Coming inside it was empty, I don't know why, this was the best burger I've had in town! I sat at the bar and got a mushroom Swiss burger, a half order of fries, and a hard cider. The food was out pretty fast. The burger was AMAZING!!! Thick, juicy, cooked perfectly, and the King's Hawaiian roll bun was so soft and fresh! This evening we decided to try a new place to us, to bring home and eat. I should know not to do this on the first try but did it anyway. Grandson wanted chicken sandwich and I wanted a salad. Ordered a kids meal for toddler which we chose Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. I ordered an Asian chicken salad which looked good on their menu. I did not know you have to order everything separately although I did want onion rings. I was not asked if I wanted fries or anything else to up sale me. I was handed the bag and got to the parking lot and realized I was not given the drink that goes with the kids meal so I had to go back in. Once home I opened the bag. I believe pictures can say a thousand words. Chicken sandwich was ok per grandson. He wolfed it down before I could take a picture and he was still hungry. I wish I had realized i need to order the fries! Luckily I had ordered the onion rings and just gave them to him. I had ordered them for me. The kids meal for the price was extremely small portioned and there were no sweet potato fries in the bag. I ended up giving the mandarin oranges to toddler that would go on my salad. The salad is the size of a side salad in any restaurant but they did put the grilled chicken on the side. A very small portion. Once you look at my picture, look at the menu picture. I didn't go in for a beer or a burger which maybe I should have done on my first try but I did pay for a salad which should have been a meal for the price. Served in a beautifully baked Brioche loaded with well seasoned Angus patty, pickles, tomato, bacon!!!, American cheese, avocado, lettuce and sunny-side fried egg with their special house sauce - it makes my mouth water just typing it ha ha - It was really really good, it comes with a side of perfectly fried fries - trust me, I would say something if this wasn't fried properly, it has a lovely outside crunch yet maintained a nice chewiness inside. We also ordered a side of their Onion Rings to share, fried and battered to bangle like perfection, it was Bow Chicka Wow Wow good especially with their dipping sauce options! And of course, with all this richness and goodness, we needed something to push it down - a couple pints of Lager did the trick! lol Granted, the burgers are much pricier than your typical fast food burger joint but part of it is the experience you get like with many sit-down restaurants where you get great friendly service and a place where you could chill and relax with your friends or family in addition to getting a boutique burger with patties cooked to your preferred doneness. We had dinner here a couple of weeks ago, it was alright. There weren't many people in here when we visited, so everything happened super fast. Our food was brought out to us within minutes of ordering. I had the garlic burger which has garlic aioli and garlic cheese, but I really didn't taste much garlic at all, so I was pretty let down. I also felt this was super heavy and greasy, and I didn't feel great after eating it. Husband had the California Burger, which is your typical cheeseburger, but also has bacon, fried egg, and avocado. I also thought this was just too heavy. One bite was enough for me! We split an order of onion rings, they come drizzled with ranch, sriracha, and teriyaki sauce. Weird. I didn't like the breading on these at all, and I could have done without that combo of sauces on it. This not so spectacular dinner was about $40. I would have been happier with a Farmer Boys dinner for half the price! Husband said he would like to try them again, I think that is something he will need to do with one of his friends. read more

The Mrs. was craving a burger and found Craft Burger on Yelp. So we trekked out to Placentia to give it a try. Craft Burger sits in a strip mall on the corner of Kraemer and Yorba Linda Blvd. It sits right next door to the Original Pancake House. We arrived around noon and were seated right away. The decor is industrial but comfortable. The place almost gives off a brewery vibe with the beer tap pulls. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys a gourmet burger. I often refer to gourmet burgers as "wearable" meaning when you bite into it you end up wearing it on your shirt. I'm a purist when it comes to a burger. I just feel that only the basics are necessary. Just a well seasoned beef patty topped with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo all placed on a nice fluffy bun. Craft Burger has a lot of gourmet options. Since I'm a fan of garlic I decided to try the Garlic Burger which was prepared with a perfectly seasoned Angus beef patty and topped with garlic aioli, lettuce, house garlic cheese, grilled onion, and two onion rings all placed on a toasted brioche bun. It was really good and frankly, it could have had more garlic. You can never have enough garlic. The Mrs. and kiddo ordered the Regular Cheeseburger which was prepared with an Angus beef patty topped with craft house sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onions on a toasted brioche bun. They both seemed to enjoy it. The burgers are large enough for two people to share. I asked the kitchen to cut mine in half because I knew I couldn't finish it. Mrs. and kiddo ended up only eating half of their burger and took the rest home. For a side dish we ordered the onion rings which were the best the three of us have ever had. They were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. Three sauces are served with the onion rings. Ranch, Sriracha Aioli, and what I think was a Teriyaki. The proton size was large enough for three people to share. Beer and wine are available. I enjoyed a glass of the House West Coast IPA. It was nice and hoppy. Mac & cheese on this burger is so generous that it's practically a side on its own. It's also perfectly seasoned, which is another reason that it's so tasty! The Luigi burger was delicious as well, but they were out of cheese sticks in the kitchen, which was disappointing because that was why it was selected. It was my first time visit ever since the new ownership. I was curious and excited at the same time since I loved the previous burger place. The restaurant looked exactly the same as I remembered except certain decorations, which reminded me the good old times when I used to visit them all the time. As soon as I arrived at the restaurant, the server quickly seated us. It did take a while until she returned to take the order but she had a great service. We ordered the pizza fries, Cali burger and Mac Attack burger and the pizza fries arrived first. The fries were crispy and the tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese and pepperonis on top made it a perfect harmony that we couldn't stop eating. The presentation of the burgers were more impressive. I tried Craft Burger based on the Yelp reviews and the photos. Located in a strip center, the atmosphere was typical Burger/Brewhouse. The Burger was great. The Onion Rings were greasy and flavorless. They offered sauces for the Onion Rings, but you shouldn't have to rely on sauces for flavor. The Milk Shake tasted like it was made with Hershey's Chocolate Sauce and was mediocre at best. The service was quick and professional. I may go back and try the Loaded Fries and Potstickers. 3 stars for the Burger and Service. I think they can do better. read more

Things tried: 1. Carne asada fries: it was good. Nice and cheesy and a good spread of toppings. Just wished there was a little more. 2. California Burger: I omitted the tomato and pickles and added grilled onions. It's not a bad burger - patty was cooked to medium as requested and the bun is nice and fluffy. The cons: It's a tad on the messy side to eat and I wish there was a little more avocado. 3. Onion rings: they are good and loved that you had 3 sauce options, just wish there were more than 8 onion rings or if there are just 8 wish each ring was thicker. Overall - the staff is nice and the food was good, but it's a tad on the pricey side for what you get. Not to hate, but I'd probably just go to in-n-out if I want a burger. read more

Yum yum yum! I went to this place for the first time last week and def will be coming back! The shopping center has a lot of parking and this place has a lot of seating. The servers are all so friendly and welcoming as soon as you enter. One side of the restaurant had a sporty bar feel and the other felt like a standard restaurant. It definitely is a lively place! The food came super quick for a Friday night and everything my party ordered looked amazing. I got the jalapeño burger and it was sooo good. They offer unlimited dressings and sauces on the side so I recommend trying a few to see what you like. I like the ranch and spicy Mayo type sauce (forget their name of it). Just went here tonight...and no thabk you. This place is like a rebranding of the meat spot that was here previously...same horrible cooking. The fries came out old and semi cold tasting. The onion rings had slivers of the back end of the onion..like that type that tastes like the skin and doesnt chew...the onion rings looked good, maybe a tad dark ..but were in fact drenched in oil that maxe us sick later. The ranch?? Tasted like they were cutting corners and actually added water to it.. The mac burger?? The mac was gritty and cold when it came out..the bun wasnt toasted and felt like way too much bread compare to the oddly small perfectly round suspiciously resemblant of a frozen patty. There was like a quarter inch thick layer of lettuce too...who puts lettuce...let alone that ampunt of lettuce on a mac n cheese burger??? Only one bun was sauced, and the top of my burger looked barely cooked enough and the bottomw as charred. I also got the added bacon...who undercooks bacon for a burger??? Let alone a burger that is all mush since they went with green oily lettuce when they need a crunch in there...? This cook either has 0 idea what hes doing or hes just given up. Placentia's hottest new restaurant. No joke, this place was packed and busy when I went! As soon as you enter you'll be in front of a podium where the friendly host will greet you. Looking around you'll notice bar seating in front of you, tables to the left and right, and outdoor seating. People everywhere enjoying their meals. I came solo to give this restaurant a try and requested the corner table, so that no one can stare at me taking photos haha. I took a look at the menu and decided to order the Mac Attack Burger, assuming it would be photo worthy and taste amazing (I love mac n' cheese and burgers). The verdict: - Mac Attack Burger: Mac attack indeed, this burger was overflowing with mac n' cheese. After eating the mac n' cheese that was outside of the burger I took my first bite. So good. The flavors didn't clash and I could taste everything. Well done. I probably should've ordered fries with it but maybe next time. Service was good but a little bit slow. It's probably due to the fact that I picked the almost out of sight corner table and they got even more busy. There's plenty of parking available. Had my first visit here, and hoping my next will be a 5 star visit as well. We were welcomed in by a very smiley and friendly young lady who sat us immediately. Had a couple different waiters helping out with our table (I suspect one was the new owner). Very friendly team, you can tell their number 1 objective is to make sure their customers are happy. Our table ordered the claimed best of the best chili bowl, carne asada fries, and the cowboy burger. I did not eat any of the carne asada fries, but I loved every bite of the burger and chili. I am not normally a chili guy, but I left last night already wanting to go back for another bowl. The chick who was taking food to the tables was spot on a perfect beauty. I am eager for my next visit and plan on trying different plates to keep getting the feel of this spot. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, has a lot of the decor from when it was Meat Up BBQ. The property management has recently completed some nice upgrades to the parking lot and buildings, which adds to the ideal setting. Placentia might just have a true champ right here. read more
