The Mrs. was craving a burger and found Craft Burger on Yelp. So we trekked out to Placentia to give it a try. Craft Burger sits in a strip mall on the corner of Kraemer and Yorba Linda Blvd. It sits right next door to the Original Pancake House. We arrived around noon and were seated right away. The decor is industrial but comfortable. The place almost gives off a brewery vibe with the beer tap pulls. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys a gourmet burger. I often refer to gourmet burgers as "wearable" meaning when you bite into it you end up wearing it on your shirt. I'm a purist when it comes to a burger. I just feel that only the basics are necessary. Just a well seasoned beef patty topped with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo all placed on a nice fluffy bun. Craft Burger has a lot of gourmet options. Since I'm a fan of garlic I decided to try the Garlic Burger which was prepared with a perfectly seasoned Angus beef patty and topped with garlic aioli, lettuce, house garlic cheese, grilled onion, and two onion rings all placed on a toasted brioche bun. It was really good and frankly, it could have had more garlic. You can never have enough garlic. The Mrs. and kiddo ordered the Regular Cheeseburger which was prepared with an Angus beef patty topped with craft house sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onions on a toasted brioche bun. They both seemed to enjoy it. The burgers are large enough for two people to share. I asked the kitchen to cut mine in half because I knew I couldn't finish it. Mrs. and kiddo ended up only eating half of their burger and took the rest home. For a side dish we ordered the onion rings which were the best the three of us have ever had. They were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. Three sauces are served with the onion rings. Ranch, Sriracha Aioli, and what I think was a Teriyaki. The restaurant looked exactly the same as I remembered except certain decorations, which reminded me the good old times when I used to visit them all the time. We had dinner here a couple of weeks ago, it was alright. There weren't many people in here when we visited, so everything happened super fast. Our food was brought out to us within minutes of ordering. I had the garlic burger which has garlic aioli and garlic cheese, but I really didn't taste much garlic at all, so I was pretty let down. I also felt this was super heavy and greasy, and I didn't feel great after eating it. Husband had the California Burger, which is your typical cheeseburger, but also has bacon, fried egg, and avocado. I also thought this was just too heavy. One bite was enough for me! We split an order of onion rings, they come drizzled with ranch, sriracha, and teriyaki sauce. Weird. I didn't like the breading on these at all, and I could have done without that combo of sauces on it. This not so spectacular dinner was about $40. Mac & cheese on this burger is so generous that it's practically a side on its own. It's also perfectly seasoned, which is another reason that it's so tasty! The Luigi burger was delicious as well, but they were out of cheese sticks in the kitchen, which was disappointing because that was why it was selected. I tried Craft Burger based on the Yelp reviews and the photos. Located in a strip center, the atmosphere was typical Burger/Brewhouse. The Burger was great. The Onion Rings were greasy and flavorless. They offered sauces for the Onion Rings, but you shouldn't have to rely on sauces for flavor. The Milk Shake tasted like it was made with Hershey's Chocolate Sauce and was mediocre at best. The service was quick and professional. Just went here tonight...and no thabk you. This place is like a rebranding of the meat spot that was here previously...same horrible cooking. The fries came out old and semi cold tasting. Let alone a burger that is all mush since they went with green oily lettuce when they need a crunch in there...? This cook either has 0 idea what hes doing or hes just given up. I took a look at the menu and decided to order the Mac Attack Burger, assuming it would be photo worthy and taste amazing (I love mac n' cheese and burgers). The verdict: - Mac Attack Burger: Mac attack indeed, this burger was overflowing with mac n' cheese. After eating the mac n' cheese that was outside of the burger I took my first bite. So good. The flavors didn't clash and I could taste everything. Well done. I probably should've ordered fries with it but maybe next time. Service was good but a little bit slow. It's probably due to the fact that I picked the almost out of sight corner table and they got even more busy. There's plenty of parking available. It's fine but could be better. The burger was ok. And with a few adjustments, it could be very good. I ordered the cowboy burger and man, it nearly impossible to comfortably eat. It was like they emptied a bottle of BBQ sauce on the burger. I really hate that. I want to hold a burger and eat it. I don't want a bbq sauce waterfall coming down after each time I take a bite. It also wasn't cooked correctly. I like some pink in a burger but it was way too underdone for my liking.
