is not what I expected from a bar. The cheese curds were okay, a little soggy though. A friend and I split their huge drink that's almost in a fish bowl (can't remember the name) but they serve it with Swedish fish and it was really tasty!! And I tried their peach hard cider and it's definitely now in my top 5 favorite drinks. Still with one beer, and my friend and I split the cost of the drink, my boyfriend and I still spent almost $60-$70 and he only had a burger and a soda, and my "entrée" was an appetizer. Only 4 stars as a few times we've been there- VeRY busy and service was spotty. great food/ drinks/ atmosphere. the time that wasn't great- Hostess and bar tender were rushed and stressed. when we were seated we were told they were short handed and it would be a while. 30 min to get seated 45 min later someone brought us drinks and menus AFTER I went and asked the hostess if they'd just prefer we leave, as we were hungry (we had drinks from the bar which we retrieved ourselves). She said yes, they probably couldn't serve us. The owner who was standing there sent someone over and we ordered, later he came to the table with menus and free appetizer coupons.
