I've been walking past this tiny pizzeria for what feels like forever and finally decided to stop in. The place is super cute, really clean, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming even though I looked completely lost like I had no idea what I was doing. Since it was my first time there and I was on my way home from work, I decided to grab a slice of sausage and cheese and I'm telling you it was freaking amazing. I couldn't even bother driving home so I ate it right in the car and honestly I don't regret a single bite. The crust was perfectly crisp, the cheese melted just right, and the sausage was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I kept thinking to myself how I don't understand why I haven't stopped here sooner because this pizza is exactly what I needed after a long day. This is definitely one of those little hidden gems in the city. The staff makes you feel welcome, the place is spotless, and the pizza is consistently great. They send you a link and make you download the app in order to monitor the progress of your online order. However, it seems that you can't actually do that unless you initiate the order through the app. And once you sign up you get spammed. Whatever. My partner loves the pizza here. He gets the pepperoni. I have always gotten the cheese and me and everyone else in my family and everyone we've taken there always says the cheese pizza is too salty. It's almost everything I want it to be. Sometimes the crust is burnt to a crisp! I know they use a pizza oven and that's kind of its deal but, sometimes it's just way too much. I chose Craft Pizza because the ratings were fairly high and it looked like they had some craft. Maybe even some pizazz -- as they had chickpeas and cranberries in their organic salad. We ordered a 3 item pizza and salad for delivery. It was bad, like so bad we regretted eating it. Here's why: 1. There was no discernible sauce. None. This was a regular pizza with 3 ingredients and there was no flavor of sauce at all. Sauce is very important to the flavor of pizza. This pizza had no flavor except.... 2. Olives were one of the toppings. But these olives were so salty that the only flavor on the whole pizza was salt. It was salt pizza. Note: I always get olives--I'm not sure if these olives were different or what. But they made the whole pizza inedible. 3. The outer crust of the pizza was fine. The whole center crust was as thin and soggy as a Kleenex. Yuck. Mortal pizza sin. Read no further. 4. The cheese was flavorless. 5. We happen to get mushrooms. There were so few mushrooms on the pizza, that it didn't seem like a mushroom pizza. It probably averaged out to 2 slivers of mushroom per slice and no actual taste of mushroom. These were just plain mushrooms, nothing fancy. Have mushrooms gotten expensive or something? One of the diners noted: "I never noticed a mushroom. I ate two slices. That's a total surprise to me that there were mushrooms on this pizza. I barely tasted an artichoke either." 6. There was nothing positive about this pizza at all. It was just bad and disappointing. Outer crust was ok.... It also took more than an hour which was a lot longer than it predicted. (But that probably wasn't Craft Pizza's fault.) Salad was ok. We threw this pizza away. Finally tried Craft. I live nearby, so I placed a home order and walked. Their DoorDash was turned off for some reason. They let me do half and half which was nice (but you can't mix red/white sauces). We went with Bacon Bianca and Devil in the White City. I enjoyed both. My husband wasn't a fan because the crust is super then and there's an equal layer of cheese, if not thicker, so he said it was too cheesy. The toppings weren't exactly evenly dispersed but I know they were busy. We also tried the garlic bread. It was alright. If I came back I would prob give the red pizza a try. read more

Great local artisan pizza place! Get "the devil in the white city". Highly recommend going on Tuesday for the $12 pizza deals, my husband and I would BYOB a bottle of wine and sit on the patio in the summer, and normally I'm not a sit down pizza date kinda gal. I took a chance to look at the menu online and they are not able to pre-order online but they do accept call in orders. I ordered the "Wicker Pork" which has smoked Canadian bacon (ham) with pineapples and "Spinach" which has a slathering of spinach, tomato's and garlic. Both were purchased on Tuesday during their special's which is a few dollar's off per pie. I waited inside and I got both pies fairly fast. The both pies was tasty but the entire family agreed that the pies were overly seasoned which took away from all the fresh ingredients. Solid place for some New York style pizza! I've been searching for somewhere with a great thin crust and I think I've found it at Craft. They sell pizza by the slice during their happy hour, which is a fantastic deal with a cheese slice for $3 and pepperoni/sausage for $3.50. We opted for the Devil in the White City and it had a nice punch of heat with the gooiest of cheese pulls. Really the only thing I have to fault is that the tip of the pizza does not hold up very well, so sometimes the toppings are sliding off as you pick up a slice from the tray.
